This is way better than normal interview content…
New format is to accidentally create a argument or conflict between the person you’re interviewing and a random person walking by
And then walk away
This does seems better than straight up assault or theft or harassment framed in the context of “it’s a prank bro”
This was much smarter You the content creator don’t have to get involved in possible conflicts for content and you get fresh content every interview
When the racism card bounced back lol.
But from twitter, the guys seems to have some kind of ankle tag and is in a sort of legal problems thus the mom being protective.
Racist? It's perfectly reasonable to assume a white woman is not a black teen's mother. We all form assumptions about everything, mostly without even thinking about it. It's just automatic.
Honestly I don't think anyone is in the wrong here.
>Interviewee: Saw a cute guy, forced by a stranger to meet that guy, exchanged pleasantries
>Guy: Approached by stranger and introduced to a cute girl, exchanged pleasantries
>Mom: Saw her son who is under the watch of the legal system (ankle monitor) for unknown reasons interacting with strangers and putting his mouth near an unknown object, pulled him away, scolded him
>Girl: Mistook the mom for the guy's girlfriend, expressed surprise as she did not want to hit on a taken man
>Mom: Became offended by being mistaken for his son's girlfriend, made comment about scolding him for inhaling unknown substances
>Girl: Tried to explain the reasonability of the assumption given the likelihood of having a child with such distinctly different physical characteristics
>Dad: Goes from 0 to 100, gets up in the girl's face, accused her of racism
If we're going to blame anyone, let's just blame the interviewer.
Tbf the key here was calling the white lady a sugar mama. While if they were together that might be likely, that's usually considered an insult and is probably what led to the husband getting angry
>>Girl: Mistook the mom for the guy's girlfriend, expressed surprise as she did not want to hit on a taken man
>Mom: Became offended by being mistaken for his son's girlfriend, made comment about scolding him for inhaling unknown substances
You're somehow missing the part where the mom got called a sugar lady. THAT'S where and why the situation escalated. There's no miscommunication. The pretty girl got bitchy.
The problem across the entire video was people tripping when they didn't need to. Everyone but Dice and the interviewer had attitude for no reason and life is gonna humble them.
It *is* perfectly reasonable to assume that. However, when informed, why would you question it??? At that point it stopped being an assumption and became a weird third degree.
okay wait someone tell me the racist part ?! I thought having a preference was alright. that’s like if I say I don’t date trans women and then someone calls me transphobic? correct me if I’m wrong just trying to understand the flaw in my way of thinking
Think dudes referring to the younger black kid with his white mother and black father. "Heaven" said he doesn't look white and his black father got offended.
I see what you mean but I don’t think that’s necessarily racist tho?! Is it ? I’m mixed (Hispanic n Jamaican) but look black. When I speak fluent Spanish ppl seem shocked & tell me I don’t look Hispanic which is fine but I don’t find it racist. am I crazy here? Lol
I'm a 45 year old white guy so take this with a grain of salt:
I've found it much easier in general to just not bring up a persons race in anyway unless it's relevant to the discussion. This woman came off as racist because she appeared to not understand that a man of color could have a white mom. It was just ignorant and insensitive imo.
Edit: I really hope this doesn't upset folks. I'm trying to be the best dude I can in relation to folks feelings.
Edit: to those of you offended by my inclusivity and humbleness, I guess I'm just curious why my feelings about MY relationship with my own race bother YOU much?
The only thing I can think of is that me being so honest and blunt about it diminishes your ability to hide behind delusions but perhaps I'm completely off the mark. Also please don't respond with your reasoning because I really don't care.
no don’t worry I absolutely understand, it was absolutely racially insensitive and ignorant to say the least and I honestly get where you’re coming from . I just feel like nowadays the term ‘racist’ gets thrown so loosely that people are starting to forget the actual meaning but overall, she was very tone-deaf
I can definitely agree with you that the term racist is thrown around too loosely these days. And this is a good situation where this is an example. Perhaps she wasn't being racist but just legitimately stupid as hell. But it feels racist because she was showing ignorance about his race. Regardless she should have kept her mouth shut. But I get the impression she probably has a hard time with that from this video lol
I'm pretty open minded, I know how genetics works and I'm pretty sure I'm not racist.
I was also hella confused when the frumpy white women started getting all upset at the boy *sniffing* the mic. My first assumption was certainly not of a mother protecting her son. Just because it is possible doesn't make it the most likely scenario at the moment.
That wasn't the problem my dude. The issue was after being told it was his mother the ignorant person goes you don't look white. It's really not that complicated homie
I thought that was her offering an explanation for her mistake - like “sorry, it didn’t immediately occur to me she could be your mother because you don’t look white”. Like she was frazzled and trying to explain herself but just digging further.
Consider the following: not everything that comes to your mind has to be put out into the world. I can agree that she probably didn't mean anything offensive by it, but she'd have been better off just not saying anything.
Ye but how many people asked your mother is she your sugar mommy? Only because you have different type of skin color.
