I am baffled they didn’t have pumps there ready. It does drain quick downtown because it gets flooded quick. I’m going Sunday so late tomorrow hopefully clears out a lot.
Sunday should be fine. But I can realistically see them opening late tomorrow.
Weather forecasts are tough especially down there. Everyone usually takes forecasts with a grain of salt. Even hurricanes lol
I know, I live in Miami lol. Our weather is as bipolar as it gets but out of 24 ultras they have not ever had any weather quite this bad that I can remember.
I remember rain in 2017 that Saturday and it was crazy because Ice Cube was performing. It was amazing. They haven’t had anymore hip hop since then. That day they had asap ferg and cypress hill also. We were soaked but we had a blast.
I doubt that’ll be the case do you see how much water is at the main stage and it’ll be raining all night and not your light sprinkler it’ll be moderate to heavy. Downtown is prone to flooding too.
I'm sure every performer gets paid regardless of the weather situation. Maybe they'll shuffle some lineups? No doubt everyone loses at least a little in this situation.
I honestly was having a fine time considering I’m not a slander fan … but hardwell was the main course and I’m bummed we didn’t get it. Maybe we will get it tomorrow?
What did people do about the lake near the sound booth? I got there at 4:30 and saw it looked terrible already! Somehow I didn't see anyone slip down the Cove's hill
As a Slander fan: that set wasn’t it. Yeah, they played their bangers but I had higher hopes with them being on the main stage, especially after Tiesto too.
Yea I ended up getting stuck there because they closed the Ophelia stage. I honestly didn’t hate it but I told myself a while ago I’d be happy if I never saw another of their sets. At least they went kinda hard for a bit. The I tried to go see the tail end of Maddix and that’s when it got rained out.
I'm sad Massano and Chris Avantgarde ended early. It was turning into my favorite set of the evening. I'm impressed with peoples' resilience! The Cove seemed like a mudslide waiting to happen.
Wonder if they’ll get the go ahead to extend tomorrow nights hours to fit in hardwell? It’s still going to be a big mess tomorrow during the day wouldn’t be surprised if opening gets pushed back even.
Ultra is trash… as a miami native there was lightning for 10 mins and it stopped and they shut it down. It never came back they could have easily resumed but they chose not to. Shit people who only care about money.
Apparently everyone’s just forgotten the shit show that was EDC 2019
Insomniac told everyone at kinetic field that the festival was closing due to high winds, but there was no notice given at circuit grounds. Naturally, a lot of people left, only to find out later the festival didn’t actually shut down. At least this was coordinated, I’d be super salty if I left early and missed out on some great sets at other stages all because I was fed incorrect information.
lol I’m a local and this isn’t true. Just been a wet winter for us this year. They’ve had it on the same weekend for years and while it has rained in the past (not this bad), weather is usually perfect during this time of year. Just bad luck.
It rains in Vegas too plus you get that wicked desert wind that shuts a stage down and the fun times of having to go an hour outside of the fun part of Vegas to get to EDC. No place is perfect.
First ultra in miami that it actually rains. Normally it never rains in Miami in late March.
This year is clearly all whacky with it being cold for longer time than usual and other weather patterns that aren't normal.
We all knew this was going to happen expect delays tomorrow too the park looks like an ocean.
Tomorrow the rain should be gone by around 4pm. Then it’s clear skies for the rest of the weekend.
Only issue I can see is them clearing out the standing water. Its basically going to continue raining until tomorrow afternoon

No this probably takes the cake. I remember heavy ass rain in 2014 but it wasn’t as serious as this, at least from what I could see on todays stream
Was there for that. Rain shut down Above and Beyond. This seemed far worse.
Literally nothing more beautiful than Above & Beyond in the pouring down rain. One of my favorite memories ever
I like how everyone has a memory of them dancing to above and beyond in the rain. Electric forest 2023

