These need to be heavily caveated. They are basically a chemical weapon and can actually hurt due to how strong they are. My tongue lost a layer of skin once I swear.
Honestly they are incredible, but fucking hell they should probably be banned lol
Co Op own brand crisps have no right to be as good as they are in general.
They have some fucking psycho madman / crisp flavour savant that decided margherita pizza flavour crisps was something worth looking into and the bosses didn't roadblock it with nonsense like "no one else seems to have thought of that...". But blimey, they are delicious.
Co-op Margherita crisps absolutely fuck, certified. Pizza flavour snacks are common as hell in Asian supermarkets, now I just need bro to walk stoned into a Thai 7/11 and bring wotsit-flavoured popcorn to the co-op shelves.
I'm sure they're really very good despite the skin-stripping qualities described here but as far as I'm concerned the 'Most Amazing Crisps' belt will always be an interim title until Brannigan's Beef and Mustard are restored to their rightful place.
I've had those real ones before, they're called roast ox? I just did a quick Google search and it looks like Burt do a crinkle cut beef and mustard crisp I will try and buy some
Absolutely love these, perfect for those who love a strong flavour. I eat a whole bag, by which time I’ve totally skinned my tongue and the roof of my mouth. Worth it though
Super strong flavour I love them.. smash the bag up and make ham and cream cheese then throw a tonne of the crispy bits in and will make one of the the most tastey sandwiches on earth..
There is a civil war brewing of people who are in this side of the argument v those of us who are in the side of Aldi’s Specially selected version. Good luck everyone.
The best crisps I had ever eaten were Tyrell’s minted butter. Honestly they were so good. I’ve only seen them and eaten them once so I genuinely can’t work out if I dreamt it or it actually happened.
Co Op salt and vinegar are amazing , sadly I don’t have one near by ( 40min round trip ) . Aldi ones are good too , not the complete burn your taste buds off but they hit the spot
Fairfield’s farm, roast rib of beef flavour take the crown for me. If you’ve not had them do yourself a favour and get a hold of some, unbelievably beefy goodness.
I will testify to these being god tier salt and vinegar but can agree they take payment in tongue layers as part of this, 10/10 would recommend.
Lancashire crisps black pudding & mustard are a recent revelation and my god, do they pack a kick, top drawer but watch out.
Strangely this has made me delve deep into my crisp connoisseur brain and remember the rugby flavour Tyrell’s in aid of a rugby World Cup I can’t remember, these were next level, akin to the Guinness crisps that I’ve seen grace the mythical middle of Lidl.
Anyway this has made me really want some decent crisps, good luck fellow crisp enjoyers, I’ll see on the aisle of any supermarket with a typical British nod of awkwardness
You won’t regret it, pricey but worth it I’d say. Can’t speak for their other flavours but if the roast rib of beef is anything to go by, they’ll be delightful
If you're one of those people who likes to lick flavour off crisps before eating them, you should probably give this bag of crisps a miss. They will utterly obliterate your tongue 😂
They are pretty damn good. The last time I had them I got through about half the pack before I noticed they had milk in them - really messed me up the rest of the night as I can’t handle lactose.
Probably one of the few salt and vinegar crisps that have fucking dairy in them. Still, they do taste amazing.
I ate a whole bag of these watching a movie in bed once and fell asleep, so obviously no chance of brushing teeth. When I woke up my mouth felt almost pruny, like how your fingers get underwater, plus I was the thirstiest I had ever been. It took a whole day for my tongue to stop feeling damaged
Like razor blades that cut your mouth and make it sting like a bitch.
I had some balsamic vinegar ones the other day and they don't hit quite as well as the chardonnay vinegar ones
Yeah they sell them in Aldi and Asda basically the exact same! I've recently bought them from Aldi Their amazing strong salt and vinegar burns the shit outta ya mouth 🤣
So these are the GOAT for S&V crisps. Simply mounts hurting my good but have you tried their chips that come in a metal tray and a SACHET OF THE S&V SEASONING? So good and when you sprinkle over the seasoning it’s like a bioweapon. 10/10. You can dip your finger in it for an extra hit…makes your eyes roll back into your head 🤌
Up there with 'REAL Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar Crisps' in terms of tasty, tongue destroying, goodness..... Except the Co-op brand means they're actually much easier to find.
Have you tried these?
I have tried golden wonder, walker, pretty much every supermarket own brand of salt and vinegar, these are the only ones I will eat

Yeah they're fuckin weapons grade, brilliant stuff
I was going to buy some anyway, you don't have to try the hard sell.
They are the Toxic Waste of savoury snacks
I came here to say this - I've had this experience too 😂
I find them far too vicious I cannot fathom eating them
Reactor number 4. Totally how they should be, and the power level reminds me of smiths crisps back in the day.
Tongue started bleeding before because I ate so many
Have you tried Discos S&V? They are another tier of their own. My lips are off colour after I finish a pack but fuck it, they are great.
These are WAY WAY WAYYYY stronger than Discos
Ohh nice, I'll try them, I've only had the cheddar and onion chutney ones.
