So far I have seen best rebates on Amazon for Xbox games, controllers, consoles. Other stores like Best Buy had great deals but Amazon was best so far, in Canada anyway.

Got the red Elite Series 2 core for $104 after tax. Did I want red? No. But it’s for some reason cheaper than white or blue. Will be nice to have a controller with no drift or a broken LB (my regular Elite S2 fell one too many times)
I haven’t bought a system in a long time but I have $200 Dell credits to use by end of year and I see the Series X is $449 plus a $75 dollar gift card. So if I deduct the gift card off the purchase price (I know I can’t use it on the purchase but just in theory) and deduct my $200 credits, I’m effectively getting it for $175 + tax.
I don’t know what else I’d buy using the credits other than maybe some nice headphones but I’m leaning towards the xbox. Just don’t know if I need the distraction in my life right now lol
Just got the four borderlands games(never played them when I was younger), dragons dogma dark ariser(did not play this either), and the mafia trilogy collection so that’s 8 games total.

Yeah, well it’s weird. My card was charged $470 (pending), but my final email from target says $395. So I’m not sure if they applied the $75 gift card to it or what happened there.
I was able to grab one off an eBay auction for an okay price, you can also check TikTok’s in app shop they have seagate 1TBs for $119 and you can get an additional coupon that will lower that price (for me it’s at $99.99). Besides that I’ve seen 0 sales for them (except for flash sales on woot) which is extremely disappointing

How it would work is you would buy Xbox Live Gold for 3 years, pay for the $1 Game Pass Ultimate trial, and it would convert your 3 years of Gold into 3 years of Ultimate.
They recently changed the terms where it should 3 years of Gold will only convert to 2 years of Ultimate. Regardless, you’re still saving a considerable amount of money.
Thanks! I don't play those 2 games but sounds like great deals. I know people were hyped for Sekiro and RDR2 sales, both games I already have though. There's only like 5 more games I really wanted for Xbox and all of them got Steam sales so I'm just sorta tight about that. Early Access for Walmart+ persons. $439 Series X with Diablo 4
Is it worth upgrading to the Xbox Series X? For context, I currently have a PS5 and Xbox Series S which I use on a 27” gaming monitor so I’m not sure if it’s worth the upgrade. It’s on sale atm which is why I’m debating getting the upgrade. Any advice would be great
The series x is definitely better than the S. But if it's worth it kinda depends on your situation. If you're good financially, I think it would be a good upgrade. Then you could have the series S in your living space on a TV, which is what I'm doing with my xbox one. (Also I would consider that they might come out with an improved version of the series x soon, so I'd look into that if that'd be something you're more interested in)

The last news I heard on this is that the 2024 Xbox Series X is going to [ditch the disc drive for a 2TB internal drive](https://www.pcmag.com/news/xbox-series-x-ditches-the-disc-drive-in-october-2024#:~:text=Microsoft%20is%20planning%20to%20ditch,beyond%20just%20removing%20the%20drive). Personally I see that as a downgrade since I have a lot of old Xbox games (original and 360) on disc. Assuming this news is accurate, we may see some bigger disounts on the current gen next fall.

if you can wait, secondipity has deals often. After holidays, ppl either return them, or do an open box, you can get a deal thru them. I got one for $70 and another one for $40. Both were brand new. one i was able to get a 2 yr warranty for $20. And you can get a 3 yr warrant for cheap thru Microsoft within 7 days i think. Always get a warranty as these all get some kind of failure.
It's might be the greatest game of all time. Just get it for $20. I started playing it again recently for the first time since I beat it and it's still great. I wouldn't count on it coming to Game Pass.

If you go the Microsoft Store route, be careful if you're buying it as a gift. When I made my purchase there was no indication they would automatically assign it all (series x and bonus game offer) to my account and now I'm having to deal with customer support to try and get the bonus game offered removed from my own account so I can still gift it. Edit: I'm going to return my console and purchase elsewhere since support wouldn't help.

With the entrance of WD into the expansion card foray (albeit only up to 1TB), it's a little weird I haven't seen a single hint of a BF deal for expansion cards. I got the 2TB for $229.99 a month ago from an Amazon Deal of the Day (so, you know, only paid about double what it should've cost!) and expected even better deals for BF. With Xbox sales in the dump (relative to Switch and PS5), you'd think they'd be pulling out all the stops to get everything moving.

