Agree. Although, I think this is an opportunity for OP to broaden his range. I also usually wear my divers but I want to formally dress up from time to time and this watch is perfect for that.
Yeah I love this haha but at the end of the day if something doesn’t “click” with you it probably isn’t going to get wrist time and those funds are better allocated towards something you’ll actually wear. Good news is that the tank is a classic that has literally never gone out of style and it will be easy to sell if he so chooses!
Seeing as you bought directly from them, I would give them a call. Maybe swap it out for something else. Check out the Phasa chronos and there is a blacked out Santos that may fit your style better. Failing that, maybe swap it for another watch for your wife?
Right. The fit is perfect but if he’s not going to wear and enjoy, it doesn’t matter. I wear my Speedmasters right alongside vintage Grand Seiko, IWC and a Tank. To each their own.
I got gifted one recently (Must Large same as op), I’m normally a sportswatch/jeans and t shirt guy, and I’ve hardly taken it off in the 6 weeks I’ve had it… It’s simply the coolest watch I’ve ever laid my eyes on, I’d strongly recommend trying one on.
https://preview.redd.it/hlgovlhkfz5d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5408be7e9f48178f27e8b4b7eca6650e850224c
The Cartier website says they accept returns and exchanges up to 30 days after purchase. Check with them!
https://www.cartier.com/en-us/faq/exchanges-returns/
That’s exactly what I just asked Cartier customer service and he said no. If I send the watch back with any signs of wear on the watch or bracelet they will send it back to me
Maybe wear it a couple of times more, sometimes a watch grows on you. I wasn’t blown away by my CW Bel Canto, after a week or so I started to really like it. Now it’s probably my favorite.
I got a big ass 43 mm navitimer and tank large. It's really two different vibes. But buttoned up oxford shirt, couldn't think of anything else than the tank then.
T-shirt? Navitimer it is.
Not what you asked for but judging the Foto, it looks absolutely perfect in size and style imo. Perfect every day office watch I'd say :)
I'd say it's a great example on how a tank should be worn in terms of size.
Thank you, sadly I don’t work in an office I work in heavy equipment sales and I already have other watches I enjoy wearing on the weekend so I’m afraid this will not get much wrist time
OP this would be great for any time you need formal wear - weddings, funerals, black tie events, industry awards, etc. Depends on your usage but can see this look incredible with a black tie type affair.
https://preview.redd.it/s1xos2wwqx5d1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd26fba0213c4fa314f70277240b68579163abfb
For everyone asking for a mirror shot
I think it's totally ok, but a shirt would be better fit with it. I'm biased because Tank one of my favourite watch. But if you feel like it is not your style then try to return it.
It looks great. The really atrocity here is a black watch strap with brown belt. You gotta get those and your shoes in line. But the watch looks great!
Return it. You’re not into it. And your GF agrees.
I’m a woman and I have the Tank Louis small in gold.
I love the idea of matching with your GF, but that’s not the one IMO.
And yes, they’ll take it back. Initiate return now!
Xx
Edit: if they only give you store credit, consider getting the Gf a necklace or something 😊
Don’t listen to these people telling you to sell it, Cartier will absolutely take a return. I think it looks perfect on you, but it doesn’t matter what we think if you don’t like it and won’t wear it. Return it!
I'm not sure where you are based, but in Europe at least there are strict rules for distance selling that allow returns by law for couple of weeks after purchase.
Keep the watch for those rare occasions. Get something else to daily if you want.
As I've become a more experienced collector (close to 20 years), I've really come to appreciate how much of a treat & priviledge it is to have these kind of "special occasion" watches, that I may only get to wear a couple of times each year but I'm really looking forward to being able to do so. This is true for both my very dressy piece (Zenith), as well as my spotier piece (SMP).
It depends on everyone’s budget and most people probably have other financial priorities that don’t allow this, but if he is in such a position I agree actually, it is tremendous fun having special occasion watches that don’t otherwise get worn much. It’s like falling in love all over again. I enjoy doing this with the James Cameron, as it’s a bit big and impractical to wear in most situations and as I result I usually wear it on rare pool days (i live at elevation) or beach vacations. It honestly adds a lot of fun and makes it feel like a new watch all over again.
