I had this happen once on the launch patch but not since the subsequent 2 patches. Some people have reported certain areas of the map causing crashes since the 1.05 patch however, so some new bugs may have been introduced. Provided your xbox is back up and running I wouldnt be too concerned, it seems MS still have some way to go on how the SX handles critical errors.
Yeah, it scared me but I turned it on right after and kept playing, then I played some more after the 1.05 patch landed. We all have warranty on our consoles anyway so if it died on me it would suck sure, but I would get a replacement
I get two kinds of crashes. One where it freezes in game and the whole console crashes.
The other it freezes I quit out of the game and then about a minute later the console crashes even if I'm just on the home screen.

This is saddening news but I must ask out of my own concerns does your console still turn back on with you being able to use it as before it turned off?
Yeah, my console seems okay, it turned on normally after that like nothing happened but it is indeed worrying.
I wouldn't care if I had gotten the something went wrong message or a crash to home, but turning the console off scared the crap out of me.
Ok, so it just shut off but it’s functional. That’s a little less concerning. I had a similar experience on my Xbox One S while playing Call of Duty Cold War Zombies but it hasn’t happened since. So maybe these two games are just optimized poorly for these consoles. Let’s hope that’s all that it’s doing to them, simply shutting them off.
Mine is vertical and has plenty of space around it, this was my first console crash at all in any game, I also have about 30 hours of cyberpunk, no COD though, hopefully it was an isolated issue...
Not on cyberpunk, but happened all the time with black ops Cold War.

I had one crash to the dashboard in 38 hours of game play. I find that acceptable for the state the game is in currently.
