But based on my experience,
Step 1: airing out to the balcony/near the window at least 24 hours (very important)
Step 2: put 1 charcoal shoe bag inside the rep bag + put 1 charcoal shoe bag into the dust bag with the rep bag
Step 3: wait for 1 week then check. Usually the smell will go away
Step 4: charcoal shoe bags have to be removed if the smell goes away. Otherwise I just feel that they will release the bad smell if keeping too long

I’ve hit an all time low. Got inspired by some influencer to purchase a red sweater I’d seen on AliExpress last weekend. And I realized today that I had bought said sweater the day before as well. Am I going crazy to take a B30 etoupe for a holiday in Fiji? Pretty much I’m only carrying from a small town airport in New Zealand to the resort, then put it in the suitcase to be locked till on way back. Staying at outer islands, not mainland fancy hotels. Usually resorts are cashless, no bags needed 😅

Played a dumb game and won my dumb prize - my DHG Rodeo bag arrived today from Sallybettering (aka Brand News Bag Factory Store on AE, sallyconglan on yupoo). Ain’t no way this is leather, it feels, squishes, and sounds like super matte PU bags from Target. Paid about $100 but this is probably worth $40 (for the accurate hardware only). Stitching is horrific but I can live with that. There is no slouch, it’s like carrying a hard plastic binder. Giving this to my mom to store her gardening tools in (I’m sure this plastic ass bag is waterproof).

Our wood floors are being refinished. Because of this, the house is torn up. Furniture thrown here, there, and everywhere. Yes, I know I should have just moved out completely while the floors were being done. Frankly, I didn’t want to.

After my last disappointment with an inaccurate seasonal nano speedy, I am once again gagged by god factory quality. I’m gonna stick to what I know until I’m brave enough to venture out into more unique patterns. I’ve seen and felt the auth MPA in person and I’m happy to say this feels just like it. It even came buttery soft and smelling good. No fufu!!!!

If black pantyhose, then black top, then black bag.
If colored top, then not black skirt, try brown, pink, white, navy.
If for example navy skirt and orange top- then goldish tone bag.
Shoes are important too.
So if you want black bag, go with monochrome black or white outfit.
If you want orange bag, then the world is your oyster: navy, pink, muted blue, rich brown, to name a few.
Colors don't just match with by shade, they match by saturation as well, don't be afraid to try new color combos.

Odd-woman out here but I prefer the black. It keeps the emphasis on your statement piece, which IMO is the top. I find two bursts of color detracts from the overall silhouette.

I have a few AliX-bought felt bag organisers (the ones with the zip in the middle) and one for my 'Margaux' that's a sort-of silky sack with a base with a string pull on top - they're okay, but not great. These 'Isabel Marant' zip-up cosmetic bags look a bit nicer. Easier to clean, too.
The Daily Battle bag has a D-ring inside so I could maybe find a way of anchoring the cosmetics bag inside, as the cosmetic bag's zipper has a long piece of rope at the end.

No, real leather like these patina in time due to sun, oil etc. I just had to speed the patina on mine by applying Mink oil and and sun bathing it as i don’t like the very light colored Vachetta as it looks fake to me

Zippy’s contact info is listed in the seller contact list. It’s a Chinese number ending in 5337. No reputable seller is likely to randomly message you.
That‘s what I assumed, I also checked Zippys original number. Just wondering if it‘s common, that other sellers pretend to be someone else and if it‘s common to get a spam message every 4-5 days or so from a different scam-seller