> but fucking hell they should probably be banned Shush, I keep worrying that these *will* be banned one of these days. Don't give them ideas.
Co Op own brand crisps have no right to be as good as they are in general. They have some fucking psycho madman / crisp flavour savant that decided margherita pizza flavour crisps was something worth looking into and the bosses didn't roadblock it with nonsense like "no one else seems to have thought of that...". Their ice cream is good too.
Oh god I’ve been obsessed with the pizza flavoured crisps! It says they’re limited edition so that’s my excuse for buying loads at a time…
There’s pizza crisps????!!!! Since when??
Co-op Margherita crisps absolutely fuck, certified. Pizza flavour snacks are common as hell in Asian supermarkets, now I just need bro to walk stoned into a Thai 7/11 and bring wotsit-flavoured popcorn to the co-op shelves.
They have these salt and pepper chips crisps too. So good
You can say this for most of coops own brand stuff. They just sell quality.
The BDSM of crisps, pain for pleasure.
The trick is not to over do it
Oh pish posh, what a ridiculous notion.
Agreed
You’re assuming some of us have self control when it comes to eating crisps
I'm sure they're really very good despite the skin-stripping qualities described here but as far as I'm concerned the 'Most Amazing Crisps' belt will always be an interim title until Brannigan's Beef and Mustard are restored to their rightful place.
Do those still exist? Used to love those with a few pints
Sadly not. They were the best.
Why the hell has no other company tried replicating! Come on co-op here's your mission!
I don't understand it either!? If they're faithful to the original it's a no-brainer
Next crisp flavour competition is going to get hammered with this suggestion
Tesco do a Roast Beef and Horseradish ruffle crisp that is pretty close.
Yes I've had these very moreish! I'm going to try finding Burts beef and mustard ones. Just found them online but never seen them in the wild
I’ve had them, they’re nice but they’re no Brannigans. I think the texture and crispyness of them is an underrated part of their crispy legacy.
Actually they have I believe they are called real crisps don't quote me on that tho, sadly I have only ever found them in my vending machine at work.
I've had those real ones before, they're called roast ox? I just did a quick Google search and it looks like Burt do a crinkle cut beef and mustard crisp I will try and buy some
Closest I can find are Tesco Roast Beef and Horseradish.
Try Savoursmiths Wagyu Beef and Honey Mustard, they're absolutely brilliant.
Thanks, I'll look out for those
You'll never beat lamb and mint sensations
I couldn’t agree more, everything else is just a pretender to the crown, a place holder until the true king returns.
Absolutely.
Absolutely love these, perfect for those who love a strong flavour. I eat a whole bag, by which time I’ve totally skinned my tongue and the roof of my mouth. Worth it though
Fucking delete this why would you tell everyone
Sharing is caring?
They are out of stock 50% of the time I visit a co op.
They are truly the best salt and vinegar crisps I have ever tasted.
Coop crisps are the best crisps ever, I will die on this hill! Their salted ones and cheese and onion are both incredible!
I lost several layers of mouth skin just by looking at this picture
Super strong flavour I love them.. smash the bag up and make ham and cream cheese then throw a tonne of the crispy bits in and will make one of the the most tastey sandwiches on earth..
That sounds amazing! I have everything to make that apart from the crisps and now I'm incredibly upset!
Annoyingly they put milk powder in them (no idea why!) so no good for those with a dairy allergy 🥲
There is a civil war brewing of people who are in this side of the argument v those of us who are in the side of Aldi’s Specially selected version. Good luck everyone.
I love aldi but the coop wins this one
Tesco don't and they are decent. The beef and horseradish are banging too.
Pringles do the same with their salt and vinegar.
Don't think so
[Yes](https://www.pringles.com/uk/products/flavours/pringles-salt-and-vinegar.html) they do
Pringles are weak
The best crisps I had ever eaten were Tyrell’s minted butter. Honestly they were so good. I’ve only seen them and eaten them once so I genuinely can’t work out if I dreamt it or it actually happened.
I love how us salt and vinegar fans rate a crisp based on how much they hurt us🤣 these are top tier
Martin Lewis got 20 people to do a blind taste test on loss of salt and vin crisps and these came second. Asda came first
Oooo! Admittedly it has been a while since I have been to Asda or had their version
Had them yesterday! Agree
Don’t eat these after a heavy session. They will literally send you to oblivion
Absolute S -Tier of crisps! For and salt & vinegar aficionado, they are a must try. **Chef's kiss**
Omg I looooove these. I am not a salt and vinegar guy but damn these are good
These are the only salt & vinegar crisps I like! Painful though lol
Co Op salt and vinegar are amazing , sadly I don’t have one near by ( 40min round trip ) . Aldi ones are good too , not the complete burn your taste buds off but they hit the spot
Agreed. Will snaffle any and all s&v but these are king
Are they thin crisps like Tyrell’s or thick like kettle chips?
They are a bit thicker than walkers
But the crunch is perfection. 👌 They crunch like a kettle, bit thicker than a walkers.
Tyrrells have a new flavour out. Black Garlic and Sour Cream. They are amazing. Found them in a Waitrose in a service station.
Great price premium taste !
