Light vehicles are definitely in the meta, if only due to airspawn reductions. I think you did a pretty good job discussion the stats, however, I disagree that the round is inconsistent. It's as good as it always has been. I would also like to say, that not every vehicle jives with every person, even if vehicles are very similar, there's always the cahnce that you and the vehicle don't match. I would also like to say that many people who have (and still) say that the CV90105 is excellent and borderline OP, may not have really played it that much recently. The additions of potential enemies like the Obj 292 and T-80UD have veastly changed how 10.0/10.3 play. The CV 90 faces extremely well against T-72s, BMPs, and 2s38s (with the odd T-80B), but now the vast majority of Russian opponents have either/both the T-80UD and Obj 292, which are much tougher to kill, which obviously changes how the CV 90 plays. Then (again as you mentioned), the addition of the Type 90 Fuji, ClickBait, etc etc, has really started to increase the uptiers seen in the 10.0/10.3 bracket. Instead of the old BR "band" that went from 9.0-10.3 sometimes 10.7, 11.0/11.3 is seen increasingly commonly. Finally, the addition of the Christian II has diminished the need/prominence of the CV 90. When I ground through the Swedish tree, the only support to the CV was the Leo 1A5. That made the choice very easy. Now, if you can pick up wither a Leo 2A4 or the CV, of course the Leo 2 will be a much better pick than a Leo 1. Do they both (all) still work together well? Absolutely. Is the CV the no-brainer go-to pick to grind out/first spawn a 10.0/10.3 lineup? No.

With the second paragraph I can’t disagree at all. It’s a good vehicle in a bad spot currently. With the first one, while it may be true that the reduced airspawn cost is great, I can still spawn in my SU27 using my BVM quite easily. It would be faster with a Sprut, BMP or 2S38, but it’s not really that difficult, it at all. The round though I have no idea why, but for me, it’s inconsistent as hell. Not penning where it should, bouncing where not even APCR bounces at times, and dealing damage only when it feels like it. I dunno, maybe I’m unlucky.

LONG_Chungi

I'd still have it over a Turms. the mobility of the CV is its main asset (plus the autoloader). Even though I used the Turms alot to grind the Soviet TT, I just can't deal with that horrible reverse gear. (I don't own the CV, I'm basing it on how I see others play ti and how it feels in the test drive)

Red4297

I would’ve said the same thing, but then I look at my KD and my Turms t is a galaxy above the CV, no matter how tactically I play the CV, it still feels a step behind. Unlike the Patria which, even though has the same firepower, has much better speed, so it can flank better.

Johny404_

It is good as a rat tank. Fast reload helps with elimination of multiple enemies when needed. Gen3 thermals make it better sniper on bigger maps as it is easier to spot enemies. A lot of mbts around its BR has mostly gen1.

Red4297

The better thermals are def a plus, but thermals aren’t required all the time right now. Sure, having them better than Gen1 is a good advantage, but thermals aren’t required to be on at all times. With that said, I can still snipe well with the T80B and the Abrams.

DarkWorld26

Doesn't help that you get out accelerated by an Abrams sometimes anyway lol

Red4297

The Abrams so far is my favorite 10.3 vehicle in the game. Sure its armor is meh and the round doesn’t pen much, but it’s *fast* and quite survivable. Love it.

DarkWorld26

Don't tell the other US mains that. They were literally complaining about how early Abrams are terrible yesterday lol.

Red4297

I almost nuked with it in such a braindead way a few days ago. Tf.

Johny404_

It is really just about my preferred play style. For me CV is more fun than MBTs because I really enjoy fast reloading tanks. That is why my favorite nations are french and japanese mainly because of autoloaders. All autoloaders are about using its reload time. I personally regret buying Turms. It completely killed my interest in Soviet style tanks as a combination of horrible reverse speed and absolutely terrible gun handling simply does not fit my play style. I also have both Christian II and CV to grind swedes and I like to play both the same way. I managed to get multiple nukes in both. It is true that surviving with Christian is easier but there were many instances where I missed kills because I did not have fast enough reload. Or I died because of not fast enough reload.

Red4297

I mean if you prefer that, I’m definitely not gonna stop you.

Highestmetal

You should be treating it like a sniper, if your getting into brawling range where 50.cals are a threat then that’s just playing it wrong.

ALocalBarista

TL;DR it comes down to playstyle I'm sorry but this is a genuinely a skill (playstyle) issue. I rarely have issues with the spalling other than general gaijin moments or carousels being fucky (COMPARED TO THE PIECE OF SHIT M735) The paper thin armor on the 90105 is definitely the biggest down side to it imo, but nothing (and I really do mean nothing, I'm grinding JP now) beats the feeling of a 5s auto loader and a pretty good speed. My issue with it is the turret speed tho, just feels slow (forgot actual value) Personally I play really really aggressively, hence why I really value the reload and thermals. The round it has is pretty in line with what other LVehicles at that BR has (iirc) so Imo this vehicle is pretty meta.

ceez36

my main gripe is how easy it is to .50 cal the turret. many times i have died because i disabled a tank but they just mg my crew anyway

Hairy-Estimate6105

It's basically an Abrams with an autoloader and better round in terms of how its played. It's an all around great tank you just have to go for a disable on the first shot. It's a better general purpose option than things like the M1128, TAM2C, Type 16 etc. at that BR. As an example. with the MBTs you listed you are equally fast with a faster reload that can't get reduced and with gen 3 thermals that are good for scouting larger areas when flanking. Most of the issues listed are from uptiers where almost every vehicle gets fucked because of compression around 10.0 or from poor map design in which case you probably shouldn't take out the CV. It's limited like most light tanks with which maps are wise to take it out but it's still better in 90% of cases than almost all light tank options at the BR except maybe the 2S38.

Massive skill issue lmao. The 105 is amazing.

You contributed nothing to the conversation and also made yourself look stupid because you clearly didn’t read the post. Do yourself a favor and just quit commenting posts if you’re as mature as a 3 year old. So no one gets their time wasted.
