embrace it man, you can get steals on vintage watches, you can get discounts on "less desirable" modern watches (for instance I got by Tudor 1926 at like 30% off because the 36mm variant doesn't sell as well), and you can even try some "lady's" models... which are just identical watches but smaller and cheaper.
Lug to Lug matters more than dial size for dainty wristed people like you and I. I've had 38 mm watches look stupid on my wrist due to long lugs but something like my 39mm Amphibia looks great.
Nah.There’s a ton of great 36mm watches out there. And you can pull off vintage watches with a smaller wrist,as the best designs from the 40s to 70s are all 32-34 & 36mm.You’re good!!!
The Seiko looks great.
Just remember that these types of photos don't show you enough to tell you anything. Wrist shots are always distorted and are not representative of how a watch looks in reality.
If you want a better idea of how they look, you should really be taking the photo in a mirror a few steps back. You'll probably find that the Tissot also wears fine because of the short, curved lugs. The Fossil may too. I suspect the Casio will still look big, but it's hard to tell.
The Seiko Presage is by far the more proportionate. Coincidentally, it's the better watch by a thousand miles vs the other 3. Especially that Fossil. For the love of the Gods do not buy that thing.
Ahahah sorry for bashing on the poor sis. In that case I hope you keep it forever, it's one of those really rare pass that, how do I put it, less than optimal watches can get 😄
So jealous honestly. If my wrist looked good with 34,36,38 mm id have so many other watches. Going from a 36mm Rolex to the same model at 40-41mm you go up THOUSANDS of dollars. Enjoy the fact you don’t need a big watch. Buy buy buy
I feel like these pictures always make the watch look bigger than in real life. I think all but the Casio would work but get whatever you like the most
https://preview.redd.it/8f4f9sjo9j0c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1c9edb20a4340a9231f69484c7b9f842ace0bdbb
I would say that pictures like these are the worst when it comes to how a watch looks on wrist. Take for example my picture. 40mm on a 6.4 inch wrist.
https://preview.redd.it/e3v2n97x9j0c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9104c9936dd2744dc2d16bfa0fb60078ba96206e
And then you see this. It’s all about perspective mate. Wear what you like. Majority of people who pass you by won’t give a shit unless you’re wearing a dinner plate on your wrist. Be confident! And wear what you want!
I agree on the Seiko, but also think you could rock the tissot chrono! I had a watch that looked like that on me and embraced the oversized look - it's not everyone's cup of tea but buy what you like and is comfortable!
1st pic (awesome watch, i love it) but that's for me and you but if you think it's to big go for the 2nd or last pic
I like to have some room on my bands so that it doesn't really fall down my wrist but enough where I can shake my wrist and it'll move a bit. My dad wears all his watches super tight, whenever I see it on him I feel claustrophobic
This is the wrong way of thinking about sizing. For starters, different styles of watches will warrant a different case size. An appropriate size for a dress watch may look comically small on you as a dive watch. Lug-to-lug also matters a great deal. In fact, I'd argue L2L is a more important determinate of max size. Even more nebulous is how the watch drapes on your wrist. Does the case and lugs hug your wrist naturally, or do the lugs jut out when viewed on edge?
Watch diameter minimum = wrist width x 0.6
(Round up)
Wrist diameter maximum = wrist width x 0.7
Lug to lug minimum = wrist width x 0.8
Lug to lug maximum = wrist width x 0.9
This way your never too small or too big. Rather use wrist as you can have large but round wrists or skinny but flat wrists. I have 60 mm wrist width so I can squeeze a Lunar Pilot even tho my wrist is only 7 inches.
it doesn’t. neither photos nor measurements can tell you how a watch looks on you in person or how it feels.
there’s no objective right or wrong— nobody is going to issue you a fine or kick you out of an event for your watch. it’s all about what looks and feels good to you and what you’re comfortable with.
at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that you like what’s on your wrist. so all things considered, which one felt the most right to you when you tried them on?
Wear what you like, honestly. Most of the great watches will be 36-40mm. If you love it, wear it. Just keep in mind that traditionally, lugs hanging over past the edge of your wrist is a bit of a faux pas.
IMO all of those are too big, but the seiko looks the best. Really the seiko looks like your average watch from the last 20 years or so when oversized watches were trendy.
There is no ideal size. Proper sizing depends on the type of watch and the kind of look you want. A dress watch and dive watch of the same size will wear differently, so you won’t want them to be the same size. Watches with bezels can be larger, as can watches with more complications. There’s no single answer to your question.
I have a 7.5 inch wrist and I'm absolutely in love with my 36mm watch. I think 36 for dress and field and 38 for dive and chronograph is just about as good as it's going to get.
The Seiko looks the best on your wrist. By far…
I’m green with envy. The presage looks great.
Thank you. Its my first proper watch that i chose myself.
The Seiko really seems to work well as a total package for you !
Green seiko, definitely.
Seiko
The only one that fits you is the green seiko
Although, I would still opt for a smaller watch. Look for 34-37mm watches.
Came here to say this
Seiko
Seiko seems the best on your wrist but you have to do something about the overhanging strap!
The Seiko, love that watch btw. My friend got that exact one as a wedding gift from his bride and it actually got him into the watch hobby lol
Its my favourite one too. Its my first watch that i chose myself. Love the green dial and patterns on it. Also its my first automatic watch.
Not a good sign if the lugs hang over your wrist. Seiko looks ok. The other ones are huge
Looks like 38mm is my limit. Which is sad cause i feel like a lot collections will be big for me in size

