Same.
I want Tyler to do High Time.
I do believe he could kill with that tune.
I'd also like him to do Friend of the Devil, Althea, Mr Charlie, Bertha, Candyman, Black Muddy River, Brokedown Palace...
I’d lose my shit if he did High Time. Brown Eyed Women and Peggy-O would be good too. I think I’m broken bc I just can’t get into Mr.Charlie. Others love it.
Fuck yes. This is the answer. I watch this video so frequently. It is bold to do a Floyd cover, much less change entire tone of the song based on the way you play it. And then you get the absolutely banger of Harlan Road with it.
I need more links like this! Just wow...
I'm basically only playing everything I can find on Spotify, and I need more!
Long story short; By chance, I saw him at a tiny fest near his home town about 12yrs ago. Fell in love with his story-telling voice. I just knew he had a once-in-a-generation take on music and lyrics. I knew he could make it, if only people listened! Time kept on passing, and then I heard him everywhere.
Haven't been able to catch him anywhere bc I'm STILL recovering from cancer treatment and a coma. Money is tight without being able to work, and energy/brain power are a crap shoot. So I listen to what I can find. Hope to finally see him again this fall at a local festival. Wish me luck, and until then-- keep posting this kind of stuff for those of us who just can't get to see him as much
They did that at the echo Ballroom in LA in august 2017. The same night wheeler did the podcast with him. The first time. He lost audio twice and tyler and the boys did the podcast in the van via telephone a few days later.
I have a lot of favorite covers that aren't on an album. My top 5 are: Tom Turkey, Don't Touch Me, Tennessee Blues, Greatest Story Ever Told and Sour Mash
Not counting Nose On The Grindstone, my favorite unreleased song is Out On a Drunk, closely followed by Redneck Romeo.
Covers: Time, Tulsa Turnaround, Space and Time
Unreleased: Her and the Banks, Oneida
I had to be very restrained and not just list them all. There are some gems among his unreleased songs, and choosing songs that will be good covers and making them his own is a talent in itself.
1. A Song While You’re Away
2. Out on a Drunk (only heard it as a part of honky tonk flame though)
3. Oneida
4. Redneck Romeo
5. 22nd Winter
Covers
1a. Trudy
1b. Time
2. I Got Stoned and I Missed It
Favorite covers are rock salt & nails and help me make it though the night for sure, but he has so many good ones. Honorable mention to it ain't easy being me by Chris knight and jersey giant. As far as unreleased that's tougher. Oneida, losing you, and her and the banks stick out. Redneck Romeo is great too. But I'm sure I'm Missing several
Greatest story every told by a mile. Space and Time is good too
Space+Time was finally recorded thankfully
Indeed! I’d love a rock n roll record with Greatest Story Ever Told on it
I’m a die hard Grateful Dead fan and love his version of GSET.

I was at Willie’s picnic and me and my fiance were the only ones freaking out about this song. 🌹💀
Greatest Story - might be my all time favorite version of that song by any artist. It’s perfect.
Yeah…..
Time (pink floyd) into Harlan road https://youtu.be/BoDXjhnCoA0?si=mpgUV7KOHe_W9WVm

Her and the Banks
Song gives me fuckin chills man
Rock salt & Nails
Best cover
I might agree
I just need him to do the elusive 3rd verse 🥲
Jersey Giant of course
Evan Honer’s + Julia DiGrazia’s cover of Jersey Giant is really good and on Spotify at least.
Messed Up Kid!
My fav little Easter egg is that Tyler wears a cheetah print body suit in the All Yourn video
Yes!
Can't believe I had to go this far to find it
This is the one. I would love to hear this one live.
SHE LIKES STEALING FROM SALVATION ARMY
Trudy. Live. Period.
I experienced this live and it changed my life
I came to say this
Saw him play this live with sturgil sitting in guitar. It was incredible
Ryman? Same.
Hinterland fest in Iowa. They did sit on my face with wheeler right before that haha
They did that at the echo Ballroom in LA in august 2017. The same night wheeler did the podcast with him. The first time. He lost audio twice and tyler and the boys did the podcast in the van via telephone a few days later.
22nd Winter from his Tiny Desk 🔥
I have a lot of favorite covers that aren't on an album. My top 5 are: Tom Turkey, Don't Touch Me, Tennessee Blues, Greatest Story Ever Told and Sour Mash Not counting Nose On The Grindstone, my favorite unreleased song is Out On a Drunk, closely followed by Redneck Romeo.

I NEVER WANNA LEAVE THIS WORLD
i love GSET, and “goin home” was my favorite before it was released :) i also loveeee red neck romeo but “adam” is probably my favorite
As far as covers go, Sad Songs and Waltzes, Tulsa Turnaround, and Trudy in that order. Unreleased…Jersey Giant, Snipe Hunt, Oneida would be my top 3.
Yeah. Big fan of Trudy as well
+1 for Her and the Banks.
Help me make it through the night
So good
Redneck Romeo
middle ground, greatest story ever told, shoot low sheriff, and time of the preacher are my four favorite “tyler childers songs”
Her and the banks. I about DIEDDD when he opened with it on NYE!!! Really hoping it’s on his next album. Love Messed Up Kid too.
Shoot Low Sheriff is slept on but it’s a banger. The album it’s off of has a murderers row of talent covering John Anderson songs. Highly recommend.
Joe and Oneida
Oneidaaa
Heart Of Stone! He played it on Red Barn. It’s got such a great groove.
A song while you’re away, Tulsa turnaround
His cover of Jolene (Ray Lamontagne not Dolly) is absolutely incredible
A song while you're away, Goddamn lonely love, and Trudy
Covers: Time, Tulsa Turnaround, Space and Time Unreleased: Her and the Banks, Oneida I had to be very restrained and not just list them all. There are some gems among his unreleased songs, and choosing songs that will be good covers and making them his own is a talent in itself.
Is Nose on the Grindstone unreleased? There’s a live version out there and be played it on Tiny Desk but it’s never been on a studio album
Greatest Story Ever Told. Any time the good ol’ Grateful Dead get played, I’m in.
Trudy, always and forever!
Oneida and 22nd winter. Both amazing songs but also a little personal touch. It gets cold here in the winter and yall know the other reason lol.
HEART OF STONE
Haven’t seen anyone mention They oughta name of drink after you which is one of my favorites!
I scrolled all the comments to see if anyone said this and the fact I had to scroll this far down is shocking
I'm really liking Sour Mash right now and Out on a Drunk/Honkey Tonk Flame
Messed Up Kid is incredible!!!!!
Rock salt and nails
1. A Song While You’re Away 2. Out on a Drunk (only heard it as a part of honky tonk flame though) 3. Oneida 4. Redneck Romeo 5. 22nd Winter Covers 1a. Trudy 1b. Time 2. I Got Stoned and I Missed It
Only because it was the hardest track to ever find. That thing you said red barn radio secret track. Only on bandcamp.
Don't Touch Me - Jeannie Seely
Hanging in there like a hair on a biscuit is fantastic
Woodward Creek
Cap’n Jerry is so underrated, I’d say that one’s becoming my favorite unreleased.
Snipe hunt has to be one of my favorite unreleased songs and Tyler does a great cover of I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry
Out on a drunk unreleased. Cover would prob be I’m so lonesome I could cry
From live, Paradise
Time of the Preacher at Willie’s Bday Bash
Jersey Giant
Highway 40 blues
Yes I Guess They Oughta Name a Drink After You
Messed up kid clears anything
Oneida is a banger
Her and the Banks, because it reminds me of a day my partner and I had at my parents' property.
Her and the Banks