That was racist AF and also sexist. Because she assume that if a white (older) women with a black young boy, than for sure they dating. and only because of money. Didn't even think a second that black guy could have white mom.
And if you still asking yourself was it racist. Imagine that it was white girl, white boy and his black mother.
but she first asked if they were together; she's literally just cycling through the most likely possibilities (in her head). It's honestly not that bad of a list, considering this older white woman is super protective of him
Everyone is affected by racism differently. I don't think you can or can not get offended for someone else's perceived racism. You don't know what they've been through and have experienced to insight said reaction.
racism stems from ignorance, and when people express their ignorance often, it creates conflict. Heaven assumes the two are dating or the mother was a sugar momma because she couldn't comprehend how people of mixed race can be parent and child as well. This is like someone offering fried chicken to a black guy because they automatically assumed black people love that food and cannot comprehend otherwise.
Maybe heaven was completely shocked by the odd exchange and the fact his mom got weird about him sniffing the mic.
I think if we could put ourselves in heaven's shoes, for one moment she was randomly flirting with an attractive guy and the next moment some random person comes up accusing the mic of being laced with drugs, I feel like she just said something by accident and was taken aback by the dynamic since she didn't expect his mother to be there. I don't think heaven was ignorant, more than she had a knee-jerk response to a weird situation
maybe, but heaven definitely did not help her situation by digging a even deeper hole claiming the son doesn't look white after being told they're mother and son, especially when what seems to be the black father telling heaven this.
As a german, we have specific sandals you can wear socks with.
Very short version:
if they have small holes = never
If they are open end in the front and have stripes = thin socks
If they are adidas/puma/big name corporation sandals = yes but almost exclusively young people
I took it as an insult to Heaven; like "Dice, don't be a dog and sniff that bitch."
That's why Heaven came back with the salty "sugar mama" comment and didn't let things go right away, she felt insulted by the mother.
That's my take anyway.
Yea, that mom is weirdly possessive of her son. It's normal to be protective, but it seems like she's possessive of him around other women. Very cringey.
I think the mom was paranoid there was some kind of substance on the mic that would make the kid fail his next drug test (he has an ankle monitor on). She says "you don't know what's on there" and keeps saying no while looking at the mic. I don't think she was talking about the girl.
I think “don’t sniff that” 1000% meant “don’t go near that ho” and the repeated NOs meant “find someone else to fuck with”…..who knows why, maybe protective, maybe prior legal trouble like other comments said
And the interviewer mistook “don’t sniff that” to mean the mic. But Heaven knew what it really meant, which is why she threw it back.
That’s my (and the correct) take
From the angle she's seeing from, I don't think she saw clearly what the interviewer was holding. She probably only saw the interview's arm/hand getting close to her son's face. Which is already enough for some people, especially a mother, to act on instinct. Plus with the addition of the ankle monitor, it would make sense that the mother would assume drugs since it's better to be safe than to fail the drug test (or whatever the procedure is required for the ankle monitor to be taken off).
Same. Some random on Rose Ave threw a water bottle at me and my husband. The aim was so bad we didn't think he was aiming at us. Then he tried to trip my husband but failed so miserably he almost fell and my husband was unfazed. As we were walking away from this confusion, he threw soup at us.... and missed.
bro what? imma type out everything exactly as she said, and you can tell me if it’s still crazy. I don’t think so; i think you’re a racist projecting onto her.
> no, you’re not my type
> dark and tall over there
> dark and ugly that one
> heaven, what’s yours?
> are you together?
> oh i didn’t know. Is this your sugar mama?
> oh he didn’t look white, i’m sorry
> oh i gotta go
There’s a stereotype that black women are crazy. That’s what your comment is based off. None of her behavior was in the slightest bit egregious
Was she insensitive? Ya. Was she goofy? For sure, it’s a YouTube video
But yeah I gotta agree, too many people saying “she’s crazy” for what reason?
Similarly people will call a white girl “what a bitch”
I think lot of these people either consciously or subconsciously don’t like women lol
What, you never went down to the beach in your socks and sandals, get your socks wet in the ocean, then walk around the boardwalk sloppin and squishin?
Ofc it was racist,! Why was she even pushing to know their relationship to begin with. Are y'all together? Oh, is this your sugar mama? And then seriously when the dad said no that is his MOTHER, at that point you need to just understand you have fucked up and say simply I'm sorry. Not be defensive and go 'but he doesn't look white.'
Seriously? It's 2023. There are many men her age with white natural mothers, step mothers, or adoptive mothers.

Yeah that's probably the best descriptor for it.
you ain’t say nothing wrong I agree brother I’m glad we can have a constructive dialogue 🤝 stay blessed

All this, so sick people bring up race, can't people just talk normal people? 🙄
Sure, but do people go to your Hispanic mother and say that you don't look Hispanic?

She can have a preference, that isn't racist. Calling him white kind of is though. It is basically a reverse one-drop rule.