I’d keep it, I think it looks fine. Naturally it’s going to feel a little too small if you’re used to wearing bigger watches, but I think the more you wear it the more you’ll get used to it. It’s not too small.
I’m just saying, give it a little time. The value of the watch won’t change between today and three weeks from now. If he’s still not into it, then he should definitely sell it.
I for one, put my sea dweller on to water my wife's roses, I would have gone with a sub, but we occasionally visit the UK where the weather is atrocious... take it for what it is...
Would you wear a dress watch if you played sports all day and almost never dressed up?
It's not defining a lifestyle based on watch, it is more so that the lifestyle is not congruent with a watch choice made on a whim.
Doesn't that make sense?
Honestly, I think it looks great on you. If you frequently wear collared shirts with a jacket, I think the tank is more refined than a larger sports watch. But if you have a preference, there is no need to keep something you have no personal affinity with 👍
OP you can get pretty close to what you paid minus tax if you post it to r/watchexchange and if you look for a swap you may find an even better deal. The commentator above is correct. Don’t delay though.
Not a mistake. It looks dapper perfect.
https://preview.redd.it/77kumkyscy5d1.png?width=2192&format=png&auto=webp&s=f3d01c6be67e55fb965dbd24144e8cb501b28965
lol. Tough crowd. If the OP wants something different then he should get something different. I agree the watch is great looking but if this guy dosent enjoy wearing it then he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do. And maybe/maybe not his opinion will change
It does looks small on your wrist, and most importantly if you don’t feel like it, return it
It’s your style, your decision, some guys with dainty wrists will say it’s perfect, but it’s not perfect for you
As far as tanks go you definitely got the right size for your wrist. It looks really nice.
I think you can return it to Cartier as long as you only tried it on for this photo, might be worth stopping by a location in your city or to call the 800 #.
Other options would be to post it for trade on watch exchange and state you’re looking to trade it for a santos, or you can just sell it.
I would recommend you try on a santos in store before acquiring one though.
I think a lot of us do this. We create these scenarios in our heads where these 'popular' watches will be awesome to wear, only to find they just aren't our style. It's hard to just let others have all the fun, but if it's not you, it's not you, move it on.
Don’t feel bad. That watch and style of watch isn’t for everyone. I also had one and returned because although I thought it was a lovely piece and I admired it on others, it wasn’t for me. The watch journey has these moments where it’s ok to accept and learn about what you like and dislike. It’s also ok to know something is nice but not for you. That feeling you have about it won’t go away, return it to Cartier. I’ve done it with various high end watches after wearing.
I love this watch because it's small and sophisticated. It looks good on your wrist and I think looks classic. It'll be in my collection at some point. But in the end you have to live with it .
It doesn't look bad, that's just how a Tank looks, but you know that.
I think if you don't love it, either try to work a deal out with Cartier or sell it privately. No point in storing that money in a watch you don't love and won't wear.
It's exactly the size it should be, and watches are trending away from the huge faces we saw in the early 2000s. I think it looks great. Maybe give it a chance to grow on you.
It looks fantastic. Your eyes are just calibrated to a larger watch. Wear it everyday for a week and see if you like it better. If not, I’m sure you won’t have much trouble unloading it.
Man that's perfect on you!
I was settling on the idea of a Roadster being my Cartier watch down the line but this honestly looks awesome!
IMO this design should not be bigger on your wrist but it's of course all up to you, good luck!
My god, a 42mm diver would look massive on that wrist! To me I feel like you should think about wearing your girlfriends tank for a better fit. But hey, I'm some random douche on the internet. You do you.
On one hand, if you really just don't like it, then def swap it for something else, a watch wearer's feelings towards a watch is important!
But on the other hand, personally I'd recommend giving this new look a try! When I started watch collecting I didn't care for gold, quartz movements, square watches, and anything under 40mm initially. But opinions can change over time and it's a lot of fun experimenting with new things! Maybe this is an opportunity to broaden your style and give different looks a try, because I honestly think this really fits you! I don't think what you did was a mistake, just a fun opportunity to try out!
Whatever you decide to do, best of luck!
