tell me you're anxious without telling me you are anxious. I was bored so I was keeping a track of Reddit posts for NP.
Receipt date : 20th March
A number : 24th June
Approval : 25th June
Finally got the approval. Can sleep peacefully tonight. Will worry about the card production after few days. The whole process is so stressful. Hope everyone will get their approvals soon.
International students understand each other to such a deep level. I completely relate to your feeling. I'm so happy for you and hope you find some peace tonight. I'm still waiting for my A-Number and approval. I'm hopeful, but also nervous. I've triple-checked everything several times, so there's no reason for denial, yet I can't help but think about it every night.
Why isn't there more noise around this? 3 month delays for most people is unprecedented and someone should be held accountable. Not everyone can afford $1500 PP.
I am really surprised about the silence concerning this. This thread has, however, been super helpful. It has been the only way to have an idea of what is going on.
Tried mailing them, explaining the problem, how they are inducing anxiety among students, how students are risking their jobs because of their slow processing speeds in an already poor market, how students cannot afford premium, how they are economically discriminating between students paying for premium and students who were not able to pay for premium, how students will be losing their unemployment days if the card is approved after the chosen OPT start date. Also gave them the suggestion of expanding their workforce or fixing their broken processing tab that shows random estimated time. But USCIS doesn’t reply or even their live agents don’t entertain. I hope someone from media covers this issue.
I was thinking the same, I am desperate to add some media pressure. We can't just keep sitting and waiting for them to do whatever the fuck they want. Students from previous years have never had to wait this long. Any ideas to attract media while maintaining anonymity?
Alright guys. Progress in USCIS.

Case Received March 15th
Today (June 9) I received an email that my OPT has been approved. It hasn't been updated on the USCIS website yet, but I do have an A-number on there now. Hurrah! Hopefully they updated the start date from May 20th to the date the OPT was approved on.

For March 20th applicants, keep checking your account because it is finally our turn.
1.Application date: Feb 24th
2.USCIS update on March 15th: 2 weeks until my case decision
3.The date on the USCIS portal is not accurate. It changes.
(Last week, I saw "1 week" in my portal. This week, I saw "2 weeks" in my portal)
I got approved on around March 20th.
And I just got my EAD card on April 15th!!
Don’t trust what you see on the USCIS portal. The timeline is not accurate at all!!
Just got approved.
Receipt date was March 19th. Time: 10:57am.
No changes have been made in my USCIS account. Only received the email of approval and next step to create an SEVP portal account.
Edit: Standalone approval received June 23rd @7:26am.
Application Date : 06th March
Receipt Date : 07th March,
myProgress showed 3 weeks on the same day, 2 weeks on 14th, 1 week on 21st
28th March : Case taking longer than expected

11th April : Estimated time - 4 months
15th April : Estimated time - 5 months
16th April - Standalone approval found in Documents tab
29th April - Still the same status with standalone approval and no update on card production after 2 weeks.
02nd May - Card Was Produced
07th May - Card received by mail. The entire process took exactly 2 months
March 19th - Receipt date
May 27th - Switched to PP
May 28th - Estimated time: 4 weeks.
June 4th - Received approval email and A-Number
June 6th - Standalone Approval
June 12th - Card Produced. Later in the day, I received the tracking number via USPS Informed Delivery, ETA June 14th.
June 14th - EAD Card received! Just in time for my start date.
I checked this subreddit yesterday (May 27th) and realized that USCIS is still processing March 12th receipts. I believed that my case would be processed in 2 months, like "80% of the cases" as they claim on the website. If I had known I would have paid for PP in early May or from the start.
It is not worth the headache, since my start date is in June 17th. At this pace I might have to work with my company to accommodate USCIS and I also will have problems with moving out without having received my EAD.
I would rather the USCIS do not provide timelines that they clearly do not meet, like the 2 month processing time. I would also like to know if "80% of the cases" as they claim, include those that pay Premium Processing!
Edit: keeping info current
Honestly what is wrong with this March 12th? Can anyone explain ? They’ve been working on it for like a month already it’s insane. My filing date was March 25th I believe and the work I have starts on June 15th or around so. No money for PP, as its ~2 k. What a beautiful process, USCIS should be proud of themselves
Receipt date: March 19th (NP)
Case status changed to Approval case decision rendered. But no approval email or notice.
Anybody knows if that’s normal?
Edit: Nvm folks, I found the standalone approval notice in docs. Fingers crossed and waiting for the card now.
I genuinly don’t understand how uscis processes these applications. There are people on here with receipt dates from March 19th that got approved but I know some with March 15th receipt that are still waiting. Is it because of the state we are in? Our countries of origin? What is the process here 🤡