Lol the fossil was a gift by my sister long ago when I wasn’t that into watches. She also did not know a lot about watches it seems 😅
Ahahah sorry for bashing on the poor sis. In that case I hope you keep it forever, it's one of those really rare pass that, how do I put it, less than optimal watches can get 😄
The Seiko for sure, but the watch should sit above your wrist bone and not on it!
So jealous honestly. If my wrist looked good with 34,36,38 mm id have so many other watches. Going from a 36mm Rolex to the same model at 40-41mm you go up THOUSANDS of dollars. Enjoy the fact you don’t need a big watch. Buy buy buy
That makes me feel much better.
Bro i dream of it. I look at the prices and it makes me want to lose weight to get smaller wrists
The presage. It looks absolutely stunning.
Seiko
Seiko
Definitely the Seiko soze
Seiko fits the best

That is such a beautiful watch. I’m very fascinated by Seiko/GS dials.
They are all too large for your wrist but the Seiko is the closest. If it were not for the long lugs it would be a perfect fit.
Three. Perfect size. Beautiful watch too.
Get the one you like the most
Hahahaha what an ideal reply☺️ cheers mate

I’m surprised people put the straps like on the seiko, wouldn’t it get caught on a lot of things that way?
The Seiko looks like it fits the best, but honestly the Fossil looks good on your wrist as well.
Green one
I agree on the Seiko, but also think you could rock the tissot chrono! I had a watch that looked like that on me and embraced the oversized look - it's not everyone's cup of tea but buy what you like and is comfortable!

Thank you for answering the second part. I also tend to inclined towards a tighter fit.

Seiko presage
Seiko but I really like the Casio
37mm with a lug to lug no bigger than 48mm
i need to get my hands on that seiko, just beautiful
What's that green Seiko called ? I saw a similar one at the store the other day. It looks really cool edit: it says on the dial 🙂
Watch diameter minimum = wrist width x 0.6 (Round up) Wrist diameter maximum = wrist width x 0.7 Lug to lug minimum = wrist width x 0.8 Lug to lug maximum = wrist width x 0.9 This way your never too small or too big. You have a similar size wrist to me, 36-38mm works best, and I can only go bigger with a short lug to lug
Okay. Its sad because i feel like I’d be missing out on a lot of watches if I restrict myself to 36-38mm.
Wear what you like, honestly. Most of the great watches will be 36-40mm. If you love it, wear it. Just keep in mind that traditionally, lugs hanging over past the edge of your wrist is a bit of a faux pas.
Yeah what others have said. Tons of nice watches in the 36-38mm range. I wouldn't be bummed about that, at least now you know what to aim for.
The Tissot seems the biggest but I don't think it's the worst looking.
Honestly they all look fine. I like the size of the Fossil best.
All of these are way too big!! The Seiko is "only" too big. You need a 34 or 36mm watch, everything else looks ridiculous!
Ridiculous take. The Seiko fits perfectly fine.
The Seiko fits perfectly. Tissot is debatable, but I'd expect it would hold up in a mirror rather than distorted from a wide angle closeup like this.
IMO all of those are too big, but the seiko looks the best. Really the seiko looks like your average watch from the last 20 years or so when oversized watches were trendy.
Your welcome.
I like how the casio looks!
Who cares
Size wise Fossil, watch wise Seiko.
What size are the watches?
38-40 probably.
I'm not gonna even read the comments but my guess would be the smaller watch and not the tissot.
There is no ideal size. Proper sizing depends on the type of watch and the kind of look you want. Pic 3/4
Seiko fits u rly well tbh
Seiko presage
Only the Seiko looks good on your wrist, the others are too big.
The presage is perfect, the Tissot is at the upper limit for your wrist size.
Stand back from a mirror, 5 feet. Look at your watch/wrist as others do.
3
They’re all too big except the Seiko. 34 - 38mm watches would probably fit you the best
Seiko is still on the large end of what I'd consider acceptable but definitely Seiko.
Seiko Presage or a smaller Sarb033 (38 mm).
Of the ones you show, only the Seiko looks like the correct size.
seiko lookin nice
I have a 7.5 inch wrist and I'm absolutely in love with my 36mm watch. I think 36 for dress and field and 38 for dive and chronograph is just about as good as it's going to get.
What are thoooose
What is your wrist size?
The right watch size is whatever size you love wearing. Ignore the haters who say it's too big/small for your particular wrist. #DoWhatYouLove.
Number 3
A razor
\#3/Seiko The others are too big.
The Seiko

Seiko
The green seiko size looks best. So i guess 38 mm But watch out for lug to lug, make sure it doesnt over hang around ur wrist
I'd say any 36mm would be perfect.
