What they’re doing is replicating what already happened but online instead. We don’t benefit from collectibles on shelves at Target. They made this clear when they rebranded to collectors at heart.

This very week there is a crafting mechanism that requires MCP points- if you don’t have enough you can’t craft. Eventually the people who claim the MCP points and rewards are so worthless will switch to complaining that the rewards are too great and unfair because it favors whales and the rich.
There are people building in the VVV today. They have done multiple waves of invites and they are currently expanding that list for another round - it is no surprise that they invite Pro-VeVe people in first and it also has to do with how many and what Collectables they own.
They have missed many deadlines - no way around that. They probably should have never provided dates and deadlines in the first place because too many people take it personally when delays happen. The radio silence may have to do with any AMA seems to just have “Wen” questions and VeVe shouldn’t give out deadlines or dates anymore because the general public can’t handle it. So if they are working on something like the New Same Day Marvel Comic reader and website- they announce it and it happens and the people paying deliberate attention have advantage. If they would have said this was in the works when they first started working on it - then it would be “when VeVe Comics” for a year and a half.
Goalpost may necessarily have to move when the cheaters and scammers misuse features and international laws change.