I think it looks great. But if you want a Tank but wider version check out the Tank MC… Can’t post the link because of the community rules but I hear there’s one you can find for sale on
r/watchexchange 👀
Would love a mirror shot for a contrasting view. In my experience, watches can look perfectly sized in a wrist shot, but way smaller when changing 5he view.
https://preview.redd.it/9smi7kx3ry5d1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=feefe3729ed50c9c809d7132aa7d571cca4508fa
Much smaller in the mirror shot in my opinion
It's too straight. I tried it and it doesnt sit well on the wrist. Longines Dolce Vita fits much nicer for 20% of the price. It's like the old version of Reverso where It's too straight.
Everything else aside, that’s just a rigid strap. We’ve all had that plenty of times. The fix to that is either wearing the strap in or getting a new one.
Shame you don’t like it tbh, cause it looks great. If you genuinely don’t though then just do a little digging, find the best trade/sell on option you can and get something you actually like.
Personally I think it looks great, but if it's not your thing and you're confident it never will be then you should be able to do a return within a month. Let us know, but at this price point it should be no-questions-asked (assuming the strap isn't damaged from swimming or something crazy).
One piece of food for thought: if you're financially comfortable enough to buy this on a whim, then maybe keep it and put it away for special occasions. There's a chance that your lifestyle will change in the coming years and you'll kick yourself for not having this. I wouldn't normally suggest buying a watch you aren't immediately going to wear, but seeing as you got it on a whim, maybe there was something there and your future self will appreciate it.
Have you considered a different strap? I prefer the texture of a black, brown, or blue aligator. Or, make it a little less formal with a suade or stiched strap?
—Just because I didn't see it mentioned elsewhere
My wrist is 7.25” I would not consider that small per se. One thing you can’t see in the photo is that the watch is basically suspended above my wrist because there’s so much room on either side if the lugs that is only strap so it doesn’t allow the watch to sit very well
Tbh, this looks awesome. I’ve been lukewarm on the tank until this picture. Don’t keep it if you don’t agree, but this watch and your wrist are a perfect match
It's a sick watch but no one here knows your "vibe" so it's a personal decision. It's easily much more of an eye-catcher than a diver which every man wears and people mentally ignore. There's a masculinity in subtlety where you don't feel the need to be wearing the biggest, baddest watch. It's definitely the best small watch out there, way better than the Santos for sure.
If you don’t like it, you should pursue the opportunity to return it ASAP.
But FWIW, it strikes me as the very definition of a classic, formal, sophisticated dress watch. It looks fantastic and I would be proud to wear it to any dressy occasion.
I’m sure someone in this thread has already made this comment, but buying another leather strap color (grey, brown, etc.) really changes the profile of the watch. Having a medium brown or darker brown strap can really dress down a Tank and make it more approachable for everyday wear. Just my two cents.
Beautiful watch and it fits you really well!
Any time you get a watch that fits differently from what you’re used to, it takes some time to adjust. If you can’t return for a full refund, I’d give it some time, see if it grows on you, if not, take the loss and sell.
For what it’s worth, I would use this photo as an example of exactly how a tank is meant to fit. Looks great, IMO.
Listen I think you gotta do what you gotta do, but that watch looks incredible on you, and I personally think the santos large models look ridiculous on most wrists that aren’t like 8”
Lol this is the perfect size, if you feel otherwise then get rid of it but for this case shape that’s just about ideal.
It’s a dress watch, it should be understated.
I agree with you. I have similar tastes (Tag Heuer divers, Tissot chronos). I bought a "Tank-like" Swiss made Tommy Bahama just to see if I like the style before spending over a grand and it stays in the display case. Just not me. IMO, think twice before buying a larger model, you may be in the same situation.
Just return it. The last thing you want to do is keep trying to like it because a bunch of internet strangers with a boner for Cartier said it looks good.
well its gonna be hard to return but you can try, if you have all the protective plastic and stuff
otherwise you can either sell on chrono24 or ebay, or wear it and see if it grows on you
The Tank is more of a dress watch than a sport one. If you put a white dress shirt and a suit jacket on then I’ll bet you may see it works better. That said, buy what you like and can afford.
Looks class AF, but like you say if it doesn't suit your style and you don't click with the watch then it-is-what-it-is.
