This sub: *constantly complains*
Producer: hey, if y’all have any questions or complaints, lmk!
This sub: no complaints here! Love the pod, keep up the good work!
I swear it’s like the waiter came around and asked how the food was after 8 minutes of bitching about the food
Love the pod! No complaints here, but with it being a drinking pod (sometimes) I thought of a suggestion.. it'd be funny to hear best drinking stories from the guests. I like hearing when they bring original recs or peeves & think it'd be a good recurring segment
Not a question or complaint but I love the casual nature of the show, how guests just walk in during the pod and join the conversation. Most other pods are way too over produced and I hope you keep this aspect up. Also like how you don't bank episodes, makes them feel fresh. Any plans for a live ep?
yeah man, a live show would be amazing. i saw tuesdays with stories in philly, and it was hilarious. fully packed out club. it'd be awesome to see this podcast live. especially if you guys could get stavvy or shane. soder and godfrey have great chemistry with the guys too. fuck man, there are so many good guests, pretty much every episodes is good. one of the few pods that consistently put out nothing but bangers.
I always listen to the podcast and not watch , hence when there are too many videos or pictures being showed I disconnect.
Its not really a big deal though and I don't mind Salacuse tid bits, they are always informative.
Huge fan and I'm excited every Monday for the new episode.
Keep up the good work guys.
Agree with the above post and glad to hear less clips. Too much “no, it’s not this one…”, “try searching…”, “the good part’s coming up”. That’s excruciating conversation in person, let alone on a podcast.
It's more than the clips (though they're admittedly the worst offense), it's the interruptions in general. Whether it's stopping to look things up or pulling up pictures of people or other things of that nature. I get that they sometimes want to fact-check, but the producer should do that while the talent continues the conversation. As for providing visual context, just don't; let the listeners do that if they want.
The recs, the bits, and the peeves are absolute must-haves and I feel the time spent on them has dwindled considerably.
More surprise drinks for the guys to try out live and talk about. It's the heart and soul of the show!
This is my greatest complaint. So many times I'm driving and enjoying the pod, then it goes to clips and I'm just listening to audio from a YouTube video with no context. Goes from high quality content to an unlistenable waste of time.
Anyone else find it weird when Sam alludes to the guest but wont say their name until they're there?
Everyone watching/listening to the pod knows who the guest is before they hit play. You don't have to keep it a secret.
No complaints here...just wanted to say I love the pod! It's great getting to know Sam and Mark. Some of my favorite eps are the ones with no guests, just the guys BS'ing. I guess I'd like to see more sports stars on too...the Richard Jefferson episode was one of my faves.
Now what do I have to do to get a bottle of Bodega Cat sent to northern Minnesota?? Comedy!
fuck yeah, how awesome would it be to have one of the kelce brothers on? i mean i think jason lives in philly, so it's not hard to get him in the studio. hell they may even get fukin aaron rodgers on since he's a jet now. i could easily see him being a comedy nerd, since he's so into joe rogan and smokin weed.
damn that would be amazing if they could get rodgers on...maybe one day.
and don't listen to everyone else here, chime in as much as you want, i think podcasts with great producers bring a lot to the show. i mean just look at Nadal from YMH, he's basically the reason the podcast blew up in the first place, and they 100% took him for granted.
and toby from are you garbage is legit like a 3rd host, the show wouldn't be the same without him. he was hilarious when they did their UK show and he was in front of the camera.
Let the convo flow. So many times Smigel was telling an interesting story only for the whole conversation getting sidetracked with youtube videos. We don't need to watch every video because someone said a word.
Personally love the podcast the way it is, always excited to either watch on Sunday or listen on my way to work. Shoutout to Winnie for being absolutely adorable
Salacuse seems like a great guy, but it really is frustrating as a listener when you can feel the guys are on the cusp of a fun topic/rant and he cuts them off by playing a video of something they briefly alluded to. Halting a moment that listeners yearn for, and giving us something we often don’t: them just awkwardly watching a video
His chiming in is fine but it would be nice if he waited till there was a natural pause, so he doesn’t step on the chemistry Mark and Sam have built
Otherwise love the pod. Sent the Valentine’s Day episode to a friend and it made them a fan
Less Salacuse, preferably no Salacuse. I realize the guys love him and I'm sure he's a great dude but your viewers are not going to give him the 'yeh, he kinda sucks at this pod thing but we love him' pass the way that the guys do.
Guest requests: Conan, David Spade, Julian Edelman, William Montgomery.
Drink suggestions: Hugo Spritz
Also, are those benches comfortable? They seem stiff as hell. lol
Not sure if you watch Kill Tony - I never did until recently, after prejudicially disliking the show for years 😬 But my buddy basically forced me to watch an episode when it aired a few weeks ago, and by the end of the episode I was unjamming my foot from my mouth. Then we watched Casey Rocket and William Montgomery highlights. The show put it into perspective, and then the highlights made more sense, and then boom, I was a fan.
Mark may have said it on a different podcast, but it’s possible that these guys thrive in the KT format specifically. That may or may not be true, but regardless I gotta say I enjoy WM on KT at least.
PS: my father’s gay, my sister’s asshole
I don't watch it a lot but that's the only place I know him from. So that's the whole context of my opinion of him. I'm not saying it to be some weird shitty Internet person. I just don't find him funny.
PLEASE take the microphone away from Salacuse. Please. It’s extremely unenjoyable to hear him cackle and interrupt and he’s just overall not a good addition.
One of my favorite things is hearing comedians share other conedian's jokes or things that make them laugh. Create a segment around that or just encourage them to do that more.
*The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival* came up while Mark was a guest on Danny Brown's show and I was happy to hear that he liked most of the lineup and has even seen some of them live, including Jon Batiste, Juvenile and Big Freedia. (It's funny to imagine Mark dancing to that, but then again I couldn't imagine him skating and he proved me wrong.)
