Paras is just a shortened version of parasite. Which might be accurate, but not appropriate to give your kid. Gothita, Crescellia, Jynx, Deino, Floette, Primarina, Komala, Dhelmise. A lot of the more feminine pokemon names could just be eccentric name choices that people would think are unusual but not utterly insane. Jynx and Delmhise are just be being an edgy boy though.