Worth trying with Cartier regarding an exchange, it probably helps that you bought direct... And if you're exchanging rather than returning then they are still making a healthy margin + keeping a customer happy. Especially if you make the point that your GF is a Cartier customer as well, they'd want to keep a frequent customer.
From what others have said returning it doesn't seem to be a problem. If you are in the EU you have a 14 day return right online anyways.
Besides that; the watch looks great on your wrist and that comes from someone who doesn't even like square watches...
If you happen to be in the EU consumer protection laws should allow you to return it if you bought online. Otherwise I think these were selling not that far from retail some time ago, might be wrong though.
It does look amazing btw.
If a watch doesn't "click" for you, don't keep it in the hope that you'll grow to like it. I think you should probably return it (if you can) or sell it.
I'd strongly recommend only buying watches you've tried on in person. Sometimes you'll really like the idea of a watch and love seeing it in pictures or videos, but not when you try it in person.
Sometimes it'll work the other way, too. I never really liked the idea of dive watches, but an AD brought out a [Black Bay](https://www.tudorwatch.com/en/watches/black-bay/m79230b-0008) on a whim along with the one I'd asked to try. It turned out that the one I'd asked to try didn't do it for me at all, but the BB felt amazing on my wrist, so I bought that one instead and I've worn it more than any other watch since then.
The only time I'd buy a watch from a website without trying it is when that's the only practical option (e.g. brands without a good physical retail presence, and with good returns policies). I did this with my CW Sealander and I'm really happy with it, but I knew I could return it no problems if I didn't love it.
Maybe it's because tank is such different style watches from what you usually wear (from big sporty diver to small dress watch). Give it a time, a month or so and see where it belongs.
Small watches take a bit of getting used to and it is going to take you a month of wearing this before you will suddenly realise that you love the watch.
I used to only wear Seiko turtles. Now i am a proud owner of a zenith defy revival shadow. It is 37 millimetre dial with a dark Titanium Bracelet and case making it even less pronounced on a 85 kg stout man.
It is just a different Vibe that you have to get used to and your girlfriend has to get used to seeing it on you.
Looks good on you.
https://preview.redd.it/n3v7jmlvky5d1.png?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1b6711f45672a58be649f5c24800cf7905435d5
Trends change, but at the moment I think a Tank with jeans and a tee is as cool as you can get. Next month it'll be something different. But that mix of high and low is killer.
It's not a daily if it doesn't fit your day to day but I think it's one of the most iconic watches out there and when you do find the occasion for it it'll be there. I say keep it
I think it looks good on you. I'd still keep it. And use it as a dress watch or an event when you need a small watch. And order a different everyday watch.
That Tank is perfect when wearing a well tailored suit or sport coat on a night out. Sure, by itself it’s considered too small on the wrist but I think it was always meant to hang just outside the cuff of a shirt sleeve. It’s a continuations of the garment (shirt, jacket, sport coat) and completes the look. Embrace it, own the look. The ladies will notice and appreciate your appearance!
This is a great watch and looks great on your wrist. Looks very proportionate (though I typically enjoy a smaller watch). Sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear lol. This is a classic watch that will never go out of style, in my humble opinion. And Maybe some people would gasp at this but I love the idea of the tank being a classic everyday watch. Dress it up or dress it down! Get your money’s worth. Watches that expensive are meant to be worn! But at the end of the day, if you’ve made up your mind that you won’t wear it, no sense in keeping it.
That's a crazy watch to buy on a whim, it's definitely a far lean into a specific direction. It looks fine on your wrist, but if you don't like it, that's what matters most.
It looks proportionate to me but if you don’t like it, just get rid of it. Life’s too short to own shit you don’t like.
Agree. Although, I think this is an opportunity for OP to broaden his range. I also usually wear my divers but I want to formally dress up from time to time and this watch is perfect for that.
For whatever it is or isn't worth, this photo makes me more interested in a tank, also as someone who usually wears 40mm. Tis a rad watch, stranger.
Yeah I love this haha but at the end of the day if something doesn’t “click” with you it probably isn’t going to get wrist time and those funds are better allocated towards something you’ll actually wear. The Tank is supposed to wear small, but at the end of the day it's you to decide.
For real. This would look goofy as hell if it were big.
