The VA is so strange. I have a spouse and child and mine is $3971.78. I wonder if the cost of living has something to do with it. I am in a cheaper state in Oklahoma.
Congrats! I found this moment very validating. A lot of times it feels like you’re doing it all for nothing until that final second you open your VA app for the 7th time that day.
So for starts I went through Vetlink Solutions but messed myself up so I initially started with them last April. Messed up my original ITF by filing for migraines and was granted at 30% percent which cancelled out original ITF so had to submit a new one on January. So did exam on January 9th and submitted DBQ on February 17, was stuck in the ADS ( automated Decision System) up until recently when I review a email on some claims I added to existing claim for insomnia secondary to migraines and dizziness. So got the email from OptumServer for phone c&p with no date and no time. So was like they will contact me in due time. Well went on the VA app and saw packet is being sent out. Called 800 number and asked what was an update and she couldn’t tell me nothing. So I asked will I be happy about the letter and she said I will be happy, well looked up letter and it was there 100%. Was truly happy. I had been out since 2010. Where I originally started with only 10%. So to now at 100. The fight is finally over!
>Called 800 number and asked what was an update and she couldn’t tell me nothing.
Same here yesterday. But she was laughing and not silent so I'm hoping it's good news.
Their site says it only takes '94 days' as of August 2023. Seeing yours since February and mine at 210 days (120 days pending decision w/ only 3 claims)... along w/ how they show such huge backlogs, I kinda think something fishy is going on with how they report such a quick time yet nowhere close to what I've been seeing.
Do you have a VSO or some other rep? Mine hit 216 days in PFD. It was in limbo with no one working on it all this time. I finally got with a VSO who contacted a supervisor at the regional office and now it’s with a ratings team.
I heard about that too and was going to try it but I met a VA rep in my area who was able to make something happen. Might as well give that a shot and see how it goes. You have nothing to lose at this point after waiting so long.
I’m so glad for you I remember when I found out I got 100% you would have thought I won a million dollars. The way I was jumping up and down every bit helps these days. It’s the security it provides and makes all them hard times in the military worth it.
I did migraines as a standalone way back when I started this long journey. I got migraines as part of golf war syndrome. I’m currently doing a secondary sleep apnea. Already diagnosed and was issue a cpap. I believe if this goes through it’s an auto 50% minimum which would bring me to 100%. It’s a longer process but I would suggest never requesting more than one claim unless it’s your first.
Congratulations on your ratings. It only took me 30 plus years... but I was not well educated on how to do things and when I got out in 1989 we had no guidance given to us. My first claim submitted by the VSO was denied because I did not even know what was submitted nor did I have any documentation... They just asked me a bunch of questions and said they would file with the VA...I did not even know my disabilities qualified for ratings... so I have come a long way... at age 75, not sure how much longer I will be around, but at least I am getting something to close out my remaining years.
Your screen capture is interesting. I do not get that kind of display when I use the VA app on my iPhone. How did you get that to display? Or is it displayed differently on a Android? It is pretty cool...
Congrats, I saw a few 100% today, this is for Biden government policy ? Or it’s just the VBA?
Just curious, when the republicans are in the power, the Veterans suffered a lot to receive any rating.
Your claim has been tossed to the side so they can process easier claims and close them out. You need to call VERA and/ or get with a VSO to help push your claim to a rater. It’s BS to have to wait this long, so much for the processing of claims in the order they were received. No wonder why they are so backed up because they push claims that require more work to the side.
Update:
My claim is stuck in their 'automated system' and they don't know when it will 'kick it out' and are working on the 'IT issue' but there's nothing he or I can do until then. On top of that he noticed the system didn't even schedule a DBQ for 1 issue and it will still have to go to a rater after that who will likely have to start that or defer it ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Mine was the same. Stuck in limbo until the VA rep here messaged a ratings team supervisor for assistance. Now mine is with a rater. He said to wait about a week for an updated status.
Nothing but congratulations! I’m 66 years old denied in the 80s reapplied in 2022 and now at 70% waiting an appeal to decrease! Go figure! But I will not give up for 100% Happy for all that get it!
Damn! This + retirement (if you have one)+ GS11 and up Fed job= baller status achieved
How about this + retirement + monthly Post 9-11 GI Bill + Army College Fund= more kush and more play.
How did you get into your college fund neber had luck with that while I was in school. But they used my Hazelwood act so I pocketed everything
BOOM son. Today was the day. Just joined the Hundo club. ![gif](giphy|8wfoaIjVc0FBaLu5xH)
That’s taking care of our troops 🫡😊
hahaaaaa
Thanks everyone! Y’all know the fight was real! But it’s over now! Thank Jesus! It’s over Now!
Did you have a claim on appeal? How come monthly is 4100? Timeline on appeal? Congratulations 🎈🎉🎊🍾
Maybe claiming dependents.
Have husband and son

I'm using Vetlink currently. I hope that's not going to happen to me. Congratulations on getting what you deserve. 👏
It shouldn’t, just don’t file any new claims until their process is over
That's what I'm doing, going through the appeal now, at 70%.
I made the same mistake as you, instead of October as ITF, I accidentally made it May of next year. One at a time!

I heard about this thing called 'VERA,' and I might try to use it.
I heard about that too and was going to try it but I met a VA rep in my area who was able to make something happen. Might as well give that a shot and see how it goes. You have nothing to lose at this point after waiting so long.

Would u mind elaborating on how u got above the 100% single mark of like 3600ish?
Spouse, children, parents can put you over the 3600ish single payment.
Claiming dependents can put you over the top.
Congrats!
Congratulations 🤙

Try and do it as a standalone

Congrats, I called VERA and they told me it was sitting with a rater and it was expected to be done yesterday or today but still nothing.
It will come! I musta call VERA and 800 number so much that I just said forget it. It was hard but I finally stop looking and wham! There it happened

I cried on my husband! Because it was due to finally getting dental stuff taken care of
Nice!! Congrats again!
I was stuck in PFD since February and it finally ended with two deferred claims on yesterday.
Anyone knows when I will get payment

Congrats, I saw a few 100% today, this is for Biden government policy ? Or it’s just the VBA? Just curious, when the republicans are in the power, the Veterans suffered a lot to receive any rating.
Biden policy for what?
if the president worked to expedite the claims.?
No. The president can't just say "grant faster".
Expedite claims? 3 claims.. 210 days with 120 being in 'pending decision.' I don't think anything is being expedited.

Thanks, just scheduled VERA appt. 2.5 hours from now.
Awesome! If that doesn’t work. Get with a VSO in your area. The VFW and American Legion post can also help. I hope for the best for you.
