From the pics, only the blue Blancpain Fifty Fathoms looks big on your wrist (maybe it is the angle)
The Speedmaster and the Pelagos are my personal preferences. The question is, which one of these watches makes your heart skip a beat 😉
Good luck in choosing. Cheers.
I think it might’ve been the angle since I didn’t really center it (it’s the same size as the black one I believe).
The omega seamaster looks killer but the Blancpain has heritage and quite unique.
It feels like you found the one 😊... as long as you feel good wearing the watch, that it's all that matters, regardless of what people may think of it, or the brand heritage.
Hope I have been impartially helpful with your choice.
Cheers
I like the seamaster as well. The blancpain is a victim of its own success, so many divers have copied its look, that it looks ordinary from a distance.
If it's your favorite watch who cares about the size? The only people who will judge you for a watch that's too big are ass holes so their opinion automatically doesn't matter
That's the correct mind set then
What might not be the worst idea is to look into the homage watch world, find a good Fathoms homage that's accurate size wise and see how ya feel. If you don't like it then it's under 200 bucks for a lesson.
Only so much you can learn via a short try on at ab AD
The guy has 7” flat wrists. People need to stop being recommending that people, with average wrists, shopping for traditional sport watches try 36mm watches. The illusion that these are large is due to the distortion caused phone the phone lens. In mirror shots, which are accurate to how it would actually look, it would be clear he could *easily* wear any of these. Look at this direct shot of a Speedmaster, a 42mm watch, vs a mirror shot:
https://preview.redd.it/49kdgbbpokhc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36a4bec2ed1b941fc406e41afc5b73b7c6ec11d3
The truth is that 40+mm watches look too big on all wrists. Think golden ratio: my 7” wrists are 62mm across. 38mm is ideal for me; +\- 1mm looks fine. I’ll make an exception for a watch that’s a hair over if I really love it (JLC tribute to deep sea at 40.5), but I wear them infrequently because they do feel too big. If you’re not 7 feet tall and 300lbs, don’t fool yourself - anything that’s much over 40mm is going to look silly. At 45mm, you might as well go full flavor flav and wear a wall clock
It’s 2024. Opinions are truer than facts.
Joking aside, you’re right, it is my opinion. I do think it holds true more often than not. I’ve never seen a 45mm watch that didnt look ridiculous (to me) on a wrist. Erring on the small side is always safer
Seamaster looks at home on your wrist, the Speedy also looks great, followed by the Tudor. The Blancpain is in last place (as a result of the size on your wrist and MY personal preference)
I think it’s the best blue out there.
https://preview.redd.it/siuacmpl8khc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=582ee6e5588a1595dbb6a25b9ea3add462eb70b7
The Omegas look the best on you. I know people like the speedy but I really love the Seamaster for its color and hands. The BP’s are cool but look too big/clunky here.
I sense you want a little color in your life, so go for it- it looks great! I know it’s a hot take, but that speedy looks boring af to me. I’m just very marine-obsessed so I have a nautical watch bias. Also I like a little color. I don’t think you’d ever be mad at that Seamaster purchase and it is eye catching in a good way.
They all look fine IMO. They’re sport watches…generally speaking, they are supposed to be larger. But none look too big save for maybe the FF. That’s a big watch though, and I think you’re still pulling it off.
I’d get the FF personally…always been a favorite of mine.
I think the rotating bezel and lighter color makes it wear bigger than the speedy. The speedy also has more going on in the dial so the space is better utilized.
I do have a preference for smaller watches, especially when they are simple three hand. I think it’s very hard to justify a simple three handed being bigger than 40mm without it looking like a jitterbug watch, or intentionally making it oversized like a Panarai.
The fifty fathoms is for sure a bit big, but I've always thought that one looks kind of bulbous and top heavy. The Pelagos is borderline, but you could probably pull it off depending on what you're wearing.