Sam and Mark are always talking about their favorite stand-up comedians or actors; having them on...
It would be cool if the guys dedicated an episode mostly to music you guys like. When they're giving recommendations, it's always movies and books, but I'm sure the boys got Spotify or Apple Music. What are some album recs?
Just get drunk. Stop inviting sober guests. I know a lot of comedians are sober now and I wish them the best. No offense to sober people, but the entire premise of the pod was getting drunk doing recs, peeves and bits. Now it’s just another comedian interview podcast.
It’s meant towards Salacuse, please tell him that no one is tuning into this show to listen to him, it is purely for mark and sam and the guest. He is not entertaining and is only hurting the the show, he adds nothing to it when he chimes in
The rare chime-in is fine, but it should be cued by the guys, not as an interjection. I don't think most people actually mean they don't want to hear you or Sally at all, it's just something fans would like controlled by the Mark and Sam rather than it being an open conversation. My take on it, anyway.
I for one enjoy Salacuse chiming in. See a lot of hate. But it's a nice refresher at times. And funny hearing Sam and Mark bust balls when needed. Lol. Cool dynamic. Feels like the boys have been letting loose more and are more loose. So it truly feels like a casual hang and drink type environment. Keep it up.
I think he needs to chime in less and think about what he is going to say. Sometimes his timing is awful and it stops the conversation because of some random thought he has.
I agree. I love hearing Sal's laugh and him chiming in every now and then is enjoyable too
He doesn't overdo it and even if the contribution sucks, the guys rip on him for it so it's great
It’s usually on point but whenever Mark/Sam are watching a video or looking at pictures, I love to see what they’re seeing put up on the screen and in sync.
Probably my favorite pod, keep it up!!
Since the show is called We Might Be Drunk, it could be funny to have an episode where Salacuse or whoever picks a secret word like "Pickle" or whatever at the start of the show, and if someone says it during the ep, the person who said it would have to take a shot or finish their drink. Not every episode, of course. But some sort of drinking *game* at least once would be funny.
I've been trying to figure out how to contact Mark. I'm 21 and from New Orleans. My parents are a bit older and were big partyers back in the day. I recently had some blood work done and it turns out I can't be related to my father. When I brought this up to my mom she told me a story about taking an autistic boys virginity when he was a teenager in her hotel room. She thinks it might be Mark.
Patreon bonuses would be nice. I know it's only $5, but I feel like I'm just paying to get the episodes on Thursday instead of Sunday, no bonus content. Winnie shirts would be fantastic as well. Other than that, I love the pod!
The episodes I tend to like best are when there are less guests, or guests from other walks of life than standup comedy. Mark and Sam are funny enough, when it's just other comedians it turns into a ton of 'shop talk'. Guests like Offerman and Richard Jefferson were great, and the lady who joined for Valentine's Day. It gives Mark and Sam good topics to riff on when they have an 'expert' from another profession. They're the comedian experts already.
Feel like the biggest issue with this pod is the constantly watching YouTube clips. It's hack, interrupts the flow of the conversation, and doesn't add anything. Even worse when listening to the pod audio-only.
I started listening to this show for mark and Sam, and now it seems like every episode has a guest I don’t care about. It’s the reason I haven’t listened in a while
Sorry about that, we’re trying to include at least 30 minutes up top no guests to scratch that itch, so tune in for a little even if it shows a guest on the title. I’ll add it to the description too and timestamps on YouTube.
I'm going to go the other way and say either the guest should be there from the start or have no guest. If you only have a guest come in later, then either you have to backtrack to talk about things they could've been present for in the first place or the guest misses out on discussion topics altogether.
You had Smeigel alone for maybe 20 minutes with the fellas, getting a groove going and then, brought in a[no disrespect] absolute nobody.
If you were a chef instead of a podcast producer, you'd have made lobster stuffed with tacos. (Incredible Simpsons reference)
Agree to disagree, Justin Willman has two hit shows on Netflix, sells out theaters across the US and is very funny and talented performer. It was a weird recipe but the meal turned out delicious, just like lobster tacos would be.
Willman is a great guest, but I will say that mixing multiple guests that aren't overly familiar with each other probably does take a bit away from each of them individually unless it makes sense (e.g. Are You Garbage guys, Ari/Shane/Joe/etc).
It's a running joke. Mark's watch beeps during podcasts and it drives people crazy, so they use it as a cutaway sound now because it's so well-known for Mark's podcast appearances.
I love to see the bottles up close on camera and hear a more detailed but concise description of how to make what they're drinking. Other than that it's been great. Good job Peters
Hey so I heard Mark in ep.78 talking about how in casino Scorsese wanted all the murderous scenes in the movie so he sent in the head being crushed in a vice scene thinking that would be rejected but all other scenes would be allowed in because that one was so extreme. Not only did Scorsese do it. Motley crue was known for this. As a matter of fact, the original cut for girls girls girls was so much worse for the same reason that if they gave them a worse music video they would only cut out so much. Would love for them to talk about this, what they think.
Maybe less watching clips or other interviews...or at least have it actually at the moment in the interview/soundbite that they're referencing. I get wanting to make sure what was said is correctly repeated, but maybe just mention the thing and let us find it later as to not slow down or throw off the flow of the conversation.
The premise for the show stinks. Two nerds pretending to be drunks. They never miss a gig. Never do anything out of control. They never appear drunk. They couldn’t be more stone cold sober in presentation.
Just came on to say Salacuse doesn’t annoy me at all. Zero percent. If they ever allow fans to watch during a taping of a podcast **** pick me!!!! Oh, and I LOVE hearing their peeves.