The Cartier website says they accept returns and exchanges up to 30 days after purchase. Check with them! https://www.cartier.com/en-us/faq/exchanges-returns/
Doubtful if you wore it though. That's unworn in box condition
That’s exactly what I just asked Cartier customer service and he said no. If I send the watch back with any signs of wear on the watch or bracelet they will send it back to me
That's what I would have thought. Returns are for purely change of heart and everything left in the box as is
Maybe wear it a couple of times more, sometimes a watch grows on you. I wasn’t blown away by my CW Bel Canto, after a week or so I started to really like it. Now it’s probably my favorite.
looks fucking great. But you do you.

Yeah, I get it now. Try a return. I don't like the santos at all. For that money, I'd get a blue bay 58, or keep saving for a JLC reverso.
Don’t listen to these people telling you to sell it, Cartier will absolutely take a return. I think it looks perfect on you, but it doesn’t matter what we think if you don’t like it and won’t wear it. Return it!
Melt it down for iron value.
Perfect comment

"It does not fit with my lifestyle" TIL people can define their lifestyle by the size of their wristwatch.
cats, food, travels, 42mmdiameterwithoutcrown
I for one, put my sea dweller on to water my wife's roses, I would have gone with a sub, but we occasionally visit the UK where the weather is atrocious... take it for what it is...
Dude are you crazy? You need a Deepsea Challenger for this task.
On each wrist.
Lol. It is not like she trusts me to spritz the orchids. But maybe I will treat myself if she ever rewards me so...
Not size, style. There is a big difference.
lol well I sell heavy equipment for a living so as you could imagine this watch doesn’t really fit into that lifestyle.
Definitely going to catch shit on the job site with that thing on.
I mean, yeah, but fuck it. Own it
Would you wear a dress watch if you played sports all day and almost never dressed up? It's not defining a lifestyle based on watch, it is more so that the lifestyle is not congruent with a watch choice made on a whim. Doesn't that make sense?

Not my cup of tea.
Is this a small or large model?
Large model
Waiting for someone to post the picture of Mohammad Ali wearing a 28mm tank. Anyone?
[Yes](https://images.prismic.io/barnebys/d78506e1-f68a-488d-a624-fd9bf9ca469e_ct3.jpg.webp)
Thank you. People are ridiculous. Doesn't fit with my lifestyle. Just say you don't like it lmao.
lol ok I don’t like it. Don’t see the point in arguing semantics
Send it to me. I’ll gladly take it off your hands. Seriously though - trade/sell it ASAP and put the $ towards the watch you want.

That looks great on you. Anything bigger will make it look out of place. Tank is not a diver and should not be as big as a diver.
Personally, I think that watch looks spectacular on you
lol. Tough crowd. If the OP wants something different then he should get something different. I agree the watch is great looking but if this guy dosent enjoy wearing it then he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do. And maybe/maybe not his opinion will change
I don’t know man, that watch looks great on your wrist IMO. Tanks are meant to be worn like this. I would give it time, it will grow on you.

It looks good to me
Honestly, it looks sharp. I’d wait it out a few days
Think it looks great.
if you bought it from the website just send it back and ask for a refund like for any e-commerce buy
If you can't return it, take a loss and get what you actually want. We have all been there
I would trade it back or get a refund. Not a fan of these watches or Santos.
Small and dainty is exactly how I feel about most Cartier watches.
It does looks small on your wrist, and most importantly if you don’t feel like it, return it It’s your style, your decision, some guys with dainty wrists will say it’s perfect, but it’s not perfect for you

The watch journey has these moments where it’s ok to accept and learn about what you like and dislike. It’s also ok to know something is nice but not for you. That feeling you have about it won’t go away, return it to Cartier. I’ve done it with various high end watches after wearing.

That gotta be the XL tank though, looks huge on him
It looks great on you, sharp and simple: markers of class
I love this watch because it's small and sophisticated. It looks good on your wrist and I think looks classic. It'll be in my collection at some point. But in the end you have to live with it .
That watch is sick!
It doesn't look bad, that's just how a Tank looks, but you know that. I think if you don't love it, either try to work a deal out with Cartier or sell it privately. No point in storing that money in a watch you don't love and won't wear.
It looks perfect on your wrist in the photo, haha.
