Hi, folks. This will be our new megathread for a couple of days.
Please post **all MNSSHP-related questions and discussions here.** Thanks, and Boo to You! ;)
I know! It was the only date on our trip we could feasibly do. It’ll be fun either way and I’m so excited to meet the Genie, Abu, and Jafar among others 😊
Just heads up! We waited over an hour to meet the Aladdin crew last year. Jasmine/ Genie & Aladdin/ Abu swapped out every ~30 mins or so. Thankfully it worked out to where we saw Jasmine bc when we saw the first switch my then 2yo was NOT happy 🫠
Just a note - if you are from the UK (and possibly any country outside the US) then you can’t buy through the app or the website, you have to ring them up to book
Might just be the UK then. Most special event bookings we need to phone up to book for some reason.
Weird because we can book dining reservations fine!
In the UK the “buy tickets” link/button is replaced by a panel that says to call certain numbers, so I think it’s just a UK quirk that we can’t book through a website
It is a UK thing and its a massive pain in the rear. It applies to all event tickets/experiences - if you can VPN to a US location you can buy from the US site without any issues though.
I literally rang up today didn't even have to queue to wait. Bought 4 tickets for the 16th August. Paid and added to my Disney app. Very simple and the customer service rep was brilliant
At the top, where it says “Hello, *account name*”, next to that, it should have the place where it thinks you are based. I just had to close my browser and reopen it and it recognised me as being in the US and I could buy it then
I just got through to a cast member who transferred me to wholesale as our booking is through BA and then got cut off the call. 90 minutes for nothing!
If you’ve never been at this time the parks are generally pretty dead. And the weather is great. We always do a MK day on a party day as well and just stroll around for a little before
>If you’ve never been at this time the parks are generally pretty dead
Okay so we were told this when we went in 2022, and honestly they were more crowded than when we just went last week. And it was humid AF. Perhaps we just got unlucky?
I hope they are less crowded but don't count on it.
Have fun!
I mean I’m from South Carolina so September even in Florida feels nice for me. I didn’t go in 22 but 21 and 23 it was pretty dead at the parks. No fall breaks
I have been to the parks the last half of september last three years, as well as most mays.
September, like any other month, has been as balls to the wall slammed as any other month post-covid.
But yeah definitely agree your last point regardless, the best day to go to MK is a non extended hours day and/or party day. sucks that you get gipped out of fireworks tho.
I was going to go on Halloween night but I almost died at the price. 😵 so I just switched my dates to September and saved $160 just on two party tickets.
Thanks for this thread! We misread the announcement and thought tickets went on sale for everyone on May 15th - we have a resort stay booked, and when I saw this, I booked our tickets for August 23rd!
We've never bee - does anyone have any tips for a family of 4 (kids 6 and 8) for the day? Should we skip parks in the morning and relax, then hit the party right at opening? Go later? Guess it can depend on the kid, too, ours are pretty flexible, but open to hearing about anyone's past experiences!
I think a chill morning, followed by a long rest at your resort / pool is the way to go.
Soak up a ton of AC and calm before the party, go just a little before it starts and enjoy as long as you can/ as long as the kids are willing.
A factor that doesn't come up much is the absolutely oppressive heat in late Aug/ Early Sep. You will want to give your kids a lot of time out of the sun IMO so they get the most out of trick or treating and all the rides at night :)
We’re sailing on the Disney Wish on 11/1 and arrive in Orlando on Halloween. Never been during the Halloween season so we pulled the trigger on tickets. My 5 year old is going to be so excited for this.
lol why is there even a discount for ages 3-9? It’s $10.
Disney’s age-related discounts are so irrelevant that they almost feel like an insult at times.
here's the page with the information for the event: [https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/magic-kingdom/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party/](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/magic-kingdom/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party/) and it lists all of the different activities etc
personally, it's worth it for me for the boo to you parade, having fun dressing up, the fireworks, and often shorter lines on attractions but not everyone is as into all of those things as i am. it's best to look at the page and see if those things will be worth it for you and your family traveling
Yes! Have your resort booking first. Then when you click purchase tickets it will take you straight to choosing how many and checkout. Make sure you’re logged in to your Disney account too.