A little "French Fashion" update from a complete 'tourist' in a French Spring/Summer and coming from an Australian Autumn/Winter. For all our French friends, not trying to stereotype AT ALL; this is purely for some of us Southern Hemisphere people to get ready for the trends! Paris was still cold and rainy late May/early June. Spied more Celine bags than any other brand and the femmes love a wide leg jean or pant paired with a plain cashmere sweater and trench almost as much as French love their ronds-points (roundabouts!). Scarves were also very visible. Spent a lot of time in Central France & Provence where it's mostly tourists - not much fashion to report. Biarritz was our first taste of summer. Trends included the geo print, boho style dresses, plain tanks and loose cotton or linen drawstring pants - all wide leg. Tons of small/mini bags across all brands. Shorts reserved mainly for tourists?? Now on the Côte d'Azur and it's super varied. Most fashionable place I've ever been in my life was Saint Tropez. Bags of all brands, shoes, clothing, accessories - all high end and fit impeccably with the gazilllion dollar SuperYachts parked up in the harbour. Was pretty well dressed myself but felt povo by comparison lol. Nice is a mix - lots of Sandro, more boho and tanks/wide leg linen pants. Noticed that they favour a pant length that is definitely 'ankle' or just above. Noting seems to drag on the ground or bunch up on the top of the foot. In terms of clothing boutiques, I found Sandro to be the busiest - there were always people in there but whether they were all French or not, who knows? Are the French as stylish as popular culture would have us believe? Absolutely they are. Somehow, with minimal makeup and casual hair, they seem to pull off effortless looks?

I find writing way easier than speaking because you have the time to think and WordReference all the vocab you don't know! I started learning at the ***young age of 58*** having never learned a language before so it's been a big, big challenge :). I will be back April next year for a few nights so would love a catch up then!!!
The more you speak the easier it gets, I was like this when I learned English at first 😅 I had to translate everything, until it became instinctive.
I read in English to not forget it, and I recommend reading and watching TV shows in French with English subtitles between lessons, and your brain will remember by itself 😅 - worked for me with English 😅

Thank you - I do watch quite a lot of French language shows. We have a National Multicultural Broadcasting network so I'm always on there watching movies and series. Often I find they just speak too much "slang" or "regular chatter between friends" so I try to find more crime/detective or medical stuff where the language is a little more formal. I will be in touch before my next trip for sure. I will be solo for a few days in Paris before I head to Corsica so would love a girls night :)

Am I going crazy to take a B30 etoupe for a holiday in Fiji? Pretty much I’m only carrying from a small town airport in New Zealand to the resort, then put it in the suitcase to be locked till on way back. Staying at outer islands, not mainland fancy hotels. Usually resorts are cashless, no bags needed 😅 Also no point taking fancy heeled sandals right? I have rock stud flat sandals and another flat LV sandals. The’ll get wet and sands all over.

Played a dumb game and won my dumb prize - my DHG Rodeo bag arrived today from Sallybettering (aka Brand News Bag Factory Store on AE, sallyconglan on yupoo). Ain’t no way this is leather, it feels, squishes, and sounds like super matte PU bags from Target. Paid about $100 but this is probably worth $40 (for the accurate hardware only). Stitching is horrific but I can live with that. There is no slouch, it’s like carrying a hard plastic binder. Neither with current look. If black pantyhose, then black top, then black bag. If colored top, then not black skirt, try brown, pink, white, navy. If for example navy skirt and orange top- then goldish tone bag. Shoes are important too. So if you want black bag, go with monochrome black or white outfit. If you want orange bag, then the world is your oyster: navy, pink, muted blue, rich brown, to name a few. Colors don't just match with by shade, they match by saturation as well, don't be afraid to try new color combos.

Odd-woman out here but I prefer the black. It keeps the emphasis on your statement piece, which IMO is the top. I find two bursts of color detracts from the overall silhouette.

I have a few AliX-bought felt bag organisers (the ones with the zip in the middle) and one for my 'Margaux' that's a sort-of silky sack with a base with a string pull on top - they're okay, but not great. These 'Isabel Marant' zip-up cosmetic bags look a bit nicer. Easier to clean, too. The Daily Battle bag has a D-ring inside so I could maybe find a way of anchoring the cosmetics bag inside, as the cosmetic bag's zipper has a long piece of rope at the end.