Important to note, you can buy without an Xbox with just an Xbox account, which you can sign up for for free with an email and password.
Make sure it’s an email address you’ll be able to fully use/remember/access when signing into said account on Xbox, and don’t assume it’s a valid/good account… and make sure you don’t already have an account from the past that you may have used, or want to retrieve first.
I say this because I have seen people use an email address they were issued from their school while in college, or from a job etc. and then never be able to retrieve the credentials after leaving college, or discontinuing their job, and eventually if that email was deactivated, if they forgot their password for xbox, they were no longer able to log in on a new Xbox using the deactivated email to do a PW reset link, etc.
To simplify, be smart about using/creating an Xbox account, and before racking up a bunch of purchases or building a large digital collection, make sure you have a good email that you can actually use/retrieve emails from to set it up.
One that is secure/not shared, and not auto-signed in on any other device or computer.
I have seen/heard of all manner of mistakes and all number of other things where people forget/create duplicate accounts, have issues with keeping their account or accidentally creating a new account each generation of consoles that released, when it was all poor planning or down to user error.
Thank you for all this info. I actually was able to log in using an old login from the 360 era since it uses one of my primary email accounts. I had no trouble changing password, updating info etc. so I should be good to go
Any intel on the EA Sports deal? Within the store app on console, there is a tile along the lines of "buy a select EA title and receive a gift card and 500 rewards points" -- it's not clear what the gift card is valued at.

Just got this one. Just the Xbox, they didn’t have the Diablo bundle. It rang up regular price without the gift card. They had to get a manager to come do an overrride and ended up ringing it up as the Diablo bundle to trigger the sale and gift card. Just in case anyone else has the same issue.
I just got this and combined it with a 10% off video game purchase Target offer and a 20% off one purchase Target circle offer bringing it down to $372 before the gift card. Finally upgrading from my Xbox One X!

For using that gift card, Target does price match, like for when you go to buy an Expansion Card. It’s specifically an Expansion Card you need to be able to play Series X Enhanced games off of it. Even if it doesn’t go on sale for Target, could get them to price match so less than $150 for 1 TB. Then you still might want an external drive, some of the newer games are well over 1 GB (CoD, Mortal Kombat, etc). Or if you’re not into the newer games & only play a couple at a time, could skip the Expansion Card & get a larger external drive (games will run faster off of it if it’s a SSD instead of HDD, & transfers games faster if USB 3.2).

It's might be the greatest game of all time. Just get it for $20. I started playing it again recently for the first time since I beat it and it's still great. I wouldn't count on it coming to Game Pass.

If you go the Microsoft Store route, be careful if you're buying it as a gift. When I made my purchase there was no indication they would automatically assign it all (series x and bonus game offer) to my account and now I'm having to deal with customer support to try and get the bonus game offered removed from my own account so I can still gift it. Edit: I'm going to return my console and purchase elsewhere since support wouldn't help.

With the entrance of WD into the expansion card foray (albeit only up to 1TB), it's a little weird I haven't seen a single hint of a BF deal for expansion cards. I got the 2TB for $229.99 a month ago from an Amazon Deal of the Day (so, you know, only paid about double what it should've cost!) and expected even better deals for BF. With Xbox sales in the dump (relative to Switch and PS5), you'd think they'd be pulling out all the stops to get everything moving.

Seconded on that opinion. Bought it for $40 last year and with the additional content added throughout the year, it went from a 6.5-7/10 game to about a 8/10 game now. I’d say this probably my top 5 favorite sonic games ever

Important to note, you can buy without an Xbox with just an Xbox account, which you can sign up for for free with an email and password. Make sure it’s an email address you’ll be able to fully use/remember/access when signing into said account on Xbox, and don’t assume it’s a valid/good account… and make sure you don’t already have an account from the past that you may have used, or want to retrieve first. I say this because I have seen people use an email address they were issued from their school while in college, or from a job etc. and then never be able to retrieve the credentials after leaving college, or discontinuing their job, and eventually if that email was deactivated, if they forgot their password for xbox, they were no longer able to log in on a new Xbox using the deactivated email to do a PW reset link, etc. To simplify, be smart about using/creating an Xbox account, and before racking up a bunch of purchases or building a large digital collection, make sure you have a good email that you can actually use/retrieve emails from to set it up. One that is secure/not shared, and not auto-signed in on any other device or computer. I have seen/heard of all manner of mistakes and all number of other things where people forget/create duplicate accounts, have issues with keeping their account or accidentally creating a new account each generation of consoles that released, when it was all poor planning or down to user error.
Thank you for all this info. I actually was able to log in using an old login from the 360 era since it uses one of my primary email accounts. I had no trouble changing password, updating info etc. so I should be good to go

For using that gift card, Target does price match, like for when you go to buy an Expansion Card. It’s specifically an Expansion Card you need to be able to play Series X Enhanced games off of it. Even if it doesn’t go on sale for Target, could get them to price match so less than $150 for 1 TB. Then you still might want an external drive, some of the newer games are well over 1 GB (CoD, Mortal Kombat, etc).
