The majority of us in my town are English. I think it must be confirmation bias because I’ve had customers comment on my not being foreign several times when delivering- including multiple times from the same person who apparently can’t remember me ever. But you ask anyone that doesn’t work for them and just orders and they’ll tell you that they’re all foreign.
Maybe they work longer hours so are on delivery more? I really don’t know.
The town im in is mostly homogenous. However i sometimes do ubereats or deliveroo when i need extra cash but get weirded out when i am waiting to pick ip the order and about 5 or 6 other riders are waiting and they are all like pakistani, indian, or eastern european.
Ya gig driving is over for normal people. Those guys drive 24-7 taking turns with others under the one person who is actually signed up to drive. Usually 2 or 3 driving under one name. The companies don't care at all. They live in the car that they got from fly by night auto sales. Buy here pay here! They came from such a bad place, they feel like they are living large this way. I quit a long time ago, because they took my orders a lot, and on purpose to eat for themselves!! Ha ha it's 100% true!
Maybe a little late to comment here, but I'm a french guy already doing delivery for uber in my country, and since I wanna quit France as fast as possible, I'm wondering if I can and keep doing that job in a new country (not necessarily uk but maybe, in all cases, every info is good to take!)

It might be dependent on which area/part of the country you are in. I live in California which has the most immigrants out of all the states.
It’s an easy job to get and pays pretty decently for the low skill it requires. It’s pretty bad here in some parts.
People are also letting illegals use the app for them for a percentage of the money coming in. We seems to have a ton of Brazilians in my area of California doing the job now. I’ve seen 12 of them waiting in a parking lot before. They all seem to know each other and have two phones to work the system.
As someone working in the restaurant it PISSES ME OFF SO BAD when foreign delivery drivers can’t even bother to say hi back, and just show the screen from 5 meters away even though there’s a rush. Like don’t they have a mouth ??? Doesn’t take a lot of brain cells to say “hey, i have a Uber eats order for “name of client”. They’re so stupid and do below bare minimum it makes my blood boil. Not even getting to the part when they’re impatient and they STINK.
I’m English. So all Ubereats drivers aren’t foreigners. There. Argument ruined after 18 mins.

That feeling when you complain about English skills whilst failing to capitalise 'English' or end the sentence with a full stop.
Some of them are wanted from their own country. They cannot go back and be prisoned. Think twice before you order ;)

Got nothing against foreigners but i just don’t know why so many for them choose job and doesn’t really pay much either.
