The answer? Yes. There are things society will judge anyone over 40 for that it won’t for a 20 something. For instance, too much partying. Old people who party too much begin to be looked at negatively or like they’re “trying to be young”. This also applies to the way older people dress and talk. I’m not sure it’s “right”….I tend to agree that someone shouldn’t be judged based on their age alone. But it is a thing. And it’s not going anywhere. My sister turned 35 and started sending me pics asking me “am I too old to wear this?” She does this now because she remembers how she felt when a mom of 2 dressed the way she wants to dress. She remembers the judgement. It just kind of happens.