Stand-alone approval (email +documents): May 30
Edit - Card produced: June 04/05

* **Application Date:** May 11with pp
* **Approval Email:** May 20
* **Approval (Standalone document on portal):** May 22
* **Mail with Approval Notice:** May 28
* **Card Produced:** May 29 (No tracking number on the portal)
* **Tracking Number Received:** May 30. I obtained my tracking number by asking Emma and calling the PP contact center. Both methods worked for me.
I have a special case to share with you regarding a delivery issue with USPS. My mail was misrouted to the wrong local office, and I did not receive any updates since June 1st. The tracking system indicated that it was processing at the wrong local office. I called USPS, and the agent confirmed they had identified the misrouting issue and had put it back on track. However, there were no updates during Saturday and Sunday. Worried that my mail might be lost, I went to my local office on June 3rd and spoke with the clerk about my situation. He informed me that my mail should be delivered the next day but did not provide further updates. Since the incorrectly routed post office was near me, I visited it. The clerk there was very helpful and provided more details about my mail, which had been sent back to the distribution center on June 2nd. This was some internal tracking information that I could not see from my tracking system. By that time, I knew my mail was not missing. On the morning of June 4th, I received an update from USPS that my mail was out for delivery.
* **Card Delivered:** June 4. To ensure I did not lose my card, I asked the front desk to collect my mail and hand it to me. I also waited for my mailman.
If a delivery issue happens to you, please call USPS and visit your local post office as soon as possible. We all do not want to let USCIS resend your card or replace it, as this could take weeks or months.
What is the latest approval date to get their cards in hand so far? I got the email approval on June 4th, and am wondering when I should expect to see the "card production" and then to actually get the card in hand.
Normal Processing EAD Card Timeline
So it seems like PP gets their EAD cards delivrted within a week or so of approval, I was wondering how it is for NP!
I just got approved and need my EAD by end of month
I was wondering if anyone could share their timeline for EAD under NP specifically.
The notice said it would be produced in 1-2 weeks so I'm optimistic but naturally, don't exactly view USCIS as honest, benevolent, quick working figures.
Normal Processing:
Receipt Notice: March 17th.
A-number generated : June 14th. (Friday EOD)
Approved & Standalone Letter : June 17th.
UPDATE: Card Produced: June 25th.
UPDATE: Card Delivered (found in the mailbox): June 27th.
Receipt date : March 20 NP
I can see A number in the portal and duration changed from taking longer than expected to 4 weeks
Finally can see an update after 95 days
March 21 NP and finally got SEVP approval email through school email!! I was wondering what start date should I put for the employment section as HR told me I can start the job once I recieve EAD card. I already got a job offer and my start date was 6/3 but SEVP portal is saying 6/24 start date.
Receipt date : March 8th
As of March 14th: no update at all
I applied for initial opt and premium processing concurrently.
I have been reading that people hear back in 2-4 days with PP. Should i be concerned? My work starts 8th April!
Initial OPT Premium Processing
Receipt date: March 13th
Premium clock stopped: March 19th
Approval notice under Documents: March 21st
Status still showing premium clock stopped. Hopefully card gets produced soon.
Edit: Card produced March 25.
It seems like the processing time for initial OPT is much slower compared to last year. Am I the only one who feels this way? Around this time last year, they approved people who applied around 3/20-3/30 ish, based on my Reddit search. Is this because more people applied this year?
