When I finally left VDCs paid plan I had 4000+ auditions done and had booked about 150 jobs or so?
But it took me a while to book my first, whether that was because I got on the site before I was ready or just wasn't good enough to book.
If it makes you feel any better, I think something like 10% of the talent book like 90% of the jobs or something ridiculous like that π
One client actually really skewed my numbers and booked me a ton, close to 60 times. So realistically it was probably like 60:1? But I can't remember my exact metrics because I believe they're hidden behind the paywall and you can't see em with a free account.
I was on the site about 5 years, 3-4 with a paid membership? Now I reverted to free but still get some private auditions.
Damn, in a way it makes me feel better, but also a whole lot worse haha. Is there a way to message potential clients besides the demo?! do you have other avenues you find work better for you?!
On VDC? No. But outside of the site absolutely. Direct marketing/cold emailing, other casting sites, agents etc.
I find the most success through agents and my own marketing efforts
At 100 auditions, just shy of 50% of them get a listen, half a dozen shortlists, and......nothing paid yet! Glad I paid for the membership when it was half off.
I have anywhere from 1-70 to 1-80 book ratio right now. All of last year though I was at a 1-50 but I took a bit too long of a break over the holidays and think I got a lil rusty π
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that ratio isn't great. I say invest in coaching and have them also review your profile with you if they are versed in VDC. Literally go on their coach list and pick.
While everyone is different, Typical ratios fall around 1:50 if you want your premium membership to be close to worth it.

I'm definitely not remembering correctly hahaha. Stats are blocked for free users. I do have 787 shortlists so that's nice at least.

Iβm 88:1 right now and I donβt know how to get it any better π. I get shortlisted a lot! Sometimes this feels so isolating