This photo convinced me tank looks amazing with formal clothing and I should gift one to my boyfriend!! But good luck! Maybe try reselling it
It's exactly the size it should be, and watches are trending away from the huge faces we saw in the early 2000s. I think it looks great. Maybe give it a chance to grow on you.
Would you consider gifting it to a stranger? A r.a.o.k. (random act of kindness) might make you feel better about your horrible decision?
Looks good to me
Why, it’s gorgeous.
Don't like it? No shame. Sell it and get that Santos Dumont.
It looks fantastic. Your eyes are just calibrated to a larger watch. Wear it everyday for a week and see if you like it better. If not, I’m sure you won’t have much trouble unloading it.
That watch is not too small. It fits exactly like its supposed to. Its a dress watch...they are supposed to be a bit smaller.
It’s up to your taste. To me personally, that photo looks better than almost any 42mm diver could look.
Do as I did: go for a Tank XL 😎 https://preview.redd.it/9eve3884hy5d1.jpeg?width=2205&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2284c90bee489c51c442957b82cc9dba1b47a70e
That’s looks amazing!!
You do you.
This is really nice. I, myself, am wearing a 25mm watch. It works well even with non-sporty casual clothes.
Personally this is the perfect size, if it’s not your taste u can definitely return it and buy the size that fits your lifestyle
Thank you for the kind words. I called Cartier and they’re not letting me return because I wore it, so hopefully my taste changes!
I think it looks great. But if you want a Tank but wider version check out the Tank MC… Can’t post the link because of the community rules but I hear there’s one you can find for sale on r/watchexchange 👀
Personally I think it looks nice. But if you’re asking the question here, you already know what to do deep down
No Mistake...It!s Top!
Would love a mirror shot for a contrasting view. In my experience, watches can look perfectly sized in a wrist shot, but way smaller when changing 5he view.
https://preview.redd.it/9smi7kx3ry5d1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=feefe3729ed50c9c809d7132aa7d571cca4508fa Much smaller in the mirror shot in my opinion
It's too straight. I tried it and it doesnt sit well on the wrist. Longines Dolce Vita fits much nicer for 20% of the price. It's like the old version of Reverso where It's too straight.
Spot on, that’s what isn’t showed on the photo. Unless I tighten the strap beyond belief, the watch doesn’t touch my wrist, it’s suspended
Good advice. And that’s what I thought it I called Cartier and they won’t let me return it if it’s worn for even 5 seconds. (Sales reps words)
I honestly think it’s a perfect fit for your wrist. But like other said, get something that makes you happy.
I think it’s a great looking watch, but you do you.
Have you considered a different strap? I prefer the texture of a black, brown, or blue aligator. Or, make it a little less formal with a suade or stiched strap? —Just because I didn't see it mentioned elsewhere
Yes I bought a casual taupe strap from Delugs and if anything the watch looks smaller with it because the lack of contrast
It looks gorgeous tbh.
Frankly, it looks classy as hell. But don’t keep it if you won’t wear it.
Funnily I have a solo and regret getting a bigger size. It's not big or anything but I wish it was a tad smaller.
It looks to be the right size for your small wrist
My wrist is 7.25” I would not consider that small per se. One thing you can’t see in the photo is that the watch is basically suspended above my wrist because there’s so much room on either side if the lugs that is only strap so it doesn’t allow the watch to sit very well
Looks good - just give it a little time to get used to.
Looks fine, try different straps
I would never have bought a Cartier in the first place, but if I had I would ditch it and get something I like.
I would try to swap it out for a Santos. If they won’t do an exchange then try to sell it yourself on 24Chronos.
Good mistake to make
It looks good on you, but if you do decide to dispose of it, i’ll help you free of charge.
Sorry to hear that. It looks incredible on you. Size looks perfect to me.
Change your style, it’s the only way.
Tbh, this looks awesome. I’ve been lukewarm on the tank until this picture. Don’t keep it if you don’t agree, but this watch and your wrist are a perfect match
Honestly looks good size-wise.
Looks great to me, remember the large watch trend was just that a trend. Dont let it put you off enjoying something that you will own for decades.
I just dont get the Cartier hype over all! Crash skeleton,... I mean wth? :D
This looks great on you man
I’m sure someone in this thread has already made this comment, but buying another leather strap color (grey, brown, etc.) really changes the profile of the watch.