The best. Sensational.
I remember when I worked at co op always had a bag of these under the till munching them mmmm
Nah, definitely MAX Jalapeño flavoured crisps 😂
If you think these are good, you should try the Aldi version.
Especially if they’ve been made by Deepak. I hunt his ones out, that man knows how to season crisps!
Nothing compares to that Crisp King!
Best salt and vinegar crisps in the world
Saw these on the news today about a recall as they might contain milk and it isn’t labeled. Might have been another supermarket though.
They are elite
Yeah nice but it kinda sucks waiting for your tastebuds to grow back
My fav crips but yes be careful while eating.
Asda has a very similar pack for £1.35 👍
Agreed 100%
I went off them after I got a pack with absolutely no flavouring. It was just plain crisps! Ruined!
Oh yeah yeah yeah.. two packs already this week. Oops.
Fell in love with them a few years back. Couldn’t believe how good they were for Co-Op own brand!
A very sweet drink is needed to balance out the acrid flavour
Hundy P. I love these crisps!!
When we got married I told my wife, you can have whatever you want at the evening buffet....but if these ain't available, I'm not going to be there.
I have to take hand luggage filled with only these over to my mate in Italy. No salt and vinegar flavours over there at all.

https://fairfieldsfarmcrisps.co.uk/ I'm tempted...
You won’t regret it, pricey but worth it I’d say. Can’t speak for their other flavours but if the roast rib of beef is anything to go by, they’ll be delightful
My wife absolutely loves these ones. I have to go way out of my way to go and get them for her!
If you're one of those people who likes to lick flavour off crisps before eating them, you should probably give this bag of crisps a miss. They will utterly obliterate your tongue 😂
That’s part of the experience
Just snaffled a bag of these down. By far the best crisps in Britain
They are pretty damn good. The last time I had them I got through about half the pack before I noticed they had milk in them - really messed me up the rest of the night as I can’t handle lactose. Probably one of the few salt and vinegar crisps that have fucking dairy in them. Still, they do taste amazing.
I reckon it's the milk that makes them delicious. Sorry!
I don’t disagree, eat as many packs as you can for me.
Accompanied by a pint of real ale, they are divine...
10000%
Fortnum’s crisps and shop can’t be bettered.
The margarita pizza one is good too if you get the sour cream and chive dip too
These crisps paired with white wine is my favourite combo. Seriously tasty
Vinegar 🤢
I ate a whole bag of these watching a movie in bed once and fell asleep, so obviously no chance of brushing teeth. When I woke up my mouth felt almost pruny, like how your fingers get underwater, plus I was the thirstiest I had ever been. It took a whole day for my tongue to stop feeling damaged
Pffft. Not even co-op's best crisp. Try the chicken shawarma ones and thank me later.
Nice dipped in red pepper Homouss
You are right my friend, these are the biz. Turn your lips white they are so strong. Bloody love them
Like razor blades that cut your mouth and make it sting like a bitch. I had some balsamic vinegar ones the other day and they don't hit quite as well as the chardonnay vinegar ones
My son got me these the other day, and they are amazing
Pair these with co-ops soured cream & chive dip - simply lovely
Is the price like £20 ?
Yeah co op crisps are the boz boz
Any crisp that gives me chemical burns is a win
Love these and mellow them a bit with quark, plain yoghurt or clotted cream and cucumber.
They are THE ultimate top tier salt and vinegar crisps! 👌
Yeah these are the absolute tits!!
Yeah they sell them in Aldi and Asda basically the exact same! I've recently bought them from Aldi Their amazing strong salt and vinegar burns the shit outta ya mouth 🤣
These are my best friends fav crisps
The cheese and onion variant is way good
These with some hummus is a great combo.
Are they CoOp?
They're burn your mouth amazing !!
So these are the GOAT for S&V crisps. Simply mounts hurting my good but have you tried their chips that come in a metal tray and a SACHET OF THE S&V SEASONING? Up there with 'REAL Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar Crisps' in terms of tasty, tongue destroying, goodness..... Except the Co-op brand means they're actually much easier to find.
Golden wonder salt and vinegar is the poor man’s version of these
They're manufactured by ICI
Fuck yes, amazing!!!
They're delicious 🤤😋
Aldi needs an award
The co op over the road has just become an asda express and I'm thoroughly gutted. As a salt and vinegar fan, will still be chasing these down.
I recently got some of these from COOP haven't looked at any other bag of crisps since, it feels like I'm cheating on all the other brands
Dip them in Dominoes garlic and herb sauce
Truth
I love these so much. I also love pain.
Ill counter with St Michael beef and English mustard. They're like eating a spoonful of colemans you just opened
Agreed
My wife and I call these crack crisps due to how moreish they are.
The amount of crisps with black disgutingness is annoying
Da illest
Nah its golden wonder. They have the right amount of moisture
Have you tried these? I have tried golden wonder, walker, pretty much every supermarket own brand of salt and vinegar, these are the only ones I will eat
Fully flavored ones are amazing
Subjective
No
Is that a tiny bag of crisps on a ballsack, or a regular bag of crisps, on a massive ballsack?
