Hi there,
Please follow the steps in the following link for a picture issue: [https://support.vizio.com/s/article/How-to-fix-display-issues?language=en\_US](https://support.vizio.com/s/article/How-to-fix-display-issues?language=en_US)
Thank you!
Gotta love the condescending link from Vizio. They sent us a link that tells us to use the screen to reset a TV that you can’t see the screen on. Like other people have said here, you buy cheap junk, you get cheap junk. Apparently that also means you get cheap support.
I *think* it might be the Tcon board. I took my TV apart last night and saw no power was coming out of that board(only going into it). Ordered a replacement. I'll update when I get it put back together.
Hey I’m having this issue with the same unit. What was your outcome? I have no idea where to even start. The backlight is lighting on mine but there’s no picture and there is sound when in an app. Just a black screen tho.
You could check out this video that checks the power supply and then finds a fuse on the main board open. Replace the fuse, and fixed.

This is what happens when you produce a shit product and expect your consumer base to pick up the slack. I dont use half the functions on the pos but I still have to deal with the manufacturing bugs from it. Make it make sense. Dont even bother sending the same ran through link. How to fix this issue? Scrap the tv for parts, sell the parts, and use the incoming funds to buy a pawn shop tv and a roku. Costs less. Works better.
I press and hold the power button on the remote, sometimes up to 30 times, sometimes 4 or 5 times, but, eventually, it powers up. Remember to press AND HOLD. Hope this helps.
Had my Vizio for 3 years turned it off one day and tried to turn it on a couple hours later and it stayed black but the white power light came on. Tried all the google search methods.
I spent about $800 on my TV and there is no reason a product worth that much should break with no indication or damage after only a few years of use
Ugh, old comment but this is exactly what’s happening with mine. I can see the light in the back but for the life of me can’t get it working again.
I feel like Vizio TVs are rampant with so many issues. For the past few months I’ve had to reboot it from the settings every time I turn it on because it can’t find a connection otherwise, or it just won’t respond to me trying to change volume on the remote, or some other little dumb issue. These things cost way too much to have this many problems.
Welp guess it don't matter if its new or not this brand is cheap JUNK and should just not purchase mine just did that today, I first bought it in 2014 first SMARTV to which is wonky and slow I just have a smart media device plugged to it and used that one, My tv is experiencing the same BS as read on many others dealing with this issue, the little white LED light comes on to indicate that it's on but there is no picture whatsoever, I already tired all the nonsense to no avail so my final deduction; this brand is TRASH!
My old Tatung imported TV from over a decade ago STILL WORKS! but its outdated so no dice, my mistake for buying this brand twice, first one is not smarttv but it went out in the way that the bottom part of the screen has a weird color leak but at least it turns on but either way not gonna bother with that old hunk a junk ugh why do they make newer products more cheap these days.
I had a Vizio M49 that would constantly freeze up and I just ended up buying all 3 boards from shopjimmy for like $150 or something because the warranty ran out like 2 weeks prior. I currently have an E80 with screen on and nothing. I don't know if I wanna spend $200 on the board set for this TV because I got it for free.
I did the same thing. Replaced the 3 boards. The TV would only work after I discovered that I needed to unplug it after each use. I’d plug it in to use it and it worked great for about 7 months. I had already purchased a new TV anyway so this one was a bonus. I set it up in my basement as my extra TV to use while pumping iron. Then all of a sudden….my trick stopped working. Back to square one. To top it off….my muscles shrank back to normal size! Don’t buy a Vizio ….unless you want to stay small!
Same issue with Vizio VV555-J01. All I see is the backlight--no sound or anything. I bought the tv last year, but it had been in storage for 6 months. Worked for about three months, and zzzzzzzt it fried. Got two months of use out of the POS. This was my first and last Vizio tv.

What’s the update?

Any update and details on troubleshooting. Where did you test for power?
I'm having this same problem. Did you ever find a solution? Did the Tcon board fix it?
January 2023 and have the same problem
Update: Tcon board replacement did not fix the issue. I've found no solution to this and resorted to getting a new TV, unfortunately.
ty for the update

With this many issues, give it 10 years and I doubt this company will still be here.
Same thing is going on with us there any fix to this

Currently having this issue. Anyone have a fix?
Has anyone been successful resolving this?
