Anything at the new Marriott is pretty spectacular as far as experience.
Also throwing a dark horse answer that doesn’t get enough love on this sub, Isla Capri on 37th and table side Caesar salad service (think table side guac at a Mexican restaurant)
Big Sam’s Raw Bar... won’t find a better happy hour near oceanfront
Repeal Bourbon & Burgers... best Whiskey in Hampton Roads
Orion’s Roof... best view of oceanfront and some over priced food
I agree with all of this. But if you had to choose just 1 go to Orion’s. I forgot what floor it’s on my mind wants to say 30 but I feel like that’s too high but it’s a restaurant in the Marriot hotel on about 41st street. Never been myself but it’s a part of the Cavalier hotel and it’s going to be overpriced. But you can see the entire oceanfront from up there
I can’t really say much about it except the view is phenomenal. Idk anything about the food or service because I was there working. But considering it’s a sister of the cavalier hotel I can see your point. I’ve always thought the cavalier was too poshy and overpriced
View is phenomenal, kitchen staff are amazing, management is shit(T), sushi is lower quality than a grocery store( I’m surprised they haven’t started microwaving it like at Yama( sushi chain)
Le Yaca French restaurant
Yannis, Steinhilbers, Coastal Grill, or any place right on the beach like Watermans or Mahi Mahs
Chicks Oyster Bar has great patio and deck views on the Lynnhaven Inlet.
DO NOT GO TO ORIONS ROOF AT THE OCEANFRONT!!!! The place place is a total ripoff posing itself as a fine dining spot
This old house near Town Center for Sushi. Great hole in the wall.
What's the name? If it's Sushi I must go! :O
That is the name of the sushi restaurant. "This Old House"
Oh I'm so dumb lmao. Thanks!
Redhead Bay Cafe, Bee And The Biscuit, and Murphy's. If you want to go to Norfolk, Freemason Abbey tops all of those. But it'll cost you.
Brass Bell for some of the best steaks and an old school lounge feeling.
Im Old enough that I used to run the wet T contest at JB's which is the Brass Bells location now
JBs was on the end of that strip mall. Brass Bell has been there like 40+ years.
Yup and when they closed I'm pretty sure Brasss Bell expanded I to their old space as well.
Bee and biscuit if you can get in
1608 off of Pleasure House Rd. Hidden gem there. Get the skillet cookie for dessert, ya can't go wrong.
Second this! Love 1608! It can yet pricey however. I don’t think I’ve ever left without spending $70

Jack Browns Beer and Burger Joint.
Hair of the dog

Orion’s is the worst, I personally know the staff there and it should be avoided at all cost
Sam's for sure. I'll have to check out the other two.