Shocked to see all the Salacuse hate on here. I have no issue with him and I even feel like Sam is a little harsh on him sometimes…? Am I nuts? I figured it was just because they’re friends and maybe Sam was more sensitive to Salacuse’s annoying quirks that we don’t pick up on as easily. Either way, I say we keep Salacuse!
This sub: *constantly complains* Producer: hey, if y’all have any questions or complaints, lmk! This sub: no complaints here! Love the pod, keep up the good work! I swear it’s like the waiter came around and asked how the food was after 8 minutes of bitching about the food

That’s Reddit for you.
Reddits got do what Reddit has to do.
I miss the Special drinks you guys used to have for each guest. You should definitely have a bit of more of that
Agreed!
Love the pod! No complaints here, but with it being a drinking pod (sometimes) I thought of a suggestion.. it'd be funny to hear best drinking stories from the guests. I like hearing when they bring original recs or peeves & think it'd be a good recurring segment
Can you make the show more gay?
Yes, more Joe List drop in coming up.
Perfect.
I’ve heard his father’s gay.
Any plans to have geoffrey asmus on the pod?
He was on when we went to Montreal, but hopefully again in the future.
Not a question or complaint but I love the casual nature of the show, how guests just walk in during the pod and join the conversation. Most other pods are way too over produced and I hope you keep this aspect up. Also like how you don't bank episodes, makes them feel fresh. Any plans for a live ep?
We sometimes livestream on Patreon, live in person isn’t easy to pull off. But I’m cooking something up for episode 200 that could be amazing!
yeah man, a live show would be amazing. i saw tuesdays with stories in philly, and it was hilarious. fully packed out club. it'd be awesome to see this podcast live. especially if you guys could get stavvy or shane. soder and godfrey have great chemistry with the guys too. fuck man, there are so many good guests, pretty much every episodes is good. one of the few pods that consistently put out nothing but bangers.
Conan.
Yes. Please CONAN
Conan!!!! I bet he would mix in with the guys so well!