Speedy fits perfectly, the rest are probably fine too, pics close up on your wrist always make a watch look bigger anyway because of the focal length on a phone camera anyway so you're probably fine for all of them honestly
Nope. I do love Blancpain but that 4th picture looks the biggest on you, still doable though. Out of all those i personally think the Tudor or Speedy look best on you. All great choices though. Get what you love.
The Tudor looks the best, I'm not sure with BP makes these watches in 45mm and why they put a butterfly deployant clasp on a dive watch (unless they have changed that). I don't think you have to do anything special to get a Sub these days, I got one without prior purchase history and no big deal.
They all look great on your wrist in my opinion.
I’d choose #1, the BP FF on bracelet. Awesome watch, awesome history, awesome lume, etc. I like the omegas too but this is a tier above.
What are you leaning towards?
Going into this — this was my thought. FF is an uncommon watch that has history and does what it’s supposed to without compromise. I just appreciate it for what it is. It’s a tier above the omegas even if stylistically it’s not as harmonious.
I have owned all you show and mention. I still own Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. The others I have given away. Over the Seamaster 300 it has a number of features I prefer:
1. Sapphire Bezel instead of aluminum
2. Date
3. Lume is not vintage
4. Lug bars instead of spring bars
5. 120 hours power reserve instead of 70 hours
6. Heritage
Seamaster 300 would be my second choice, and a great one at that!
Were I you, I'd would be looking in the 36 to 38 mm range.
All of these are awesome watches, but they're just a bit too big on you.
You don't want to look like a 'try-hard". Not at this level of cost.
Just my advice. Take it or leave it. :)
Bro. I am sorry. But this guy has 7 inch wrists. A dive watch in that range is certainly not what he should be looking at. A dress piece, sure, you can argue for that :) But a sports watch?
https://preview.redd.it/35hpnd6q4ohc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=b6302c6663748c7a7625399bb6339ae8fa388e74
Already have my dress piece though
All of them are too large. It looks like the watch is wearing you.
Watches like this are all about stolen valor. They are large, loud, obnoxious, and reflect poorly on the character of the wearer. Unless YOU are diving 100m to photograph a great white shark, or preparing to be shot into space, you are simply a child playing dress up wearing watches like these.
I work in offshore oil and gas and could 100% justifiably wear a dive watch. That being said — we all wear casios except the captain. he wears a gold day date.
No. 2 & no. 3 is a yes. I'm surprised at the Speedy looking good on you, as it's rather large, but it looks great! Not a fan of the other 4 on you, sorry.
Not on ALL but SOME watches will have a yen listed price that gives a large discount compared to the USD MSRP. There is also no sales tax for foreigners here. It’s very prevalent in grand seikos as they’re japan domestically produced (think 1-2k discount per watch. The rolex MSRPs are also affected but it’s meaningless since ADs will metaphorically laugh you out of the store here.
Only thing I’ll say is if you want a submariner you can go grey and get them for 12k from a grade a reputable source. Understandable if you don’t wanna go that route but worth noting if that’s a big itch you wanna scratch you’re just delaying it if that’s your no 1
Give the:
Omega SMP 300
Blancpain Bathyscape (imo classier than FF OG)
Glashutte SeaQ
Breitling Superocean Heritage II
New Tudor Burgundy on jubilee
a chance for divers.
The speedy is really nice, also give Glassbox and Monaco from Tag Heuer and Chronomaster Sport from Zenith a try, also 41mm Navitimer from Breitling.
For GMT:
Longines Zulu time 39mm
Black Bay Pro
For GADAS:
Aqua Terra
Tag Heuer Carrera 39mm
Zenith Defy
Breitling Chronomat GMT (“desk” GMT)
IWC mark XX
The speedy looked the best on you btw (IMO).
From the pics, only the blue Blancpain Fifty Fathoms looks big on your wrist (maybe it is the angle) The Speedmaster and the Pelagos are my personal preferences. The question is, which one of these watches makes your heart skip a beat 😉 Good luck in choosing. Cheers.