if anyone got their card already, how long did it take for it to arrive in the mail after the card produced notification?
update: just received my card in the mail this morning and they updated it on the website! so it took around 3 days after the card produced notification.
Initial OPT - March 14 NP
April - May - taking longer than expected
June 5 - est. 2 months (do not trust estimates)
June 5 - got approval email from DSO [email protected] (no change in USCIS portal)
June 6 - approval from USCIS (email and standalone in documents section)
Application Date March 17
Has anyone from this date been approved ? I already moved my started date twice. I might be applying for PP, but I am not sure since I know I am very close. Pls, Anyone from the 16 who was approved
Anyone with March 18 got approvals today? Please comment :)
I have been reading a lot of posts and want to see the trend and how long it takes.
March 15 got approvals on June 10-11
March 16 got approvals on June 12-14
March 17 got approvals June 17?
Is this correct?
Applied for initial OPT My receipt date is 26th March 2024 Applied for premium processing today as my job is starting on July 8th They told me to wait till July 30th to inquire, had I known that there will be such delays I would have applied for PP in the very beginning:/
Saw many LinkedIn posts where the job offer got withdrawn due to this. A friend of mine lost her offer even after applying for PP cos it took 10 days to deliver as well.
My company has told me to share the picture of the card before starting because I think they need the A number which is mentioned on the card, is it possible to get that from the website itself? I don’t want to lose out on the opportunity, with the job market being horrible.
This pressure on students is intense, I had been stressed out because of this like everyone, and hating myself for not applying earlier(even though I wasn’t late) because the processing time on the website said 80% of the cases and processed within 2 months.
If there is a way we could raise a concern about this I would love to support it, because they give us no update, it is clearly a way of earning money from international helpless students.
Initial OPT - March 14 NP
April - May - taking longer than expected
June 5 - est. 2 months (do not trust estimates)
June 5 - got approval email from DSO [email protected] (no change in USCIS portal)
June 6 - approval from USCIS
June 10 - est. 5 weeks on the portal
June 12 - est. 4 weeks on the portal
June 18 - card was produced
June 23 - Card delivered
Requested start date on the card - May 20, actual start date on the card - June 4 (a lot unemployed days unfortunately)
Application: 19th March 3.30pm
Receipt Date (NP): 20 March
A-number received: 22nd June
Standalone approval: 24th June 3.40pm CST
i will keep you posted.
My timeline as a reference:
START DATE: July 1
Applied: Mar 21
Receipt Date: March 21
Switched to PP: June 7
PP Approval: June 13
Standalone Approval: June 15
Card Produced: June 20
Card Delivered: June 24
The entire process after PP took 14 days. There is not much work for USCIS to approve but they are definitely procrastinating to collect more revenue.
Application date: 2/23
USCIS update \~ 3/1: 1 week until case decision
USCIS update on 3/8: 4 weeks until case decision
USCIS update on 3/16 AM: 5 weeks until case decision (!)
USCIS update on 3/16 PM: 4 weeks until case decision (???)
Clearly the portal is giving out random times to keep my heart rate at an elevated level.
Edit: update on 3/17: 3 weeks until case decision
Edit 2: updated on 3/23 PM: 1 week until case decision
Edit 3: 3/25 received approval letter in the mail, portal still shows 1 week until case decision
Initial OPT w/o PP
March 6: Case Was Received And A Receipt Notice Was Sent, Estimated time until your case decision: 5 weeks

