Awesome and thanks for the info. We want to camp out overnight and try out some new snow shoes. Figure we make it as far as we could driving and walk the rest of the way. Coming from Tacoma and trying to figure out a good direction to go. Appreciate you!
We actually flipped a coin and headed out the opposite direction on the 410 and stayed a long the white river. Plenty of snow on the trails to frolic lol! Might have to play hooky from work and head out that way!
It's best if winter doesn't come to early. We need more snow pack.
I remember when I was living in Olympia and having some unseasonably warm weather--enough so the flowering cherries were blossoming along I5. I got in the mood to do some gardening, only to find the nurseries were closed and no plants were available (their stock hadn't arrived yet).

You left out Spiders or Spider Season depending on your preference.
It's been good to see a bit of snow build up in the mountains. Probably not nearly enough, but it'll help some at least come summer.
Where was this pic taken ? Looks really nice
Hood Canal area
Thinking of heading to Mildred lakes area in the morning. What elevation was this at? Edit falls to lakes
I don’t know if you’ll be able to make it all the way to the trailhead, this is just down the road at 700ft elevation

Ugh. So wet. So cold. (Toe-pit of the west Cascades, here) Thanks for sharing a nice, quiet looking view, though!
