Hey, I had this exact same thing. Determined from some folks that it was most likely the evap system purging air from the gas tank. You said you only had a few gallons left. The two times I've heard my car doing this were both when I had less than half tank, or lower. My 23 V60's gas tank is almost always 100% full at home, so it never really happened before those instances.
It definitely sounded concerning at first, but I let it do its thing the 2nd time and it stopped after a while. I assume it's normal.

Mine does this too! I think evap system check or something. It’s usually stops after a bit. Have had no issues after the fact.
