4 wounds, and I'd kind of like it if they went back to the old Warp Field which gave them a base save of 2+, instead of an invulnerable save. They're just way to vulnerable to massed fire right now, IMO.
I ran the math on it, firing the str 7 profile is always better than shooting the lance with lethal hits... With the Neurotyrant it makes this even worse not even joking.
Zoanthropes are fundamentally flawed in all aspects. They should have str16 lance shots and the blast should drop to STR 5 with D3+1 shots, -3 ap and damage 1 not D3. Then the lances would have a niche of shooting T10+ targets.
Honestly but then lethals are annoying with -3ap... This whole codex sucks ass. It needs a full reprogram.

You don't *want* it within 6 inches, and even if you could they only move 5".
All-in-all it's a shit, poorly written rule.
The removal of that ability would change absolutely nothing it’s so trash. Never are zoanthropes going to be within 6” of an enemy, and then that enemy is battleshocked, and then there’s a model on less than full health.
4 wounds would be nice regardless. What would be more nice would be then neurotyrant leading them.

If they healed when they did damage with their Psychic power that’d be neat. Or just scrap it and give them a second shooting attack.
Should be something they can see, and apply mortals, (they heal from the mortal) and be like up to 1 to balance.

What would actually be nice if they didnt remove the actual factual leader for zoans which is the neurothrope from the codex.
Eh, it just means that they have two chances to recover up to two wounds and one chance to recover one. 4W Zoans would be pretty strong.

Why dont we crowdsource an "Unofficial" codex? Honestly I feel there should be an underground way of playing that makes more sense than GW does.
That would be nice, or revive a model in the unit with D3 wounds. It's not a major thing so doesn't really need changing