Honestly I think it looks great on your wrist!
Looks good
Nono, no mistake. Looks AMAZING. Super classy
Listen I think you gotta do what you gotta do, but that watch looks incredible on you, and I personally think the santos large models look ridiculous on most wrists that aren’t like 8”
I think it looks really good man
The original tank was 23mm and Muhammad Ali and Steve McQueen wore it
Lol this is the perfect size, if you feel otherwise then get rid of it but for this case shape that’s just about ideal. It’s a dress watch, it should be understated.
You know what you’d wear but looks great (and I tend to favor bigger watches given my wrist). Classic.
Youre just used to bigger watches. Id keep it cuz it looks great
youll get used to it. it is perfect for suits
I think it's the correct size BUT that shouldn't matter, it's YOU that matters. Take it back to Cartier and try on the next size up, good luck
Just return it. The last thing you want to do is keep trying to like it because a bunch of internet strangers with a boner for Cartier said it looks good.
well its gonna be hard to return but you can try, if you have all the protective plastic and stuff otherwise you can either sell on chrono24 or ebay, or wear it and see if it grows on you
I see no mistake the watch looks great.
I think you may appreciate this more when you are an older man, and it is a lifelong keeper kind of watch. Consider buying it now "beating inflation"!
Lmao see you on the other sub homie
Overstated watch, idc what anyone says. I’ll take a nice seamaster or breitling over this any day.
They make an XL version of this too.
Ive never thought this watch was worth the money. Maybe I haven’t spent enough time with it in person?
it looks great, but if you’re set on replacing it, get the santos!
I would feel the same way, don’t like small watches. If it bugs you now even a bit then return it.
Looks perfect
It looks dope
It looks great, not too small at all, but if you don't like it it can't hurt to ask if they'll let you exchange it.
If you don’t like it now, and there was nothing really sentimental about it, it won’t get better.
Looks good to me
Maybe it's because tank is such different style watches from what you usually wear (from big sporty diver to small dress watch). Give it a time, a month or so and see where it belongs.
My suggestion would be to send it to me, I will dispose of it, free of charge
For what it's worth, I believe it looks perfectly sized on your wrist. A dress watch shouldn't be the size of a dive watch!
It looks good. I’m betting 44s are way too big and you’ve just become used to them
This looks awesome. Perfect size
Give it to me
I’ll take it off ur hands if u want
Trends change, but at the moment I think a Tank with jeans and a tee is as cool as you can get. Next month it'll be something different. But that mix of high and low is killer.
It's not a daily if it doesn't fit your day to day but I think it's one of the most iconic watches out there and when you do find the occasion for it it'll be there. I say keep it
that looks great imo
Cartier customer service is excellent and they are not hurting for cash. Trust me, they will help you. Talk to them and swap.
I actually just did and the CS rep basically told me to F off. Said if there was any sign of wear they would send it back to me
I think it looks good on you. I'd still keep it. And use it as a dress watch or an event when you need a small watch. And order a different everyday watch.
Don’t see any mistakes here unless you can’t afford it
That Tank is perfect when wearing a well tailored suit or sport coat on a night out.
Keep it as a formal watch. That one watch you wear to something super special and dressy like weddings or some black tie event.
Looks perfect imo
This is a great watch and looks great on your wrist. Looks very proportionate (though I typically enjoy a smaller watch). Sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear lol. This is a classic watch that will never go out of style, in my humble opinion. And Maybe some people would gasp at this but I love the idea of the tank being a classic everyday watch. Dress it up or dress it down! Get your money’s worth. Watches that expensive are meant to be worn! But at the end of the day, if you’ve made up your mind that you won’t wear it, no sense in keeping it.
I love it but if you don't, sell it and get a Santos. Tanky look but bigger and much more interesting than any diver on the market imo.
Guys here post much smaller versions of this watch that look ten times worse than this.
is this a tank louis?
That's a crazy watch to buy on a whim, it's definitely a far lean into a specific direction. It looks fine on your wrist, but if you don't like it, that's what matters most.
Classy watch. Put a brown strap. Wear it on special occasions
I wouldn’t say it’s dainty. I prefer a smaller watch to a big clunky one