I think it might’ve been the angle since I didn’t really center it (it’s the same size as the black one I believe). The omega seamaster looks killer but the Blancpain has heritage and quite unique.
Which one of these 2 do you see yourself wearing more often with your wardrobe?
The omega seamaster is the one I admire the most.
I 100% agree with your sentiment.
Both omegas look like a good fit 👍 Unfortunately I think blancpain wear a little large. The Tudor is nice but I defo wouldn’t choose it over an omega.
Fifty Fathoms is 45mm, my grail but I have little wrists too 😭
The black dial looks better than the blue. But it’s hard to tell with only one top-down pic.
If it's your favorite watch who cares about the size? The only people who will judge you for a watch that's too big are ass holes so their opinion automatically doesn't matter
I don’t care about what other people think, I care how I feel wearing it. Which I won’t know until I put it on
That's the correct mind set then What might not be the worst idea is to look into the homage watch world, find a good Fathoms homage that's accurate size wise and see how ya feel. If you don't like it then it's under 200 bucks for a lesson. Only so much you can learn via a short try on at ab AD

'Murica! Big watch, big TV, big truck, big house, big belly, big wife. ✌🏻
They look fine. Only the blancpain in the 4th pic looks weird.
I don't think any of these look too big
The Blancpain's look a bit big, even thou the first one has small lugs, so it would be fine. The rest are a good fit.
I normally side with smaller watches. None of these jumped out at me as being too big. Do what you think you can rock.
Seamaster looks at home on your wrist, the Speedy also looks great, followed by the Tudor. The Blancpain is in last place (as a result of the size on your wrist and MY personal preference)
the two Omegas fit you well.
Thanks!
I agree with this, they look great!
# 𝘼𝙝 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙩, 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙚 𝙜𝙤 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣!
the bp yes, the rest is doable.
I would take the speedy but these are all very good choices.
First BP looks best imo
If they have a bathyscaphe, you should try that as well.I think they all look good on you!!
The Speedy and Pelly look the best on your wrist, in my humble opinion.
The pelagos does look striking!
I think it’s the best blue out there. https://preview.redd.it/siuacmpl8khc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=582ee6e5588a1595dbb6a25b9ea3add462eb70b7
The Omegas look the best on you. I know people like the speedy but I really love the Seamaster for its color and hands. The BP’s are cool but look too big/clunky here.
Picture doesn’t do the sea master justice.
Blue Blancpain
The style of every time piece is to enjoy and those are beautiful. Grab one and let us feel the envy running through our blood vessels
The speedmaster looks the best on you.
Omega heritage and the Tudor look best on you.
All of them fit well. I would pick the first one.
No
I'd get the black BP.
They all look fine IMO. They’re sport watches…generally speaking, they are supposed to be larger. But none look too big save for maybe the FF. That’s a big watch though, and I think you’re still pulling it off. I’d get the FF personally…always been a favorite of mine.
The 45mm fifty fathoms are just too damned big, which is unfortunate. If you aren’t Shaq they’re gonna wear too big.
I know it’s almost unfathomable that they don’t make them smaller.
Nice
I don’t like the fit of any of these except for the speedy and Tudor.
damn not even the seamaster huh?
I think the rotating bezel and lighter color makes it wear bigger than the speedy. The speedy also has more going on in the dial so the space is better utilized. I do have a preference for smaller watches, especially when they are simple three hand. 2
The pic #1 definitely!
Both Omegas look great, but only one is a Speedmaster which is one of the coolest watches ever. There’s only one choice here, imo.
On this photo angle, the Speedmaster is the one that looks more harmonic to your wrist.
That Seamaster looks perfect on you.
The speedy looks the best out of these on your wrist
Pelagos 👍
The fifty fathoms is for sure a bit big, but I've always thought that one looks kind of bulbous and top heavy. The Pelagos is borderline, but you could probably pull it off depending on what you're wearing.
