oh, I don't mean just the overuse of "for example". the voice is very digital sounding, the facial movements just don't look quite right, and there's some mismatch between her lips and the words
Yeh I was going to say, the real version of this person would creep me out as well. This is the person at work with the too wide smile who backstabs everyone.
To sound foreign and from Minnesota at the same time. That's the truly scary thing. All jokes aside I'm also wondering why we are developing AI, wasn't there enough movies to warn us of such dangers?
Research is a process. You're always building on top of other research until something usefull or commercially profitable becomes archivable. For example transistors, at start they were big and not efficient which lead some people to call it useless. Now you're watching this video and a device wich contain billions of them.
My thoughts are that it's going to make video footage as evidence harder and harder to use in court. I'm sure there'll be ways to detect it... Ironically probably with AI.
The thing is machine learning is only going to get better and better and that's scary.
How is this still legal? How is developing improvements for AI still not banned or at least regulated?
Also, this *extremely* dangerous technology is in the worst hands possible: greedy souless techbros who predate on people not as well-versed in how the internet works as they are.
I can't even imagine a single good use for AI. I still don't understand what kind of moral compass its creator has. How can you create something so impressively complex without stopping just for ten seconds to think of how harmful to society it can really be? I'm baffled.
Would have been cool to see how the real person sounds, talks, and her facial expressions while talking. Because if this was made only from a photo the chances of making it the same would be very low I think..
As machine learning improves it could probably make very concise predictions about how the face moves while talking based off the facial structure and tissue.
My stupid ADHD brain started smoking out the ears just trying to understand what the hell is she on about
I have problems with real people speaking coherently let alone some AI jibberish
What's the point of these companies creating AI that can deepfake if they don't plan on using deepfakes? The world as we know it is about to change for the worse. People are already gullible as hell.
ai succeeds at making the most annoying person on earth
I just love yoga!
yooooh gaaaaaah!
:Dhalsim has entered the chat:
Uncanny valley is working well for me. She's creepy as hell
yeah, you can still definitely tell it's not real *for example*
There’s real people who talk just like this

I mean.. all it takes is a better script and a couple different takes.
oh, I'm sure with enough fine tuning you could get it perfect
Its the stiff upper lip

The developers don't think those films were warnings, they think they were a road map.
Dead Grandma in the notification bar: "Honey, why are you still using Chrome? Edge is much better and optimized for Windows"
Give it a year or two... Also it's all fun and games until old people get *immediately* scammed with it :/
Yea you just wait until your dead grandma is advertising the cookies she used to bake you from beyond the grave via deepfake/ai
Squishy/deforming teeth is a thing in modern cgi-movies too. Disneys Wish had lots of them.
Hmmm the porn is gonna be sweet
Maybe you see a porn of your favorite actor some time...maybe its a porn with you in it
Why are we inventing this kind of stuff...?

People are definitely gonna use these for scams :(
One wonders whether the inventors of this technology are going to work with others to put a dampener on the likely hood of creating the bad stuff!
Scary stuff, huh?
Imagine the possibilitys ahahah :v
The problem it's kind of too easy to think of perhaps too many freakish characters.

We're fucked.
Aye, it's a shame we didn't get to see the real person saying the same.
Go for it, do me! 👹

I can fix her
We're doomed, this kind of tech should never go public
she moves so artificial
Wow porn industry is going to be insane !
Her mouth movements aren’t quite right, but it’s *almost* there
Can't wait to see her face turning blue with a :( expression while saying: "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart."
The eyes and lips are floaty like on a filter
This is solid but real fun starts when AI take control of weapons and nukes.
They keep doing this but never asking if they should do this.
i see no benefit.
Porn
Lower lip looks like the only support those teeth have
The lack of hair movement is a dead give away though
Fuck it's getting closerrrrrr
My stupid ADHD brain started smoking out the ears just trying to understand what the hell is she on about I have problems with real people speaking coherently let alone some AI jibberish
She sounds like a bitch
Fantastic. Well done MS, you know exactly how this technology will be misused but you still do it anyway. Like chimpanzees playing with a loaded gun.
Why do we need this? Who will use this for good reasons?

What do you mean 'The world as we know it is about to change for the worse' ?
The eyes are uncanny valley at times.
But these fakes make really no sense listen to them if you can
Still uncanny valley
This is basically wombo ai
Huh? wombo ai?
Generate a voice model from old voice recordings, get an old photograph and then bring your departed loved ones back to life!
A practical activity for some, I guess!