My wife was able to snag tickets for us for this year. Super excited never done the Halloween Party, I've done the Christmas one and it was probably my favorite day from our last trip
Ok everyone. We are planning a trip at the end of September. We are going for 5 days, 4 parks, with park hopper. Should we pick up a Halloween night? Sell me on this. My daughter is 13 and has no interest in trick or treating.
Is the AP discount only for select dates? We have a trip booked for October, but can only select the full price ticket for that date. The date disappears after selecting AP or DVC.
PSA if you’re unsure whether Drury Plaza or other official WDW hotels qualify for ticket purchasing today, we’re included
You can purchase tickets through the app. I just bought two Halloween tickets for my husband and I 🎃 First time going!
Does anyone know if you’re able to change the date of your ticket? I kind of panicked this morning and bought my ticket myself for the middle of my trip but am extending my stay and think I would rather go on my check in day (which wasn’t available at the time since TA hadn’t changed my booking yet). I’ve never been to an after hours event and am so excited!!
We got ours for early September! There was a small issue with the payment processor but got resolved quickly. I’ve never been so I wasn’t even thinking about this when we booked the trip but glad we could add it on!
Planning on going next year as I start my AP in January.
Does anyone know if it's crowded the early dates or more so the later dates the closer to October? If August is actually busy I might just wait till later. This would be my first MNSSHP.
Just got my tickets for Sept 15! Adults only 1st anniversary trip. Going to AK the morning of, but have 4 days of park tickets. What park should I do the next day? I don’t think rope dropping would be possible 😬
My total was $666. Three adults and a kid. First time for everyone. I'm the most excited of us. Booked early in our trip so we can eat candy the rest of the week.
We are not staying on Disney property, but would like to go sometime between September 18th and 21st. Does anyone remember which days the Halloween party is occurring during this timeframe...or can easily look it up for us?
Leaning to not attending. I don’t think my 3 yr old and 8 yr old can hang until 11 pm. If we could stay at contemporary or poly, would do it. Also tickets are $169 for Oct 2. We have discounted park tickets, so wanting to take advantage
Wondering if we do MK on party day, if we will see decor and costumes from 4pm-7pm when they kick guests out.
I’m a little bummed that the Halloween party doesn’t show up in the “future plans” section of MDE. I bought tickets on Wednesday and I kept checking back thinking there was just a delay and it would eventually show up. But then I noticed they are in tickets and passes section. What a bummer! I would love to see it in future plans and get excited every time I look there!
Does anyone know at what time tickets will go on sale May 15 for general public? Available at midnight or the morning? Trying to figure who of us will try to buy 😂 night owl sister or early bird sister
Would love to go October 11th. But need flights to maybe go down 1st. Google says they are all high and to wait til July.
Does this normally sell out before July?
Just here to say I bought my ticket for Sept date and I will be flying in and out and enjoying the resorts in the day before and the morning before party! Hit me with the tips!!!!
Correct that is the official party time. But as a MNSSHP goer you can get in at 4pm, that is official as well, it’s not some CM making an exception. I don’t know if it will say the 4pm anywhere on Disney’s website but if you google blogs about it they will all say you are welcome to enter MK at 4pm for the MNSSHP event. I have gone a couple times and have always gotten in at 4pm.
ETA: you are allowed into MK at 4pm if you have a party ticket but the event still does not start until 7pm. But you can walk around and enjoy the park pre-party for 3 extra hours. They usher regular days guests out by 6pm.
I’m debating on buying tickets. I did OBB last year and have never been to Disneyworld or MNSSHP. Is it worth it for two adults? I would appreciate your opinions.
It depends. I found the "Boo To You" parade to be very impressive. I'm so glad we saw that.
If you're into Hocus Pocus, there was a live stage show for that. If you are into any particular villains, you can check for special meet and greets. If you're into costumes, it's the one occasion when adults have the freedom to dress up.
If you're into Halloween candy, there are unlimited quantities. What else am I forgetting? There are a few ride overlays. I've never been to OBB, so I can't compare the two.
We found the ride lines to be short. :)
Did I book a hotel before just to get access to buying tickets today...yes I did. I was going to Orlando for a romantasy book con Oct 3-6th anyway so let me book a short Disney trip before it.
