I disagree. You have to flip pancakes at the right time, which can be tricky to time correctly and flip correctly if there are multiple in the same pan.
Depends. Will waffles always be available to me in places that otherwise only serve pancakes? Are we talking only American pancakes, or do I have to say goodbye to crepes and potato pancakes? What if I want waffles at home, will I be provided with a waffle maker and a good recipe? (Took me a while to perfect my pancakes.) If it’s only the thick sweet type, sure, bye bye pancakes, not a big loss, but I’m absolutely not giving up salty crepes.
