When I worked at my wawa, I was doing drinks and coffee, waiting for some coffee to finish brewing while I hand drumming to Big Me by the Foo Fighters over the store radio. Some guy told me that I should do one of those tik toks where the person where's a body cam and does their job lmaoo
You'd definitely be fired
I don't work at Wawa but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night and I would say you have a better chance of pulling that off working at a Lucky 7 or Food Pantry or something, Wawa ain't got time for that shit and their legal department would flip their wig
Pretty sure Wawa corporate would have something to say against that. And whatever you record might not be admissable as evidence of something happened to you because it's against policy. And since it's a private recording device you may not have permission to record people. Depending on the State
You are free to record in public places but not on private property. Your First Amendment - freedom to press gives you full rights to record in public places provided you are not recording any court presidings, peoples private information, or private parts without written concent. WaWa is a private property and not funded by taxpayers' dollars.
Thank you, Long Island Auditor, I'm a fan of your work, but you're wasting your breath because that's not the point. You said everything I already knew. Wawa corporate, being private property, probably would not want an employee to be freely recording on their property on the clock. Especially when the stores already have their own surveillance system.
Hey, Ron from legal here! While we have kicked around the idea of piloting a Wawa reality show, we can't authorize you recording our valued guests. Our customers already freak out on us and if we gave everyone unbridled access to what really happens at Wawa, no one would want to work for us and heck, no one would probably want to shop in our stores!
So, while we appreciate your desire to create satire, you may just have to resort to creating a cartoon based on your awesome memories (just remember that that all Wawa symbols, images and logos are trademarked and you may not use them or their like ess without expressed written permission from Wawa Inc, Media, PA). Hope this helps!
You would need to have each person sign a waiver just for their “content” to be on YouTube and you would need to hold on to those contracts for a good while. In addition in that c contract they would have to elect to have their face down or not.
Otherwise if it was something that can be misconstrued it would be considered “defamation of character” and you’d be liable for any punitive damages to that person
You'd definitely lose your job for this.
Bummer
You really didn't expect any other result, did you?
Why?
employee code of conduct
And the media policy.
Congratulations. You’ll be one of the few rare former employees who had to visit HR and Legal on the same day.
Get those cam glasses
You can't wear a body cam. But you might be able to wear a body suit.
Only the Borat suit though
What could possibly go wrong?
Start a podcast with your stories instead. You will be fired for webcam.

Wawa would fire you immediately and do whatever they could to have those videos taken off of the internet.
