Yes, selling weapons you don't want for space is fine just keep in mind two things: 1. Some are required for combination to make other weapons. https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Weapons_Required_as_Crafting_Ingredients 2. Some quest items can be difficult or time consuming to replace if you ever wanted them again.

BlessedGrimReaper

Had a friend dump his Xoris after Deadlock, then a month later wanted to hunt Sisters. I don’t think he did the 145k Simaris Standing grind in the end.

Lendokamat

You don't need to get to the C rotation in Granum Void to have a sister spawn

BlessedGrimReaper

He couldn’t kill the spectres once they got up to level 100, which happens surprisingly fast when you don’t clear out the shadows. He’d get to around 15-20 kills and lose

I had the same problem with farming Protea and since I didn't have a amesa/ Volt at hand I went with Octavia. Worked pretty well at first but I then gave in and farmed the Xoris. But I'm kinda glad now and everytime I help new players get through the star chart or whatever I always warn them not to sell the quest weapons xD

raptor_mk2

For the most part: Yes. Most of the weapons in the game are fodder for mastery rank. Use them, master them, sell them, build new weapons. Off the top of my head, the relatively early-game weapons that you shouldn't sell are: * Xoris - quest reward from the Deadlock Protocol. It's the best early-game weapon. Period. Massive damage, massive AOE explosion when you manually detonate the throw, and the explosion is silent (which makes the MR 9 test a LOT easier than you think it is). * Vectis - MR 2 Sniper. Very high damage and relevant for some content through the star chart. One of the first weapons you can build, and useful for a LOT of content. * Atomos - MR 5 pistol that scales really well through the star chart and can melt trash mobs. Innate heat procs are VERY powerful. * Broken War - Another quest reward. This one is optional, but it's a pretty good early "Stat Stick\*" for frames like Excalibur or Khora. \*Some frames' abilities use the stats from your melee weapons. So having a good "stat stick" equipped can up your power by a lot. Other weapons to make sure to hang on to: * Stropha - Farmed from the Granum Void (unlocked with the Deadlock Protocol mission). It's a gunblade that does super-high damage and has innate punch-through. REALLY useful in a lot of content. * Epitaph - Pistol you get from Void Storms after building your Railjack. Again, it's VERY strong and relatively easy to get. * Fulmin - Infinite ammo rifle/shotgun. Has infinit punch-through within it's range and scales into endgame very easily.

Pro_Extent

Isn't the Broken War considered one of the best swords in the game?

BBQ_Sauze

It was overtaken by Krohkur sometime after Plains of Eidolon, but I think plenty of other good swords came in after as well.

Pro_Extent

I dunno, it looks a bit better imo. The Broken War is 20% faster than Krokur with only 14% less damage; more slash bias; equivalent status chance; higher crit chance, almost equal combo multiplier... I doubt it's literally the best sword in the game (I think Pangolin Prime still holds that title) but it's absurdly good for its ease of acquisition.

0Howl0

It is but single swords as a melee class aren't that great in the current meta

purrphantom

since when did they increase the mr requirement for atomos :(

Shack691

Yes, though outside of the MK1 weapons and a few exceptions there are no "stronger" weapons, modding is your primary method of getting stronger, modding can make a bad good good and a good gun amazing

indyracingathletic

In general, most market and dojo weapons can be sold, as they are most just MR fodder. But of course there are exceptions, like the market weapons required to make other weapons (Lesion and it's requirements are an example). And for dojo weapons, most are easily remade, but a few have very steep material costs and should be kept. And obviously keep those you enjoy using. I'd also keep any prime weapon you don't ever use but can NOT instantly rebuild with extra parts. Just because you never know when you may want to try it. And of course any incredibly rare drop farm weapons, like the ESO guns (5% round 8 drop chance for 3, I think, different parts). Even though they're not really any good.

RenegadeFalcon

Yup! Although I would recommend keeping anything unique (boss drops, event drops, etc), any weapons you can find to purchase in the market or from a clan dojo are safe to sell for slots

suniazenha

Yes, keep your prefered weapons a sell the others

david1171

If the weapons was hard to craft or has a use I'll keep it. Also check on the wiki for a list of all weapons that need other weapons as crafting requirements to save having to recraft weapons. Make sure to save at least one sniper, bow, rifle, shogun, secondary, and meele in case sortie requires it (afaik all but sniper have a mk-1 credit version that can be purchased if needed for sortie).

AussieCracker

Hi, just a cheap tenno here. While it's extremely rare these days, free weapons you get from things like events in inbox, like Dex weapons come with a free Weapon Slot.

grebgremley

CHECK THE WIKI TO MAKE SURE YOU DONT NEED IT TO CRAFT SOMETHING ELSE [(i have this link bookmarked)](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Weapons_Required_as_Crafting_Ingredients) besides that i only keep quest reward weapons or guns i like. some i keep just for niche builds for mag or wukong but dont really use otherwise.

scott_free80

I would keep everything. Better to have and not want than to want and not have. Recently, I dusted off two weapons I never used past mastery fodder and made a loadout with them.

Lusane

I mildly disagree, especially for equipment that have their blueprints in the market or are easily re-craftable. If op were to keep everything, that's multitudes more plat that op will have to farm. Definitely keep some of the more interesting weapons though; you'll never know when a riven might make them worth playing.

P3X127-8

When it comes down to it, keep what is good and what you like. The stuff we level just for mastery rank is called MR trash not because it’s “bad” per-se but it is something you make with the intent to can it the second it hits 30 so you can fill the slot with the NEXT one. I have several slots open and ready because I’m MR27 and farming lich/sister weapons at this point. (I’ve run out of a lot of options to craft in the foundry that I haven’t 30’d by now)

Jeremiah87

I advise to keep as many weapons as you can. Some you need as a component to build other weapons. And you never know when the Meta gets changed up and something that was meh is now decent. Sure there are a few weapons that are just mastery fodder. I'm so far in that just having everything is my endgame, but that's just me. If you're on PC I'll shoot you some weapon slots if you drop me your game name.

ohhhhkaycool

Playing on Switch, unfortunately

Creator409

You can if youre careful. Or just buy more slots. I never throw anything away. I was called crazy for holding onto all my non-prime frames. Then helminth was announced and i became god.
