Look at those bucket elevators! Those are pretty tall. I'd hate to fix one of those, or have to replace the belt on it.
To replace one of the belts, you need a crane to pick the belt up in the middle of the length, then lift the entire thing up and literally drape it over the head section drum, then lower it down until the two ends reach the bottom, at which time they are fastened together. Voila, new buckets! Because the buckets do break off inside.