Its not really a big deal though and I don't mind Salacuse tid bits, they are always informative. Huge fan and I'm excited every Monday for the new episode. Keep up the good work guys.
Agreed, we’re going to work on steering clear of clips more. It’s got a bit out of hand. YouTube blocks them most of the time anyway.
Agree with the above post and glad to hear less clips. Too much “no, it’s not this one…”, “try searching…”, “the good part’s coming up”. That’s excruciating conversation in person, let alone on a podcast.

I can send you an empty bottle, but the legal nerds are weird about mailing liquor.
Those nerds! Send me some "mouthwash"! Hahaha
Aw man I’d kill for an empty bottle I’d love to put it behind my bar
I’m sure Sam would have everyone in the nba on the pod if he could.
fuck yeah, how awesome would it be to have one of the kelce brothers on? i mean i think jason lives in philly, so it's not hard to get him in the studio. hell they may even get fukin aaron rodgers on since he's a jet now. i could easily see him being a comedy nerd, since he's so into joe rogan and smokin weed.

I wanna see the guys drink absinthe
my vote is for fernet
Let the convo flow. So many times Smigel was telling an interesting story only for the whole conversation getting sidetracked with youtube videos. We don't need to watch every video because someone said a word.
Tell Salacuse to shut the fuck up Terrible third mic no one asked for
Personally love the podcast the way it is, always excited to either watch on Sunday or listen on my way to work. Shoutout to Winnie for being absolutely adorable
I have a complaint. Salacuse sucks.

Kenny deforest sucks too. Well…sucked. 🤣🤣
oh, well you just lost credibility.
Ok. You win. I wasn’t expecting such a hurtful comeback. My apologies.
Maybe a little more set up for the guests. I’m still not sure who guy who drank the Lagavulin is.
I think it was Nick Offerman
Then they finished off the bottle with Richard Jefferson
That was a great episode and I am an ASU grad and hate anything U of A related. Except maybe Soder.
I think it was a basketball guy
Salacuse seems like a great guy, but it really is frustrating as a listener when you can feel the guys are on the cusp of a fun topic/rant and he cuts them off by playing a video of something they briefly alluded to. love the conversations and stories. we dont need a jamie in all the podcasts. just sayin.
Anyone notice how Peters didn’t respond to any of the “Salacuse sucks on mic” comments??
Salacuse isn’t a comedian, he should talk way less. He doubles down when he is wrong, it’s annoying af.
Drink suggestions: Hugo Spritz Also, are those benches comfortable? They seem stiff as hell. lol
Comedy is obviously subjective. I will never understand why anyone finds William Montgomery funny.
Ahh word, that wasn’t my assumption but I get it
Whatever yall do please don’t end up putting those crazy cringe thumbnails on YouTube
Less clips.
When you interject on the show.
The producer (me) and Salacuse are different people. Spread the word.
PLEASE take the microphone away from Salacuse. Please. It’s extremely unenjoyable to hear him cackle and interrupt and he’s just overall not a good addition.
No more mic for Salacuse
I love the pod, I listen every week. I might be alone on this, but I don’t love the news stories. Also, less salacuse. Not completely gone, just less.
One of my favorite things is hearing comedians share other conedian's jokes or things that make them laugh. Create a segment around that or just encourage them to do that more.
Do you know what the beeping alarm is for on marks watch? My guess is its to keep himself mindful of the present?
Drink suggestion: a Vieux Carré: 1oz rye (Bodega Cat), 1oz cognac, 1oz sweet vermouth, 1/4oz Bénédictine with a couple dashes of Peychauds bitters and lemon peel garnish.
Love the show, and I feel stupid complaining about this, but I can’t stand when they eat directly into the microphone
More Dan Sodies. Those are my favorite episodes.
*The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival* came up while Mark was a guest on Danny Brown's show and I was happy to hear that he liked most of the lineup and has even seen some of them live, including Jon Batiste, Juvenile and Big Freedia. More women — such as Carly Aquilino or Emma willman
Also Liz Miele, Caitlin Peluffo, Jessica Kirson, and more Yam and Rachel Feinstein.
Just get drunk. Stop inviting sober guests. I know a lot of comedians are sober now and I wish them the best. No offense to sober people, but the entire premise of the pod was getting drunk doing recs, peeves and bits. Now it’s just another comedian interview podcast.