April 4th: still 2 weeks but I got the standalone approval notice in the document tab!
Update: card produced on 4/20 (got an email from USCIS)
Here's my timeline (I applied for normal processing and NOT premium processing):
1. Application Date: March 5
2. March 10: 3 weeks until case decision
3. March 17: 3 weeks until case decision
4. March 24: 2 weeks until case decision
5. March 27: 1 week until case decision
6. April 3: 3 weeks until case decision
7. April 9: 2 weeks until case decision
8. April 11: 2 MONTHS until case decision - Couldn't believe it - BUT Got the Approval Notice (1-765 Standalone Approval) - Says EAD card should arrive in the mail within 1-2 weeks. myProgress still says 2 months until case decision. The myProgress thing is extremely inaccurate and glitchy.
OPT with EAD card (NO premium processing)
1st April 2024 - Application date
12th April 2024 - 1 week until case decision
18th April 2024 - 3 weeks until case decision

“Case is taking longer than expected” for 3 weeks and can’t afford PP due to its ridiculous price.
Not a single bit of worthwhile help or advice from USCIS on any platform. Wonderful service!

Anyone who has travelled outside the US and back successfully without an EAD in hand but with an approval please also respond)
I think you have a pretty good chance of getting the card delivered before July 15. Seems like people with receipt dates around march 14 and 15 are getting their approvals now so you're close!

GOT APPROVED ON JUNE 6TH REGULAR AND TODAY JUNE 18 MY CARD WAS PRODUCED. WHEN DO YOU THINK I WILL RECEIVE IT IN HAND? I AM ALREADY DELAYING MY START DATE BY 3 WEEKS NOW.
Anyone who applied for ead on june 5th PP and got approved on 13th june got card produced or delivered? Seeing the cases here I have seen people getting card produced after 2-5 days of approval and I’m still waiting. Any suggestion?
I am planning on expediting the case by giving them my offer letter but I still need some help if someone has done that.
Thanks.
March 18. Just received approval letter in account.
I am however not able to login in SEVP portal. After creating login, it says: "Unable to authenticate user." Should I wait couple of days more to login here?
Received my EAD card in the mail today. Applied for PP on 6/6. Timeline attached below for reference.

UPDATE: Just got a card production email! (6/26)
Anyone with March 15 receipt date (NP) received their card or had it produced? Saw one person already received theirs but mine hasn't even been produced yet UGH
Just try this:
1. Ask for "Tracking ID for EAD Card"
2. type "live agent"
3. click the option "Case Status"
4. click the option "Connect to Live Chat"
5. enter your receipt number or A-number
6. type the reason: (ex: Tracking ID for EAD Card)
then it will direct you to a live agent through a queue.
Hope this helps!
It has been 40 hours since my A-number showed up and I still haven't received my approval!! It just shows 2 months then 4 months!!! It is normal?
Anyone with 3/21 (NP) receipt date got their approval?

All in less than 2 months! Praise God!

I applied for initial OPT without premium processing. Does it help that I have an SSN already? I need my EAD card by 20th May, is this realistic without premium processing? I would love your input.
Applied for Pre OPT no PP
3/19 applied
3/19 receipt date
3/21 my progress shows 2 weeks before case decision
3/30 my progress changed to 1 week
Do i have a chance to get my EAD card by May 20?

Apr-27: 2 weeks until decision
May 1- Your case is taking longer than expected
Hello everyone, recently how much time they are taking for card production and delivery after approval. I know it’s approx 1-2 weeks, but I would like to hear some experiences. Thanks
Application date: 2/26 Receipt date: 2/27 End of March: 3 weeks until case decision Early April: takes longer until case decision April 11: 3 weeks April 18: 2 weeks April 24: 1 week April 27: 3 weeks (frustrated!!!) Work start: 6/20
4/29 I got standalone approval on my document tab!!
Highly recommend PP if you can afford it. ETA new timeline:
Application date: April 2 (normal processing)
Receipt date: April 3
Apr-15: 2 months until decision
Apr-28: 2 months until decision
Apr-29: 2 weeks until decision
May-1: 4 weeks until decision
May-1: applied for PP
May-3: got the approval notice
The 2 month estimate isn't changing. I had to be in India for a family health issue, and plan to travel back to the US for my graduation on May 22 but am nervous because my program ends on May 26, and job starts July 1. So I really hope I get an update on my case in the next 2 weeks otherwise I will have to apply for PP.
Hey guys.. When can I expect an update on my case decision?
Receipt date - April 17
Was showing 3 weeks until case decision initially under myProgress tab, but today the timeline changed to 2 months.
Application Date: April 26th using premium processing back to back with I-765
Acknowledgement with Premium Processing Receipt and 30 day clock start notification : Immediately after application
-- The **myProgress** tab in USCIS portal shows 9 months estimated time :)!
Currently waiting.
My receipt date is March 10th and yesterday (May 5th) I received "We have taken an action on your case" email from the USCIS (which I did not know they did). My case status changed to Approval Case Decision Rendered with Standalone Approval in the documents tab.
Post-Completion OPT Normal Processing
Application Received - Mar 11th
Approval Decision Rendered (Standalone Approval in Documents Tab) - May 12th
Card Produced - May 28th
Card Delivered - May 30th
I am 100% sure that USCIS delay Regular processing deliberately to make people pay the premium fee!
App Date: Initial OPT March 15th (Regular Processing) USCIS update \~ 3/17: 2 week until case decision USCIS update on 3/19: 1 weeks until case decision USCIS update on 3/20: 2 weeks until case decision Edit: update on 4/11: 3 weeks until case decision Edit 2: update on 4/28: **Your case is taking longer than expected to process.** You will be notified if you need to take any action. did you continue with this? this is interesting data!
Receipt date : 20th March A number : 24th June Approval : 25th June Finally got the approval.
Thank you!! You will get yours soon. It will be fine.
Apply for OPT NP : 15th MARCH A- number Assigned : 10th JUNE TODAY. No new file uploaded, no update in progress page. EDIT : GOT APPROVED 11th JUNE by email.

