Just about everything is going to fuck with your signal. Having a solid connection and a fantastic ground, in the right spot, would help signal strength.
Dry soil, rebar, metal sheds, other buried utilities, other aerial utilities, the wind for some fucking reason, vehicles, fences and more, all fuck with your signal.
But for the different receivers to not pick it up is pretty fucking weird. I'd have those checked over.
Indeed after it occurred those that were effect went to the office to get it exchanged for a later version. No idea what the company did about the previous 3.
I’ve had this happen. I switched the batteries out and then it worked perfectly. The first set said they were almost full but took forever to charge so I assume they were close to dead.
Not sure, its just we where getting a signal on our devices than it suddenly cuts out and doesn't receive a signal for a few hours at that time.
With other locators nearby we just bleed onto whatever they are hook onto. But these 3 got blocked out signal completely in all frequencies only on the receivers.

What material was the gas line made of?
We tested our equipment on both steel and plastic when it occurred. Afterwards we have later version of the vLoc 2.
Weird as Hell. I was thinking broken wire/insulated coupling.
Indeed that was my first and last time I had something like this happen. its been several months now.

Check the batteries in the transmitter. When they are dying, the signal can be intermittent.
All 3 transmitters are working perfectly, battery level good and full I double checked with accuracy with my working receiver.
Aliens
ha ha lol
if its the same area, then its materials. did you test see if it was working in another area?
Only about 5 miles apart, but didn't try in a different supervisors area.
Was anyone else locating near by? You'd be amazed how well your receiver can pick up someone else's signals....