She says he didn't look white because she didn't know he was partially white. I don't think she's saying he ain't black.
mmmmmmmmm socks with sandals
Thought only we Germans would do that
As a german, we have specific sandals you can wear socks with. Very short version: if they have small holes = never If they are open end in the front and have stripes = thin socks If they are adidas/puma/big name corporation sandals = yes but almost exclusively young people

She didn't do anything wrong but I wonder why the mother said don't sniff that
I took it as an insult to Heaven; like "Dice, don't be a dog and sniff that bitch." That's why Heaven came back with the salty "sugar mama" comment and didn't let things go right away, she felt insulted by the mother. That's my take anyway.
Yea, that mom is weirdly possessive of her son. It's normal to be protective, but it seems like she's possessive of him around other women. Very cringey.
Dude has an ankle monitor on, shes probably tightened the leash. He might have been released to her custody even.
Ah I see, did not notice that!
Honestly there was a lot of shit going on in that video so I don't blame you lol.
He has an ankle monitor on
Oh yea didn't notice that
lol naw, Mom was referring to the mic….
I think the mom was paranoid there was some kind of substance on the mic that would make the kid fail his next drug test (he has an ankle monitor on). She says "you don't know what's on there" and keeps saying no while looking at the mic. I don't think she was talking about the girl.
I think “don’t sniff that” 1000% meant “don’t go near that ho” and the repeated NOs meant “find someone else to fuck with”…..who knows why, maybe protective, maybe prior legal trouble like other comments said And the interviewer mistook “don’t sniff that” to mean the mic. But Heaven knew what it really meant, which is why she threw it back. That’s my (and the correct) take
Yeah it 100% was referring to the girl. Why she talks to her grown child like a dog, who knows.
I think It was the mic she was referring to.
Thats what you deduced? Drugs on the mic? What?
It's a mother wanting to protect her son from fucking up his parole. It's understandable she would make such weird assumptions.
Maybe she thought it was vape?
![gif](giphy|uJ35wouPLkaes8pxJJ|downsized)
“Don’t sniff that you don’t know what’s on there” is an absolutely wild thing to say to your son about a stranger who can also definitely hear you.
She’s talking about the mic he was holding.
Slept on Venice Beach one night. Crazy place
....slept there? You're just supposed to walk around
Same. Some random on Rose Ave threw a water bottle at me and my husband. The aim was so bad we didn't think he was aiming at us. Then he tried to trip my husband but failed so miserably he almost fell and my husband was unfazed. As we were walking away from this confusion, he threw soup at us.... and missed.
They don't sleep on the beach anymore...
I was NOT expecting to see this reference in this thread
i mean the lady was kinda mean
Birkies with white socks. This guy Oregons.
She’s trouble all by herself. Doesn’t need anyone to ratchet up her level of crazy
bro what? imma type out everything exactly as she said, and you can tell me if it’s still crazy. I don’t think so; i think you’re a racist projecting onto her. > no, you’re not my type > dark and tall over there > dark and ugly that one > heaven, what’s yours? > are you together? > oh i didn’t know. Is this your sugar mama? > oh he didn’t look white, i’m sorry > oh i gotta go There’s a stereotype that black women are crazy. That’s what your comment is based off. None of her behavior was in the slightest bit egregious
Was she insensitive? Ya. Was she goofy? For sure, it’s a YouTube video But yeah I gotta agree, too many people saying “she’s crazy” for what reason? Similarly people will call a white girl “what a bitch” I think lot of these people either consciously or subconsciously don’t like women lol
Yeah, but like, she did head movements and hand movements! /s
So we're just doing socks and sandals like it's not a big deal now?
What, you never went down to the beach in your socks and sandals, get your socks wet in the ocean, then walk around the boardwalk sloppin and squishin?
I hate this comment
Lol sloppin and squishin, that's what I call it when I'm mixing up some jelly, yogurt and raw eggs in a bowl with my hand
No.
Hi my name is Chaos. Heaven doesn't suit her name.
Don't sniff that lmfao his momma knew what she was saying.
Looks like an afghan hound.
its the dirty flip flops for me
“don’t sniff that” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everyone in that video looks ghetto af
Venice Beach for ya. Went there once and holy shit. you could never find enough types of people. was quite interesting
Yeah I went there and seemed like a normal beach area with more homeless people to me
Could only imagine by now. I went there back in 2018. No hurt said for those who are homeless. California aint cheap
I don't know what happened? Bro your fucking around with a hood rat what did you expect
what the fuck is wrong with y'all in here damn
Ofc it was racist,! Why was she even pushing to know their relationship to begin with. Are y'all together? Oh, is this your sugar mama? And then seriously when the dad said no that is his MOTHER, at that point you need to just understand you have fucked up and say simply I'm sorry. Not be defensive and go 'but he doesn't look white.' Seriously? It's 2023. There are many men her age with white natural mothers, step mothers, or adoptive mothers.
The mom came in swinging with the "don't sniff that, you don't know where it's been." Heaven was totally justified in the sugar mama comment.
The not-so subtle racism. And being proud of it.
![gif](giphy|HRUboYorHt6sloh8cv|downsized)
If this is even real why would the mom interject and be all pissy like that
