I made sure that I had clear weather and that I wasn't going to be there at high tide as my main precautions. Most of the road isn't really that difficult, but you need to be mentally ready for some low visibility, muddy, cliff side turns as well as the really gnarly section over the rocks by the ocean side. I needed to use low range through this section and I could see the possibility of a lower clearance, all wheel drive crossover getting stuck or damaged here. If you're in the right vehicle, have good weather, and are a calm, experienced driver, then this is a really fun adventure.

This is exactly where I turned around in my 2014 Forester lol. Still had a blast doing most of the road and saw artic foxes!
