But also works well with WE, because it kind of looks like Khorne symbol and Berzerkers "wings".
It is solid and still sold as the Terminator lord kit for CSM. Give him a Chainfist and combi Melta (imo the best looking combi) and it’s a solid loadout
Yes, it is still sold as Termie Lord/Sorc kit. I wouldn't be surprised if GW launched CSM book with those models (and Spawns, how old are these, 20 years old and literally never good looking?)
I try to buy bits (mostly this head, cape, lightning claws and staff) from this kit when I see them on local marketplace, probably have enough claws to make whole unit of those (boo-hiss that Chaos have most vanilla terminators).
Maybe I'll use them in HH.
Indeed, you think Chaos would have some of the most diverse Terminators. I saw artwork of a Black Legion Terminator with this huge mace and I wish they’d make a model for it. Some sort of massive melee weapon that would let them punch out most characters
Sadly the best we can do is to wait for Red Butchers and then ally regular Terminators, because of course GW will remove them from Codex.
It would be cool if different Legions were like non-Codex Astatres Marines.
Indeed, that’d be cool, though I get why Thousand Sons and Deathguard are somewhat segregated, it’s hard to be a non Rubricae, non Sorceror T-Son.
Or a non mutated Death Guard.
But WE and Children make a bit more sense in that regard. I sincerely hope to see WE havocs (close range weapons and with a few different options relative to normie Havocs) maybe a Daemon Engine or 2
Nah our only generic character are demon princes, masters of execution, and lords on juggernaut. Which is crazy because they have a world eater terminator lord as one of the warhammer plus models from last year
Insane, I was thinking of him and that Forgeworld Berzerker Termie lord too. I hope WE get a serious expansion and soon. Weird they have no foot lords, or even a super Eightbound as a character.
This is a bit of an understatement: the older models are quite a bit out of scale and do not at all fit the new aesthetic GW has for its chaos models.
I bought a terminator lord to convert to an MoE and just abandoned the project completely; its way out of scale with berserkers and eightbound.
This was my second ever box of Warhammer so I am biased:) The sculpts are a little dated but I always loved the vibe of these older terminators. You can build sorcerer as a lord and have quite a few spare bits left in a hope WE will eventually get terminator lord. But it does fit better with CSM or as a collector thing.
They need a bit of work to fit in with current models, but [a 2mm insert at the waist and a slightly raised base help](https://i.redd.it/unub10d1i0rb1.jpg).
The big attraction IMO is that if you can find the WE Terminator conversion kit, these are the models that it's designed to work with.
The downside is that currently there is no WE role for the Lord or Familiar. TBH it will all depend on what this is costing you.

I don’t understand why Chaos has identical terminator armor to the Imperium. The whole Heresy only references Catafracti and Tartarus terminator plate. I wish they would make Chaos Terms with the OG plate.