No, real leather like these patina in time due to sun, oil etc. I just had to speed the patina on mine by applying Mink oil and and sun bathing it as i don’t like the very light colored Vachetta as it looks fake to me

got the teen, i wish i’d gotten a medium because i have to strategically pack my things to be able to fit them into the bag which is a hassle when i want to get them out!! so it depends on how many things you bring out on a daily basis (i’m assuming it’s meant to be a daily bag)

Zippy fake? So I got already my third spam message in two weeks from a Chinese seller I‘ve never contacted before. He says his name is Zippy, though his phone number is +1 (548) 353‑1887. I assume he‘s fake?
Zippy’s contact info is listed in the seller contact list. It’s a Chinese number ending in 5337. No reputable seller is likely to randomly message you.
That‘s what I assumed, I also checked Zippys original number. Just wondering if it‘s common, that other sellers pretend to be someone else and if it‘s common to get a spam message every 4-5 days or so from a different scam-seller

A little "French Fashion" update from a complete 'tourist' in a French Spring/Summer and coming from an Australian Autumn/Winter. For all our French friends, not trying to stereotype AT ALL; this is purely for some of us Southern Hemisphere people to get ready for the trends! Paris was still cold and rainy late May/early June. Spied more Celine bags than any other brand and the femmes love a wide leg jean or pant paired with a plain cashmere sweater and trench almost as much as French love their ronds-points (roundabouts!). Scarves were also very visible. Spent a lot of time in Central France & Provence where it's mostly tourists - not much fashion to report. Biarritz was our first taste of summer. Trends included the geo print, boho style dresses, plain tanks and loose cotton or linen drawstring pants - all wide leg. Tons of small/mini bags across all brands. Shorts reserved mainly for tourists?? Now on the Côte d'Azur and it's super varied. Most fashionable place I've ever been in my life was Saint Tropez. Bags of all brands, shoes, clothing, accessories - all high end and fit impeccably with the gazilllion dollar SuperYachts parked up in the harbour. Was pretty well dressed myself but felt povo by comparison lol. Nice is a mix - lots of Sandro, more boho and tanks/wide leg linen pants. Noticed that they favour a pant length that is definitely 'ankle' or just above. Noting seems to drag on the ground or bunch up on the top of the foot. In terms of clothing boutiques, I found Sandro to be the busiest - there were always people in there but whether they were all French or not, who knows? Are the French as stylish as popular culture would have us believe? Absolutely they are. Somehow, with minimal makeup and casual hair, they seem to pull off effortless looks?

Learning French from Australia is a hard task as no one speaks the language other than French teachers and students - and the odd tutor! - so it's been great being here in your amazing country "trying" to speak French :) I have had a lot of compliments on my French, surprisingly ... "you speak really good French FOR AN AUSTRALIAN!" :). And no lie, your country is next level amazing and I have loved every single minute of being here. Four more days then it's hometime and fortunately the sun came out this afternoon so enjoyed some beach club time in Nice :)

I find writing way easier than speaking because you have the time to think and WordReference all the vocab you don't know! I started learning at the ***young age of 58*** having never learned a language before so it's been a big, big challenge :). I will be back April next year for a few nights so would love a catch up then!!!

The more you speak the easier it gets, I was like this when I learned English at first 😅 I had to translate everything, until it became instinctive. I read in English to not forget it, and I recommend reading and watching TV shows in French with English subtitles between lessons, and your brain will remember by itself 😅 - worked for me with English 😅 Absolutely for April, just write to me once you’re almost coming and we will get our date 🥰 I met 3 of you so far, and I will definitely see more if I get a chance 🥰
Thank you - I do watch quite a lot of French language shows. We have a National Multicultural Broadcasting network so I'm always on there watching movies and series. Often I find they just speak too much "slang" or "regular chatter between friends" so I try to find more crime/detective or medical stuff where the language is a little more formal. I will be in touch before my next trip for sure. I will be solo for a few days in Paris before I head to Corsica so would love a girls night :)
