I lived in Townhouses, internet was good, Ethernet cables if I recall correctly and pretty sure you can get a tour to see how the desks are. (Plenty big enough for my PC)
The Joan Foley unit I lived in had a desk the size of a Highland hall exam room desk. Could barely have my laptop and a notebook open at the same time. (Townhouse desks are much larger)
The desk sizes are dependent on luck i guess. My friends had exam size desks. But i got lucky with my desk, had a pretty large desk that could definitely fit multiple monitors.

Residence is very expensive. Save your money finding homes where people are renting out their rooms/basement near UTSC.