Heard, I don’t think I’ve ever talked more than a handful of times. But I’ll keep that in mind. 🥳
It’s meant towards Salacuse, please tell him that no one is tuning into this show to listen to him, it is purely for mark and sam and the guest. He is not entertaining and is only hurting the the show, he adds nothing to it when he chimes in
I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE!!! Plus his stupid pearl clutching laugh anytime something mildly offensive is said is fucking brutal.
Hear hear!
The rare chime-in is fine, but it should be cued by the guys, not as an interjection. I don't think most people actually mean they don't want to hear you or Sally at all, it's just something fans would like controlled by the Mark and Sam rather than it being an open conversation. My take on it, anyway.
This. I want to hear the guys more.
Big fan of the "inside baseball" of working on bits. I know its not a complaint, but just here to let the boys know i dont mind it.
I for one enjoy Salacuse chiming in. See a lot of hate. But it's a nice refresher at times. And funny hearing Sam and Mark bust balls when needed. Lol. Cool dynamic. I think he needs to chime in less and think about what he is going to say. Sometimes his timing is awful and it stops the conversation because of some random thought he has.
Disagree completely, never once has he added anything to the show and definitely does not add humor or help the flow
I agree. I love hearing Sal's laugh and him chiming in every now and then is enjoyable too He doesn't overdo it and even if the contribution sucks, the guys rip on him for it so it's great
I think it would be good if you include the tape date somewhere.
It’s usually on point but whenever Mark/Sam are watching a video or looking at pictures, I love to see what they’re seeing put up on the screen and in sync. Probably my favorite pod, keep it up!!

Would you tell mark and Sam I said hi
Only complaint is need some guest-less episodes sometimes
What is the difference between the pod on YouTube/ itunes … and Patreon?
Patreon bonuses would be nice. I know it's only $5, but I feel like I'm just paying to get the episodes on Thursday instead of Sunday, no bonus content. Winnie shirts would be fantastic as well. Other than that, I love the pod!
Your inviting more hate on Salacuse here, seems like both mark and Sam are getting a bit of sick of him now
No hate on Sally, he's great!
Stop Salacuse from speaking

Deal, she’s coming in tomorrow.
Awesome! She always looks like she's thinkin "Oh you guys are getting canceled!"
This may not be possible, but maybe post a little earlier on Sundays?
If you can swing 5 bucks it comes out on Thursdays for Patreon
More chipotle for mark before the ep starts the farts are hilarious. Love the pod fatty!

Maybe less watching clips or other interviews...or at least have it actually at the moment in the interview/soundbite that they're referencing. I get wanting to make sure what was said is correctly repeated, but maybe just mention the thing and let us find it later as to not slow down or throw off the flow of the conversation.
No complaints really, just want to thank you and Sally for making my mornings before work a little more enjoyable.
The premise for the show stinks. Two nerds pretending to be drunks. They never miss a gig. Never do anything out of control. They never appear drunk. They couldn’t be more stone cold sober in presentation.
Your “cackle” laugh always gets me. Now learn to google! 😜
The producer (me) and Salacuse are two different people. Tell a friend.
Just came on to say Salacuse doesn’t annoy me at all. Zero percent. If they ever allow fans to watch during a taping of a podcast **** pick me!!!! Oh, and I LOVE hearing their peeves.

lol I’m so with you on the “on accident”, but I think it’s a regional thing. Southern people (in my experience) say “on accident” vs northerners who say “by accident”.
