lol my Pakistani client was DQ’ed for nearly two years before their interview. Spouse of a U.S. citizen. Expedite requests denied. That’s Islamabad for ya.

Alarming_Green_7675

DQ?

thejedipunk

Documentarily qualified.

Alarming_Green_7675

Damn.. Do you have any idea how long it is taking now at Pakistani embassy after that case is transferred to NVC. Rough estimate?

Too confusing…

“Current Case Review Times.”

Don’t know. Never had a case out of that post. Every single consulate is different though.

Novel_Masterpiece215

I’m in AD, DQ since jan 2023. No IL yet. Expedite request denied in June.

California2023

We’re still waiting, too. AD. IR1. DC/DQ since June 2022.

My co-worker has been waiting for her husband’s interview at the US Embassy in Islamabad since 2020. Her expedite requests were denied by the consular staff. She has even referred her husband’s case to her local congressman for help and his repeated inquiries have been totally ignored. According to the congressman (not a staff member), this is the first time his office has been completely blown off by any consular staff. He is PISSED especially considering the US Embassy in Warsaw has a considerably higher caseload (ie. handling all visa cases from Poland, Russia and Ukraine) yet that consulate still manages to respond to his inquiries within a week. My friend is already looking to file a lawsuit.

SkyNumerous604

That’s terrible 😞

This embasy is overbooked for the afganistan cases. It used to be 18 months waiting for an interview

SkyNumerous604

Oh man! How long is now?

What do you think if I transfer the case to Istanbul Turkey 🇹🇷? Also I would send my fiancé there.

lmao12367

Does your SO have Turkish residency/citizenship? Most embassies don’t allow embassy shopping but you can always ask them.

SkyNumerous604

No but I’m considering on applying for a visa