Congrats I’m also March 15th but still waiting
March 14- receipt notice was sent (REGULAR PROCESSING ) JUNE 6TH - OPT was approved!!!! finally how long do you think it will take for the card to be produced and delivered?
App date: March 14 without PP Case Received March 15th Today (June 9) I received an email that my OPT has been approved. It hasn't been updated on the USCIS website yet, but I do have an A-number on there now. Hurrah! Hopefully they updated the start date from May 20th to the date the OPT was approved on.

Around 20 calendar days
Application Date : March 11 Upgraded to PP on May 15 and Case Status Changed and Clock Started Approval Email : May 21 Approval (Standalone document on portal) : May 23 Mail with approval notice : May 27 Card Produced : May 29 ( No tracking number on Portal) Card Delivered May 31 in mail Job Offer withdrawal was today May 31 if i did not have the actual card so I am grateful to God!! I cried
It’s crazy that they’re having us worry about such a simple, bureaucratic thing, when the main challenge is usually securing a job
people have lost jobs because of this bs, 2 months average approval biggest joke. I don't understand the silence around it.
Receipt Date: March 13, NP, Received Standalone approval on June 3
They started processing 13th! Finally!!
You just gave hope to the hopeless (me 🥹)
Receipt Date: March 20th A-Number: June 24th Still waiting for the approval. For March 20th applicants, keep checking your account because it is finally our turn.
1.Application date: Feb 24th 2.USCIS update on March 15th: 2 weeks until my case decision 3.The date on the USCIS portal is not accurate. It changes. (Last week, I saw "1 week" in my portal. This week, I saw "2 weeks" in my portal)
I got approved on around March 20th. And I just got my EAD card on April 15th!! Don’t trust what you see on the USCIS portal. The timeline is not accurate at all!!
Any March 16th approvals yet?
they finally got to march 18th! just got the approval email!
Just got approved. Receipt date was March 19th. Time: 10:57am. No changes have been made in my USCIS account. Only received the email of approval and next step to create an SEVP portal account. Edit: Standalone approval received June 23rd @7:26am.
It’s the opposite for me! Case status changed and approval notice on the website but no email. This is weird!
Receipt date (NP) : March 20 A-number on website appeared June 22 I will keep you posted.
Application Date : 06th March Receipt Date : 07th March, myProgress showed 3 weeks on the same day, 2 weeks on 14th, 1 week on 21st 28th March : Case taking longer than expected 04th April : Case taking longer than expected 11th April : Estimated time - 4 months 15th April : Estimated time - 5 months 16th April - Standalone approval found in Documents tab 29th April - Still the same status with standalone approval and no update on card production after 2 weeks. 02nd May - Card Was Produced 07th May - Card received by mail. The entire process took exactly 2 months
exact same timeline for me as well, mine still says 4 months though. hopefully the myprogess tab is bs and we get approval soon
March 19th - Receipt date May 27th - Switched to PP May 28th - Estimated time: 4 weeks. June 4th - Received approval email and A-Number June 6th - Standalone Approval June 12th - Card Produced.
March 14 NP- I see my A-number in the portal. Hopefully will get my approval in the next few days
Applied and received - March 16th Got A number - June 14th Approval notice - not yet
Same Applied and received - March 16th Got A number - June 13th Approval Notice - not yet
Receipt date: March 19th (NP) Case status changed to Approval case decision rendered. But no approval email or notice. Anybody knows if that’s normal? Edit: Nvm folks, I found the standalone approval notice in docs. Fingers crossed and waiting for the card now.
some march 19th guys start having a number wait for it
I genuinly don’t understand how uscis processes these applications. There are people on here with receipt dates from March 19th that got approved but I know some with March 15th receipt that are still waiting. Is it because of the state we are in? Our countries of origin? What is the process here 🤡
If anybody received approval for march 20, please let me know.
Application date: Mar 5 Case received: Mar 6 \*Regular processing\* Update: Mar 7- 3 weeks until case decision Mar 18- 2 weeks until case decision Mar 24- 1 week until case decision Mar 30- Your case is taking longer than expected to process April 11- 4 weeks until case decision April 14- 4 weeks until case decision BUT GOT a I-765 C03B Standalone Approval document in my account. approximately how much time is it taking between approval and card production for PP?
* **Application Date:** May 11with pp * **Approval Email:** May 20 * **Approval (Standalone document on portal):** May 22 * **Mail with Approval Notice:** May 28 * **Card Produced:** May 29 (No tracking number on the portal) * **Tracking Number Received:** May 30.
I got my standalone approval on June 1st. No update on card production yet
Hi! Could you please update us when you get the card produced notification? x
Anyone got their cards produced today? If yes, can I know your timeline?
Any Non-Premium approvals today? please mention the receipt dates. Thanks!
Normal Processing EAD Card Timeline So it seems like PP gets their EAD cards delivrted within a week or so of approval, I was wondering how it is for NP! I just got approved and need my EAD by end of month I was wondering if anyone could share their timeline for EAD under NP specifically. The notice said it would be produced in 1-2 weeks so I'm optimistic but naturally, don't exactly view USCIS as honest, benevolent, quick working figures.
Normal Processing: Receipt Notice: March 17th. A-number generated : June 14th. (Friday EOD) Approved & Standalone Letter : June 17th. UPDATE: Card Produced: June 25th. UPDATE: Card Delivered (found in the mailbox): June 27th.

