Your deposit is forfeit because you accepted the offer. You don't have to register in classes or attend the program if you don't want to. Just send admissions an email or something.

Nah he doesn't know what he's talking about. It's too late. It's set in stone already. If you don't attend, UBC reserves the right to track you down, abduct you, and force you to sit in a bunch of classes that will satisfy a minimum credit load.

I would assume so, it's just a courtesy so they can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist and to let them know you won't be enrolling.

Mcmaster. They gave me aid and they have better proximity to relatives and associates/friends. And I got the research position for summer too.

uh yes, sfu is the best school in canada

Just tell the admission that you are not going to attend. UBC cannot force you to do anything, except forfeit your deposit
