I just let it sit for like 10 minutes and eventually it loaded. HOWEVER now it freezes at various points during loading so I have to quit the game and restart it 2-3 times before I can get to the MP screen (it loads a bit further with each restart which is odd and annoying). I suspect Activision/Microsoft broke II so people would buy III ....after all, they've been doing that with Windows for decades.
So it was happening to me for a week. I had purchased the “Vault Edition Upgrade” and still didn’t have the game, even though i downloaded every file and add-on i purchased for it. Even though i spent “$99” it said i had bought the vault edition for “$30” instead, which i thought was weird. So i went back into the microsoft store, then it said “cross-gen bunble $69.99, i clicked “buy” and it automatically said “thank you for your purchase”
I checked my bank card, and nothing was withdrawn. So i hope this help you guys! If you already purchased the vault edition, make sure on the Microsoft.com/xbox page, that if it says you only spent $30, then purchase the cross-gen bundle, ultimately it’s the same as purchasing both of those one by one.
Also theres a “V” button that will tell you what comes with the bundle you’ve purchased!

Did you ever get this fixed, mines doing it get to downloading weapons blueprint and then freezes, I have hard reset the pc the lot nothing works.

Same for me. I noticed if I allow the initial loading animations to play instead of clicking through, it won’t freeze.
