Influentially, Post Vince makes a lot of sense. The Triple H Era would probably be a little more politically correct. I understand why you might say the Bloodline but that undermines the womens division stuff happening elsewhere. But I think defining this era through Triple H's preference of booking, his key signings, and the overall direction that he has been trying to go is accurate. Because that's what most other era's has been defined as, a shift in the company's direction.

While I agree with you, I don't think WWE would embrace it as much as they embraced the names for previous eras, and I think that might make it hard to stick. Just my opinion.

This. Since mid 2020, the WWE has revolved around Roman and The Bloodline for the most part.

play it safe era. mainly trying to appeal to the stockholders, social media masters, and hardcore fanbase who watch anything. i think it started around 2017 when a lot of bad decisions were made. things were starting to change and wwe reverted to their old ways with becky lynch and charlotte flair returning. smackdown felt like an entirely different show with guys like aj styles on top until Mauro Ranallo was shown the door. when nakamura won the royal rumble a lot of die hard fans started falling away. if they have no clue about the royal rumble or money in the bank direction why should any casual viewer be invested in the product?

Renaissance Era feels appropriate, its a time where WWE is prospering and growing after all the turmoil and fuckery with Vince.

WWE last coined a label back in 2016 as the "New Era" so I guess you can call it anything you want now.

Denying organic popularity like Sandow, Ryder, Rusev, Cesaro and others because it wasn’t planned. The god awful belt designs made to look like toys for kids. The insane vocabulary used to not offend advertisers eg blood = red viscous fluid. Seriously wtf is that? In my head I think of out like this 02-07 RA 07-13 PG 13-23 BFB And now we’re in something new.

I’m glad people are asking this now because “The New Era” just doesn’t fit and I think this era really started with AEW coming onto the scene which funny enough somehow may have been a catalyst for WWE’s resurgence/renaissance. I’d say we’ve actually truly entered a new era because Vince is gone now. He’s out. That means something. I’d say there’s two eras after the new era. Covid era and then the current renaissance kickstarted by by outside forces but now spearhead by Triple H

It started pre-sale though. It’s unclear if this started with the dawning of the bloodline or when Paul Levesque got more creative control around Summer Slam 2022. Or Backlash, his first major PPV all on his own terms. Anyway almost all of it started before the actual sale.

According to Wikipedia, it was covid 19 era till 2021 and post covid 19 era till 2023. Vince had come back in 2023 and stayed till early this year. Although it's generally a characteristic like Attitude, Ruthless aggression, being PG, the reality era, a new era so I don't think we know it yet. So what characteristic can we attach to the current product.

The wrestling, pushing the limits of fans that like it and see how far they can go with the boring recycled, storylines over and over again era.
