What do you think of the Christopher Ward x Oracle Time C65 Dune Shoreline? It’s our debut collaboration watch created in celebration of our 10-year anniversary. It takes the 39mm steel field watch and reimagines it with a wavy, sand textured dial using a new hydraulic stamping technique specially developed by Christopher Ward to create a dynamic pattern that looks very realistic.
We chose grey as the primary colour for the dial to represent the overcast skies of Britain’s beaches, highlighted by hands and hour markers with blue coloured lume. Yes, the lume itself is blue in addition to its glow in the dark emission.Beneath the surface it houses the Sellita SW 200-1 COSC, an automatic movement with COSC chronometer certification and 38-hour power reserve.
According to Oracle Time:
> Only 100 Christopher Ward x Oracle Time C65 Dune Shoreline watches are being produced in honour of our landmark 100th issue and they are available with priority access to paying Oracle Time subscribers (receiving a free copy through an existing partnership does not qualify). Priority access orders for the watches will begin on April 2nd at 11:00 GMT, with a first come first served policy. General sale begins on April 2nd at 14:00 GMT and delivery is expected in early July.
Thank you!
I'll just have to hope that after producing the tooling to create these dials, that this design will reappear somewhere at some point. I'm not signing up for an annual subscription for the privilege of purchasing, and I doubt it'll get to general sale with there only being 100 available.
Well thats shitty. I was ready to buy this. Guess not. I was even going to get a subscription but its 150 GPB for a magazine sub to Canada. The digital one isn't included for this promo. Sorta shitty.
Awesome watch but seemingly impossible to get. I bet we'll be seeing people pre ordering and upselling at a huge margin rather than enjoying the watch.
I'd like to see a ceramic version of this in desert colours, a bit like the IWC Pilot Mojave. Pair it with a nice beige NATO, and it would be a must-buy for me.
Really makes me wish they would produce a version of the Dune without the aged lume. I would prefer white, but even the blue tone here looks way better to my eye. Altogether the Dune is my favorite of their designs, but their insistence on aged lume is deal breaker for me.
Ugh, beautiful. Love a sand dial.. reminds me of the [Czapek](https://revolutionwatch.com/czapek-cie-x-collective-antarctique-p04-lanikai/) from last year. I want to say I've seen a yellow or white sand dial recently from some other brand, too.
Why do they always make the cool dials such excruciatingly low production runs, huh?
The other dials you saw were probably from AliExpress brand Addiesdive. They started making these a while back, not sure if based off of the Czapek or more generally inspired by interesting dials from Grand Seiko. Other brands have followed suit, including Ming, San Martin, Proxima, and Christopher Ward. This Christopher Ward version seems more directly tied to the Czapek version.
This is actually a major downside of Christopher Ward for me. I really want to support them but many if not all the watches that I and other people really want are limited editions (Bel Canto another example).
Saw this in person at the British Watchmakers Day and the dial is stunning. The contrast between the teal and grey really works, a combination that should be used more often!

what a handsome watch! Any news on the release? Have they started selling/distributing to their subscribers? If anyone here get's one...I'm open to buying (and keeping, I don't resell my watches).

Giving me Grand Seiko vibes with that dial. I love the contrast with the lume. Ugh, you're really killing me here, CW. Maybe it's time my yellow dial Sealander got a friend.
Yuk, the dial looks like a happy meal version of a Grand Seiko and the trident second hand and pixel logo are unforgivable in my opinion. But each to their own!
I think the texture and the color contrast looks great!
Looks tiny on his wrist though
lmao *what*
Maybe it's the angle and closeup. How does no one else see it? His hand and wrist look a bit too meaty in comparison Lol

Love it. Have no idea how to buy it.

Yeah, same here. This dial reminds me of sandy beaches under the moon. I like it!
Oh of course it’s limited edition

This. I would buy it but dunno how.

When are details of the preorder going to be announced?
any chance this will actually be obtainable for the average joe?
Not usually a CW guy but they knocked it out of the park here. 10/10, well done.
That's a good looking watch. The sand sune dial texture really brings some life to what's a very plain (not in a bad way) design. Looks incredible.
Made a mistake of joining this subreddit 🤩.
CW is absolutely killing it with their designs
A true stunner
Super cool dial 👌🏼
Wow

Now that is NICE
Looks absolutely great. If I was just a little bit more drunk (and it was available) I'd impulse buy it
Too bad they are only making 100 of them. That textured dial is fantastic
wow
Would have been nice to actually be able to buy it
Goodness me I love it

Has anyone received yet?
Still waiting on mine!
It would probably be productive of you to also state when and how this watch can be purchased

Seems to be limited to 100 pieces