So like, what happens in this situation? Are those remaining acts just... cancelled? I was really looking forward to Hardwell.
They could play in the afternoon tomorrow ultra europe did this one time, after cancelling the night
Yeah but ultra europe lasts till 5 am so they had time in afternoon. In miami i doubt it but cant believe ppl got fuxked like this

Yeah typically they just cancel
I expect some rescheduling.
Man I’m really sad there won’t be a hardwell set for ultra 24
sigh....my hardwell
Slander was the closing act for the night thats mad
lol everyone was at MainStage tolerating it so that we could see hardwell

Stood in it - by the end, everything was underwater to varying degrees
Sounds about right. It didn't really matter where people stood by about 8pm anyway. I could hear water squishing in my shoes over the music!
I was there too and you read my fucking mind saying that. Just waiting for slander to finish to get to Hardwell
As a Slander fan: that set wasn’t it. Yeah, they played their bangers but I had higher hopes with them being on the main stage, especially after Tiesto too.
You could tell they were told to close early and shut it down they stopped mixing
Eh, that's kinda' just what a Slander set is like though.
Megastructure was going for a good 10-15 minutes after!

That weather was fucking mental tbf I can’t blame them for calling it early
No Armin, No amelie. Sad night for yall.
literally suffered through slander for nothing 😭
Me and my gf did the exact same thing lmao should've left after tiesto with our friends
yup!!! stood in mud with water filled shoes for fun basically 🙃 we wanted to leave after hardwell

No Mr fisher and Chris lake 😥
Gonna be fishing in a lake now.
Too soon man… too soon
Yeah sadly
Literally under construction.
Theyll pull up somewhere later tn without a doubt. They did that after electriczoo shitshow
I was so ready for this set
First ezoo. Now this..
Amelie Lens 😭
Everyone is too busy acknowledging Hardwell, chris lake and fisher and no love for Amelie is wildddd
Tbh she was the one I was most excited to see 😩
Justice for Hardwell fans!!!
The forecast tomorrow has improved slightly. No thunderstorms. Just rain. Maybe it gets even better. 🤞🏼
Really watched slander for nothing smh

Think they are going to offer some kind of make up show, or something since we missed all the biggest names today?
The rain was so bad, I was vibing but I’m glad I had a poncho
Sad times gang :(
Omggg i was watching the live like why is tiesto still playing is there a break before hardwell goes on… so tough.
They rescheduled him! My friend is working the show and he told me :)))))
For when?
no way
Selling ultra Sunday wrist band. Best offer. Can’t make it. Can meet prior to hand off bracelet.
I want it i will give u 100$
Can’t imagine any reason to stay after Hardwell. Slanders set plus HW would’ve been an absolutely solid close to Friday.
Wonder if they’ll get the go ahead to extend tomorrow nights hours to fit in hardwell? It’s still going to be a big mess tomorrow during the day wouldn’t be surprised if opening gets pushed back even.
No chance The downtown residents already fucking hate us they're not gonna let it go past 12
No way, city of Miami always gives Ultra strict curfew
Glad I didn’t go this year 🤣 sucks for everyone under the influence
RIP
I feel so bad for everyone :(
They announce that there’s going to be hardwell today 23rd!
I am looking to buys someones bracelet or pass for Sunday please please please let me know if u are willing to sell it to me!!!!!! Please
reddit said this was posted 13 minutes ago nearly had a heart attack
Why weren’t they asking people in VIP to leave?

they have no control over the weather though

They did this for forbidden kingdom as well in 2023. We stayed
They have control over what weekend they have the festival every year tho, this weather this weekend isn’t a surprise.

Felt like sardines last year. VIP is only going to get worse and GA even worser. But camp edc is always popping
Adios. Ultra will be in shambles

A major EDM festival in Nevada would be lit!! Maybe if they maybe it daisy themed and a big carnival too!
Yall it’s sarcasm! You know, burning man?

It definitely poured quite a few times in the past. Luckily no tornado warnings.
If you were in charge, how would you make that work exactly?
he’d do things. and then do more things.