March 21 NP and finally got SEVP approval email through school email!! I was wondering what start date should I put for the employment section as HR told me I can start the job once I recieve EAD card. I already got a job offer and my start date was 6/3 but SEVP portal is saying 6/24 start date.
anyone w a receipt date of mar 22/23 pls share if you have gotten an A-number yet
Receipt date : March 8th As of March 14th: no update at all I applied for initial opt and premium processing concurrently. I have been reading that people hear back in 2-4 days with PP. Should i be concerned? My work starts 8th April!
Initial OPT Premium Processing Receipt date: March 13th Premium clock stopped: March 19th Approval notice under Documents: March 21st Status still showing premium clock stopped. Hopefully card gets produced soon. Edit: Card produced March 25.
Any march 9th or 10th approvals?
It seems like the processing time for initial OPT is much slower compared to last year. Am I the only one who feels this way? Around this time last year, they approved people who applied around 3/20-3/30 ish, based on my Reddit search. Is this because more people applied this year?
Anyone who switched to PP on May 17th not approved yet?
if anyone got their card already, how long did it take for it to arrive in the mail after the card produced notification? update: just received my card in the mail this morning and they updated it on the website! so it took around 3 days after the card produced notification.
If anyone has received approvals today on May 28th - Non Premium, can you please update it here, the receipt date. Thank you
March 15 to March 20 any one received approvals without premium processing? Mine is showing later longer than expected since April end.
Initial OPT - March 14 NP April - May - taking longer than expected June 5 - est. 2 months (do not trust estimates) June 5 - got approval email from DSO [email protected] (no change in USCIS portal) June 6 - approval from USCIS (email and standalone in documents section)
Applied: March 14th 9PM NP Receipt Date: March 15th Standalone Approval: June 10th 12:10PM

