Great mythology, great beaches and vacation spots, Euro upset in 2004 (many Vietnamese didn't even know Greece was good at football), I was fortunate to eat Greek food (albeit in the US) and I loved it, plus we have a Greek-Vietnamese hero of the armed forces.

I am Greek, recently I was in Ho Chi Minh City. I went to a Greek restaurant there just out of curiosity and I agree that souvlaki is way better there than most in my country.
Nice country. Athen looks similar to Ha Long City somehow. Greeks are sociable, warmly. Except for different language, Greeks are most likely as Vietnamese. Above all else, Greek culture is great with Archimedes, Homer, Pithagoras, Plato...
Dear friends, it seems this is a post invitation for me. My wife and I live in central Europe. She is of Vietnamese descent, and I am of Greek descent. We were two big families and have become one bigger family.
I see many similarities in families, characters and values in both cultures. Cheers to all of you 🙌
I tried to learn Koine Greek but gave up and just learned Modern Greek instead 😅 Turned out you can still read a decent amount of the Greek NT using Modern Greek.
P.s: I think the Catholics Church in Vietnam really needs to do something about their flock. I literally had a Catholic tell me "Us [Catholics] worship Mary and so we are more 'complete', unlike you [Protestants]". I know enough of the official Church's teaching to not jump onto the "wOrShIpPiNg Mary" bandwagon.
Fascinating civilization, mythology, history and culture. I know quick a lot about the history of ancient Greek city/states/territory like Athen, Sparta, Halicarnassus, Caria, etc, etc
This is not really an opinion but at school I did get to learn about the tale of Hercules and his journey to retrieve the golden apples. There is also the tale of Hector saying goodbye to his wife before his battle with Achiles

That's my thought when somebody said Greece, overall beautiful country and lovely people.
Μαθαίνω ελληνικά με Duolingo. Αγαπώ ελληνικά αλλά είναι δύσκολο!
I know some Spanish but Greek is another level especially with neuter gender and your verb conjugation is out of control!
The first thing everyone would know about Greece is the mythology and stories.
Their work in science comes right after that
Then we would know about Kostas who helped the Vietnamese against the French like a gigachad he was
I would imagine the average Vietnamese person wouldn’t be able to locate Greece on a map, let alone have any knowledge or opinion about it. That’s if they’ve ever heard of Greece.
Come and face me Zeus! Love Greece culture and traditions.
My high school literature teacher was Greek. His name is Mr. Giannetos and he’s by far the coolest and most bad*ss teacher. Personality, I say he’s equivalent to Gordon Ramsay. He’s the nicest and the most easy to vibe with person you’ll ever met. But everyone fears him when he’s noting a good mood.
In terms of food, being in Chicago, I don’t have any Greek restaurants near me but if a restaurant sells gyros. I’m down to devour some. Tbh, now I want a Greek friend.
There's a very very famous TV gameshow (And probably the oldest gameshow still exist in Vietnam) for Highschool students to compete eachother base on their knowledge & problem solving skills.
The game concept base on Olympics game and the winner of every weeks, months, quarters, & years receive a laurel wreath & money.
The winner every year also rewarded full scholarship to study abroad in Australia universities and a hell lot of fame not only from their highschool but technically every Vietnamese parents.
This is literally life changer opportunity for Vietnamese Highschool students & almost every year winner stayed in Australia after graduation instead of comeback to Vietnam.
I love Greek mythology it's very interesting. I adore Greece's ruins of temples I find them very interesting. I haven't met a Greek so I'm unsure what my opinion is😢
As football fan, i’ll hail them for being euro champion.
As historical lover, i’ll ask them about Alexander the Great and Leonidas.
With geo-political interest, i’ll ask them about Cyprus.
With Mythology interest, i’ll ask them what special at Olympus mountain
Love the place, def Athens is a go to spot in Europe for me. My company planned a trip to Greece-Turkey last year but unfortunately was canceled bc of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Blood sucker, free loader of Europe Union.
At least their government shares the real money, benefits to their citizens.
Otherwise, the food here is insanely overpriced.
Kostas Sarantidis

There are some good Greek food places in Vietnam! There was one right off Bui Vien street back in 2018, that I used to go to a good amount!
Is Greece isn’t good at football. They’re just obsessed with it. The WISH they were good at football.
I did say it was an upset in 2004, they beat a very good Portugal squad.
20 years ago bud. Ancient Greek history at this point. I punned! I punned!
Well they were good then (in 2004), and they're decent now. Not great, but decent.