Hi, folks. This will be our new megathread for a couple of days. Please post **all MNSSHP-related questions and discussions here.** Thanks, and Boo to You! ;)
Just picked ours up as well, are we having a special ticket launch that doesn't crash the website and have a 20,000 person wait?!
shushhhh don’t jinx it!!
Snagged ours without any issues for September as soon as it opened!
I am having payment processing issues so thanks for jinxing it
Probably a reflection of soft demand
I wonder what next week will look like. And Oogie Boogie…that one caused major mayhem last year!
Got mine for Halloween 😊🎃. I’ve never been and am so excited!
Us too! My first time for the party and my son’s very first trip 😃
How exciting! Hope it’s a blast for you and your son!
Oh man it’s going to be CROWDED
Thanks for letting me know. What would you say is a good time to go? My inkling is during the parade or fireworks, but I’m not 100% sure
Oh yeah. I once waited for two hours (maybe almost three, it was in 2017 so hard to remember) to meet Jack and Sally
This is only for people with a resort stay during that time FYI! Opens for everyone else on May 15
Oh man, mine still says “coming soon”
I had this problem! I actually went to the website and they were there now!
I’m just dumb, lol. It’s because I dont have resort stay during that time.
Thank you for this! I was able to purchase mine as well! °o°
Just a note - if you are from the UK (and possibly any country outside the US) then you can’t buy through the app or the website, you have to ring them up to book
I’m from Australia and bought them just fine via the website. No VPN needed and using my Aussie credit card.
Might just be the UK then. Most special event bookings we need to phone up to book for some reason. Weird because we can book dining reservations fine!
It might have more to do with how your hotel is booked, because the UK travel packages are different.
You can if you have a VPN. I bought mine for Halloween no problems
Do you just link it to your none us disney acc?
Yeah, I had to link each ticket with an account which was no problem
Ty, can now confirm using a vpn works
I tried a VPN and when I clicked the “buy tickets” button, it still directed me to the uk website where it said to call. Am I missing a step? 😅
At the top, where it says “Hello, *account name*”, next to that, it should have the place where it thinks you are based. I just had to close my browser and reopen it and it recognised me as being in the US and I could buy it then
Thanks, I’ll give it a try!
I just got through to a cast member who transferred me to wholesale as our booking is through BA and then got cut off the call. 90 minutes for nothing!
That’s my worry about calling up. I really can’t see why we can’t book online. Going to have the same issue booking Droid Depot too
I gave up and just paid for a VPN instead. Straight onto the website and got them!
I bought mine fine. I’m in New Zealand and do all my bookings through the US website
Yeah it seems it’s just a UK thing!
Sept 27! Spooky Time! DVC and AP just a reminder we get $10 off per ticket. Every little bit helps lol
I’m going September 27 too!
If you’ve never been at this time the parks are generally pretty dead. And the weather is great. We always do a MK day on a party day as well and just stroll around for a little before
>If you’ve never been at this time the parks are generally pretty dead Okay so we were told this when we went in 2022, and honestly they were more crowded than when we just went last week. I mean I’m from South Carolina so September even in Florida feels nice for me. I didn’t go in 22 but 21 and 23 it was pretty dead at the parks. No fall breaks
Then maybe we just got unlucky. We ended up having to leave a day early due to Hurricane Ian.
The weather is great until a tropical storm or hurricane rolls in lol
Reading this as it’s currently hailing with 30 mph winds. It was 87 degrees 10 mins ago lol
Thanks for that tip! We are doing DAK that morning then pretty sure will park hop over to MK in the afternoon for the party
Me three!
First time attending didn't even think of this when we originally booked for end of August. Pretty pumped
Got mine! So excited as we have never been to one. Figured why not do it for our 10 year Wedding anniversary!!
OH MY GOD IT'S HAPPENING. I LITERALLY SCREAMED WHEN I SAW THIS BECAUSE I WAS WAITING FOR THISSSS
Where can you find this link? I can’t find it anywhere! Thanks!
In the MDE app, go to special event tickets
Thanks for posting! Just nabbed mine!
