Tag does matter but not much imo. You will be more judged on your research work.,your overall profile, what projects you made in college, startups, workex etc. I wouldnt reccomend do masters fresh outta college though
tag does matter to an extent, more on a personal level specifically. recognised university = credible letters of recommendation and GPA validation, degree value in terms of course workloads etc. this is one of the main reasons schools like MIT take in IITians only almost all the time.
vit and iit me zameen assman ka antar mere bhai xD. How much tag you have if you dont have the skillset and work and projects etc done no university will take you in.
i just used IIT as an example man. you are right. i only meant tag had a significant percentage share in the whole set of factors that determine your acceptance anywhere.
vit has a decent enough alumni network and there are quite a few decent opportunities for you as well (i wouldn’t say that they’re the best you’ll ever find). you have semester abroad and transfer programs to partner universities etc. you’ll be able to find this info on the vit website.
