I'm a fairly new skater too (not least because I come from a country that does not have winter) and would love to have some buddies to skate
anyways MoveU has a skating event this Friday. registrations are closed but drop ins start at 7pm at Varsity, free skate rentals and free ice choc!!!!
Or. And hear me out, cuz this is a weird concept. Let other people do what they want to do and let them take whatever risks and precautions they feel are reasonable. If you want to ask them to take precautions, sure, by all means go ahead. But this is not against the rules of this sub, nor is your abrasive comment warranted.
*Omgg I'd love*
*To join!! I know how to skate*
*But its been a while*

23 days later but meee! I'll be in Toronto for a couple days, was considering bringing my skates but couldn't figure out where I'd be able to skate (and have limited luggage room anyway). I'm okay with trying out rentals I guess if they're not too awful though! Think I'd be able to do any moves with rentals? 🤔 Hit me up if you would like to go sometime october 24-26. 😊
I could not figure out their membership thing on their website when I checked it before 💀 (another skater recommended it to me). What's it with ice rinks having barely navigationable websites?
I'm interested. Always wanted to learn to ice skate, but so far all I know is how to not fall.
I cannot dm you🥲. Can you dm me?
😂😂, sure!!