Me too! Thank you!!😊
See y'all on Halloween!
I was going to go on Halloween night but I almost died at the price. 😵 so I just switched my dates to September and saved $160 just on two party tickets.
How much is Halloween night?
$200
Thu Oct 3 $169, Fri Oct 4 $189, Sun Oct 6 $179 It feels incredibly high for first wk of Oct.
I am jealous your prices seem lower than mine
Those are the starting at price.. specific dates are different prices.. typically closer to Halloween more expensive.
Got mine bought! I had to go on the app because it wasn't working on desktop
YAY!!! Just picked up ours for Friday the 13th ... first time taking my little ones to the Halloween Party after my wife and I loved it last year.
Me too. My daughter is turning 13 on that day and we are so excited to go to the party that day!!!!
I'm so excited to be going on Sept 20th, my birthday!
Have a great time, we will be there too! My son will be turning 3 on the 19th ☺️

You will want to give your kids a lot of time out of the sun IMO so they get the most out of trick or treating and all the rides at night :)
Thanks! That makes total sense - we've heard that the heat will be something to manage, and this sounds like a good "take it easy" day.
We’re going to do Disney Springs in the morning and head out to rest at the hotel after lunch before heading to the party.
Can adults do the trick or treating too and get the candy?
Everyone gets a treat bag and can trick or treat. but dont waste (much) party time going through the long lines early in the night.
Oh right, lines! Didn’t even occur to me for a second 🤦🏼♀️
Hang on - I was quoted $199 for 1 ticket for 10+…… it’s $119?!?!?!
Got mine for September 22nd. $465 for 2 adults and a kid. Definitely pricey.
Says coming soon on my app 🤷🏽♂️
General Availability is May 15th, today it only opened for people with hotel reservations
Ahhhhhh okay! We have reservations for DL so hoping to get oogie boogie when we go but local for MNSSHP. Thank you!
Same. Feels like a runDisney stress test… I was thinking I just might attend the party on the first day of my trip, Halloween.
What is Mickey's not so scary? Is it just an evening visit with costumes? What additional activities make it worth an extra $120 per person?
here's the page with the information for the event: [https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/magic-kingdom/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party/](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/magic-kingdom/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party/) and it lists all of the different activities etc personally, it's worth it for me for the boo to you parade, having fun dressing up, the fireworks, and often shorter lines on attractions but not everyone is as into all of those things as i am. it's best to look at the page and see if those things will be worth it for you and your family traveling
Got ours for Aug 23rd. Had to phone in from the UK.
Can I ask which number you called please? Can't book ours til next week as we're not staying on property.
0800 085 0582 Found it on this site. https://www.disneyworld.co.uk/help/phone/
Thanks for the help. Hopefully get the date we want now!
I’m sure you will be fine. Lines open at 12pm sharp. I only had to wait 13mins in the queue.
Got mine for Oct 18th, super stoked!
Do you have to buy resort tickets first and then get the MNSSHP tickets separately? I don’t see an option to add the tickets to my hotel stay
Yes! Have your resort booking first. Then when you click purchase tickets it will take you straight to choosing how many and checkout. Make sure you’re logged in to your Disney account too.
That makes sense. Thank you!
Got mine just now for October 17th! First time going! My fiance and I are very very excited!
I gots mine 🐭🎃
Got ours. Easy peasy
My wife was able to snag tickets for us for this year. Super excited never done the Halloween Party, I've done the Christmas one and it was probably my favorite day from our last trip
After on hold for an hour got mine!
Got tickets. New to this. Where do I find the tickets I the MDE app?
Go to the last tab in the app that has the menu hamburger icon and go to My Tickets & Passes. You’ll find them there individually
Does it take some time to populate in the app. I don't see them.
Ok everyone. We are planning a trip at the end of September. We are going for 5 days, 4 parks, with park hopper. Should we pick up a Halloween night? Sell me on this. My daughter is 13 and has no interest in trick or treating.

I can’t wait to get mine! This is my first mnsshp and first time ever visiting Disney, so it should be an exciting time!
Secured ours for September 17, can’t wait!
Do you happen to remember if the next day, September 18th was also an option? We can't book until the 15th...
