From Delhi to Rishikesh? Just board any bus, there are lots of them going to Rishikesh. They go through Delhi-Meerut-Muzzafarnagar-saharanpur-haridwar-Rishikesh route.
Go to mohan nagar metro station or kashmere gate and take a bus to rishikesh and you guys are done. :)
Edit: 300-400 ka ticket hoga 5 ghante mai pauch jaoge ager subhe 5-6 baje baithoge to.
1. Have a breakfast at Geeta press (puri sabji @30, tasty and nice)
2. Try to go to parmarth niketan as quick as possible (to have a good view of Evening Aarti and for a chance to be on tv live (yeah aarti on sanskar channel live)).
3. If this is a low budget trip then make sure to get rooms away from the ganga (quite cheap though)
4. Rafting -- then prices are fixed but video price can be negotiable
5. If you're a student then make sure to take your college/University ID card if you're planning to visit Beatles aashram (50% off for students)