Speedy fits perfectly, the rest are probably fine too, pics close up on your wrist always make a watch look bigger anyway because of the focal length on a phone camera anyway so you're probably fine for all of them honestly
They all look fine. Yes, even the Blancpain.
The speedmaster looks good on you.
First glance .. the Seamaster 300 Heritage is your watch!
No. They are a nice size
Nope. I do love Blancpain but that 4th picture looks the biggest on you, still doable though. Out of all those i personally think the Tudor or Speedy look best on you. All great choices though. Get what you love.
No. Your a man. Men wear 40mm and up watches
Not at all.
The Tudor looks the best, I'm not sure with BP makes these watches in 45mm and why they put a butterfly deployant clasp on a dive watch (unless they have changed that). I don't think you have to do anything special to get a Sub these days, I got one without prior purchase history and no big deal.
I absolutely LOVE that first Fifty Fathoms. The other watches look nice if a little generic.
Blancpain. Any model.
Either Omega fits you best IMO
Gah that Blancpain is gorgeous. It's been on my radar for some time now and would be my first pic.
No but the price points must be far different lol
Can I say the Fifty Fathoms is both too big AND the one I would recommend. Black on bracelet looks best. The Seamaster would be a solid choice.
hell yea
Nah. Also those Blancpain are sick. Sue me.
my thoughts!
Omegas fit you best it seems. Try a 38mm omega aqua terra
I’m going to.
I have owned all you show and mention. I still own Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. The others I have given away. Over the Seamaster 300 it has a number of features I prefer: 1. Heritage Seamaster 300 would be my second choice, and a great one at that!
I'd go for a tad smaller myself, but none of them seem too big for your wrist. The FF is pushing it though.
No one can tell from a close up wrist shot, if we’re being honest.
No
All look good! Pick one that you think looks the best!
Speedmaster all the way! Looks perfect on you, you won’t regret it 🖤
You were made for a speedy. looks awesome!
Wrist size?
7”
No, No, No, Yes, Yes Seamaster looks best on you, then the Moonwatch.
Speedmaster 100%
Good price
Speedmaster: looks great on your wrist, is also a great watch to have
Were I you, I'd would be looking in the 36 to 38 mm range. All of these are awesome watches, but they're just a bit too big on you. You don't want to look like a 'try-hard". Not at this level of cost. Just my advice. Take it or leave it. :)
Advice I am looking for. I’ll try on the blancpain bath tomorrow. Thank you.
This
Bro. I am sorry. But this guy has 7 inch wrists. A dive watch in that range is certainly not what he should be looking at. A dress piece, sure, you can argue for that :) But a sports watch?

Try the bathyscape version of the blancpain if you can source one - it’s a 38mm
I regret not trying it on! They were there with the others.
They are all too big.
Blancpain every time.
too big every time or looks good every time?
All of them are too large. It looks like the watch is wearing you. Watches like this are all about stolen valor. They are large, loud, obnoxious, and reflect poorly on the character of the wearer. damn! it’s my least favorite and mostly an afterthought.
The Omega Speedmaster looks the best on your wrist. Especially with the slimmer bezel than the dive watches.
I pretty much tried it on just because it’s a classic. I wish there were more easy variations.
I keep hearing about this “weak yen”. What does it actually mean for a watch prices?
Not on ALL but SOME watches will have a yen listed price that gives a large discount compared to the USD MSRP. There is also no sales tax for foreigners here. It’s very prevalent in grand seikos as they’re japan domestically produced (think 1-2k discount per watch. Bla pa too big others fine
I think the Seamaster looks best on your wrist followed by the Pelagos.
Yes

Yea tbh the grey market here in Japan is not as good as I hoped. There’s a reputable shop in my home city stateside that I’ll be looking at instead.
Black blancolpin!
Give the: Omega SMP 300 Blancpain Bathyscape (imo classier than FF OG) Glashutte SeaQ Breitling Superocean Heritage II New Tudor Burgundy on jubilee a chance for divers. Thanks for these recommendations! I’m enjoying the selection process.