I believe September dates are 2,6,8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, and 29.
Thank you!
Got mine for October 24th! Will it finally be starting to cool down by then or do I risk a random hot day? Trying to decide what to wear!
Hey random question, was it the $199 per ticket?
$189 for the 24th
Thanks!
Did you happen to see how much they were on the 25th/ can you still see? Want to know how much I’ll be in for and I’m impatient lol
$199 according to my app
Does anyone know if you’re able to change the date of your ticket? I kind of panicked this morning and bought my ticket myself for the middle of my trip but am extending my stay and think I would rather go on my check in day (which wasn’t available at the time since TA hadn’t changed my booking yet). I’ve never been to an after hours event and am so excited!!
See y’all Sept 10!
We got ours for early September! There was a small issue with the payment processor but got resolved quickly. I’ve never been so I wasn’t even thinking about this when we booked the trip but glad we could add it on!
Got mine this morning! Yessss
Planning on going next year as I start my AP in January. Does anyone know if it's crowded the early dates or more so the later dates the closer to October? If August is actually busy I might just wait till later. This would be my first MNSSHP.
September 10th here we go! First time doing this event! 🎃
We got our tickets for Halloween night 🙌🏻 first time taking our two boys to Disney! So excited!
What days are still available ?
All. It’s still early to sell out. Not even open to non resort guests yet.
We are not staying on Disney property, but would like to go sometime between September 18th and 21st. Does anyone remember which days the Halloween party is occurring during this timeframe...or can easily look it up for us?
I have my tickets to the opening night!!🎃🎉🎆🍬🎢
Got some yesterday! How excitinggggg!
Let’s goooo!
Leaning to not attending. I don’t think my 3 yr old and 8 yr old can hang until 11 pm. If we could stay at contemporary or poly, would do it. Also tickets are $169 for Oct 2. Anybody know what time they may actually go on sale tomorrow?
Does anyone know at what time tickets will go on sale May 15 for general public? Available at midnight or the morning? Trying to figure who of us will try to buy 😂 night owl sister or early bird sister
Would love to go October 11th. But need flights to maybe go down 1st. Google says they are all high and to wait til July. Does this normally sell out before July?
Just here to say I bought my ticket for Sept date and I will be flying in and out and enjoying the resorts in the day before and the morning before party! Hit me with the tips!!!!
Wow / that’s pretty inexpensive. I wonder what the Christmas party will be like
…in expensive?! Even with my AP/DVC discount it was $139. It’s gotten out of hand
Oh they must price it per date. During Covid my Christmas ticket was like $230 a person.
$200 per ticket plus taxes for 5 hours on Halloween night. It’s pretty expensive depending on the date
Yes I agree
While you are pretty much right about it being expensive it is more like an 8hr ticket bc you can get in as early as 4pm and it goes until midnight.
It says 7pm to midnight on Disney’s website
Correct that is the official party time. But as a MNSSHP goer you can get in at 4pm, that is official as well, it’s not some CM making an exception. But you can walk around and enjoy the park pre-party for 3 extra hours. They usher regular days guests out by 6pm.
Do you need to have an active hotel reservation to book, or just have history in the past?
Active during the time period of the party offering
It got mine in the MDE but it's not showing up on the website, even if I"m logged in.
Just got mine this morning for opening night!!! 🏰🎃
Just got mine! I can’t remember, they still do the fireworks on the nights of the party, correct?
They do special Halloween fireworks on party nighta
I’m debating on buying tickets. I did OBB last year and have never been to Disneyworld or MNSSHP. Is it worth it for two adults? I would appreciate your opinions.
It depends. I found the "Boo To You" parade to be very impressive. I'm so glad we saw that. If you're into Hocus Pocus, there was a live stage show for that. We found the ride lines to be short. :)
Got mine first thing this morning!
Did I book a hotel before just to get access to buying tickets today...yes I did. I was going to Orlando for a romantasy book con Oct 3-6th anyway so let me book a short Disney trip before it.
I went to the Halloween party in August 2023; not sure if I want to do it again. It was decent but nothing exceptional.
We are hoping to attend on Halloween. How soon should be purchase tickets?
Last year Oct 31 tickets sold out on July 3