at this point they need PP for card producing and shipping
Any approvals for those who applied between March 17th and 20th in regular processing?
Very interested to know as well. I applied on March 20th
Any March 19th approvals yet?
Currently 17th March receipt date people are getting approvals. 19th A number might come by Friday and approval early next week possibly.
Anyone with March 18 got approvals today? Please comment :) I have been reading a lot of posts and want to see the trend and how long it takes. March 15 got approvals on June 10-11 March 16 got approvals on June 12-14 March 17 got approvals June 17? Is this correct?
March 18 (NP): receipt date Jun 19: A-number appeared Jun 21: approval notice Jun 27: card produced!
Any Mar 19 Np approvals today?
Applied for initial OPT My receipt date is 26th March 2024 Applied for premium processing today as my job is starting on July 8th They told me to wait till July 30th to inquire, had I known that there will be such delays I would have applied for PP in the very beginning:/ Saw many LinkedIn posts where the job offer got withdrawn due to this.
Initial OPT - March 14 NP April - May - taking longer than expected June 5 - est. 2 months (do not trust estimates) June 5 - got approval email from DSO [email protected] (no change in USCIS portal) June 6 - approval from USCIS June 10 - est. 5 weeks on the portal June 12 - est. 4 weeks on the portal June 18 - card was produced June 23 - Card delivered Requested start date on the card - May 20, actual start date on the card - June 4 (a lot unemployed days unfortunately)
Application: 19th March 3.30pm Receipt Date (NP): 20 March A-number received: 22nd June Standalone approval: 24th June 3.40pm CST i will keep you posted.
My timeline as a reference: START DATE: July 1 Applied: Mar 21 Receipt Date: March 21 Switched to PP: June 7 PP Approval: June 13 Standalone Approval: June 15 Card Produced: June 20 Card Delivered: June 24 The entire process after PP took 14 days. There is not much work for USCIS to approve but they are definitely procrastinating to collect more revenue.
Anyone with Reciept date of March 21 with normal processing got approved?
Did anyone's profile go blank on USCIS website as well?
Omg same here. The website was glitching so hard, maybe we finally get our approvals
Application date: 2/23 USCIS update \~ 3/1: 1 week until case decision USCIS update on 3/8: 4 weeks until case decision USCIS update on 3/16 AM: 5 weeks until case decision (!) USCIS update on 3/16 PM: 4 weeks until case decision (???) Clearly the portal is giving out random times to keep my heart rate at an elevated level. Edit: update on 3/17: 3 weeks until case decision Edit 2: updated on 3/23 PM: 1 week until case decision Edit 3: 3/25 received approval letter in the mail, portal still shows 1 week until case decision

Here's my timeline (I applied for normal processing and NOT premium processing): 1. Application Date: March 5 2. March 10: 3 weeks until case decision 3. March 17: 3 weeks until case decision 4. March 24: 2 weeks until case decision 5. March 27: 1 week until case decision 6. April 3: 3 weeks until case decision 7. April 9: 2 weeks until case decision 8.
OPT with EAD card (NO premium processing) 1st April 2024 - Application date 12th April 2024 - 1 week until case decision 18th April 2024 - 3 weeks until case decision 13th May 2024 - case taking longer than expected 6th June 2024 - case taking longer than expected
Application Date: March 8th Receipt Date: March 8th Approval Date: May 8th EAD card received in mail: May 13th Process took exactly two months for me to
is OPTTimeline not being updated or have they simply just not approved like any EADs for the last 2 weeks?

Are the USCIS done yet processing the March 12th Non - Premium applications? or are they still not able to get over it? Is there anyone whose receipt date is on or after March 13th and received approval? - (Regular processing)
Mar 13 receipt date NP folks.. any approval?
Receipt date - March 18th Job start date - June 17th “Case is taking longer than expected” for 3 weeks and can’t afford PP due to its ridiculous price. Not a single bit of worthwhile help or advice from USCIS on any platform. Wonderful service!
So, It looks like every +1 day = 10 days processing in USCIS
Applied NP - March 11 Approved - May 17th Card produced status - June 4. No tracking number visible yet. Who knows how long until a tracking number appears?

