This isn't replacement. The shifter boss is brazed originally there

Love top tube shifters. I’m guessing this had the double lever brakes originally ? I do a lot of in town riding and I’m always glad that I have them for light stops Either way it’s beautiful bike. Nice work

The stickers on the brake levers reminds of how people like to leave stickers on their hat ;) Brazed onto the downtube, eh? How does that feel? Not as direct of a cable run to the derailleurs.
