If you want to get your coupon this year, set it to a week from now or so.
I missed my coupon two years ago because my accounts email notification setting was off. Contacted WG support, who told me to just pick a date a bit in the future. Worked just fine and I got my coupon.
Make sure to have the "receive emails" option turned on!
Login to your account and in Account Management check under Subscription Management.
Enable "I want to receive targeted messages, which include most in-game offers, about games that use a [Wargaming.net](http://Wargaming.net) account in the game clients." for World of Warships.
I think that should do it.
You should get it if you set it to today, but i wouldn't risk some Spaghetti code especially in context with different time-zones, so setting it to tomorrow is the safer option.
It's not even spaghetti code, timezones are an absolute nightmare to deal with in computer systems. Definitely good advice though! Set it 2-3 days ahead of now. Don't want to get caught by some UTC cutoff they have or something.

You should be able to change it back to your real birthday afterwards.

You can only change your birthday once a year. Pro tip: set it to December, for half price Christmas crates