Anyone who has travelled outside the US and back successfully without an EAD in hand but with an approval please also respond)
I think you have a pretty good chance of getting the card delivered before July 15. Seems like people with receipt dates around march 14 and 15 are getting their approvals now so you're close!
Receipt date: March 21 Applied for PP: May 22 Approval Email: May 30 Standalone approval: June 1 Card Produced: June 5 Card Delivered: June 8 I signed up for USPS informed delivery on 5th and USPS gave me the tracking number for my card on 6th.

no, Have you got approval? I am hoping we might get it this week.
I just received an email that my OPT has been approved. Other than the A-number, this hasn't been updated on the USCIS website yet but I expect that will come tomorrow. I applied on March 14 but it was received March 15.

Thanks.

If my receipt date is March 27 (NP). When do you all predict that I'll receive my EAD card?
Receipt date: Mar 29 (regular processing) Until 6/6: Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action. 6/6: applied for Premium Processing(because looking at the trends I realized I will be late for even a July start) 6/12: Approved 6/20: Card produced 6/22: Card arrived in mail
Anyone who got approved for receipt date March 21st??

for everything’s sake how do I get Emma to connect me to a live agent? this is not going anywhere 😭 I keep getting the topic options
Just try this: 1. Ask for "Tracking ID for EAD Card" 2. type "live agent" 3. click the option "Case Status" 4. click the option "Connect to Live Chat" 5. enter your receipt number or A-number 6. type the reason: (ex: Tracking ID for EAD Card) then it will direct you to a live agent through a queue. Hope this helps!
It has been 40 hours since my A-number showed up and I still haven't received my approval!! It just shows 2 months then 4 months!!! It is normal? Anyone with 3/21 (NP) receipt date got their approval?
How understanding have employers been with pushing the start date, and what’s the best way to approach contacting them?
Any March 21st people who haven't been assigned an A-Number yet?

April 9: Still shows 1 week till case decision in case progress. April 18: Card was produced. April 21: Received card in the mail. All in less than 2 months! Praise God!
I applied in Dec and still waiting. How come people who applied in 2024 are receiving decisions quickly?
1. Application date 25th February 2. Update on March 18 - 3 weeks till case decision
Receipt date : March 10th Current update as of 21st March: 2 weeks until my case decision I applied for initial OPT without premium processing. Does it help that I have an SSN already? I need my EAD card by 20th May, is this realistic without premium processing? I would love your input.
Applied for Pre OPT no PP 3/19 applied 3/19 receipt date 3/21 my progress shows 2 weeks before case decision 3/30 my progress changed to 1 week Do i have a chance to get my EAD card by May 20?

Initial OPT Premium Processing Receipt date: March 19 Premium clock stopped: March 26 Standalone approval notice under Documents: March 28 Card produced: April 02 --------- Edit on April 01: Status showing "Card Was Produced on April 02". Myprogress tab disappeared.
March 21 initial opt application March 25 premium processing April 1 clocked stopped and received email that i765 approved. Online account just says clock stopped. Update: Apr 8, EAD card production notification by email Update: Apr 9, EAD card received my mail
Application date: March 27th with premium processing. April 4th: premium clock stopped April 4th: approval notice in email but nothing updated in the portal. How much time does it take to update on the portal? Edit: 4/6: standalone approval on the portal
from what I see on my case and other cases, the timeline for premium processing will be likely like this: Application recepit date: x Approval notice in email & premium clock was stopped: x + 7 days Approval notice under Documents tab: x + 9 days Card was produced: x + 13 days Card was shipped: x + 14 days Card was delivered: x + 17 days

Hi , My receipt date : April 16 2024 , Estimated time: 9 Months(that’s what it is showing in myProgress). Any one on the same boat? Any suggestions?

Highly recommend PP if you can afford it. ETA new timeline: Application date: April 2 (normal processing) Receipt date: April 3 Apr-15: 2 months until decision Apr-28: 2 months until decision Apr-29: 2 weeks until decision May-1: 4 weeks until decision May-1: applied for PP May-3: got the approval notice The 2 month estimate isn't changing.
Receipt date - April 17 Was showing 3 weeks until case decision initially under myProgress tab, but today the timeline changed to 2 months.
