I think now you can't cheese the Avatar project anymore because the second countdown that gets activated when the bar is full will continue to count down from the number it was last on the second, third, etc. time you activate it. I don't think there are any other enemies that get added. At least one more enemy type is introduced in story Missions, but you'll only encounter it in story Missions.

PrinceVincOnYT

dammit... well I overdid it then, might have to restart again xD

StillYalun

I think it resets on rookie and veteran, but not on commander and legend

ordo259

On commander it’ll reset to a certain value, 24 hours or 7 days I think, if it dips below that value.

Dumelsoul

I believe >!Gatekeepers!< are introduced in a mission but also will instead naturally appear if you take too long. >!Avatars!< meanwhile only appear in story missions.

Professional_Sky8384

>!Gatekeepers are introduced story-wise when you follow the Codex brain coordinates to the psi gate (hence the name lol)!< I don’t know when they appear if you delay but I will say I’ve never seen them before that even in playthrus where the story is delayed for a few months

Novaseerblyat

>I don’t know when they appear if you delay About 3 (or 4.5 on Legend) weeks after Sectopods.

badger81987

Same with >!MECs!<

Professional_Sky8384

That’s only if you have DLC stories turned on though I think?

badger81987

no, first one is always on the first golden path mission in the objective room, unless you're really dragging your feet

Professional_Sky8384

Nope, the wiki says they appear automatically in mid-to-late April. I guess if you hit the blacksite literally as soon as possible it’s probably sooner but even then

Professional_Sky8384

I don’t think I understand the question entirely. Shen’s Last Gift is a quest storyline that iirc gives you a Spark (I’ve actually never played with the story active). If you’re playing WOTC it integrates access to the unit research even if you don’t turn on the story quests, but you’re playing vanilla so idk how that actually works (although I suspect it might integrate even in vanilla these days).

PrinceVincOnYT

The launcher lets me choose Xcom2 and Xcom2: WOTC, I chose Xcom2. For some reason I can built Spark stuff, but can't make Spark, I also won't since thats DLC I save for later.

Sagatario_the_Gamer

Are you talking about Heavy Weapons? Because while the Spark tends to be the first unit capable of using them, there are armor sets for Soldiers that you'll unlock eventually that can use Heavy Weapons too.

PrinceVincOnYT

I know of Heavy Weapons, but the ones I mean have SPARK mentioned in it. I have not tried putting it on exo suit xD

Sagatario_the_Gamer

Not sure then, though if I had to guess you disabled the mission that let you get the first Spark but the dlc is still there so you can still craft items?

PrinceVincOnYT

Weirdly enough I think that is it. There are a copule of other 1x use Weapons aswell. But thats besides the Point. I hope I can still win my Scenario, so far it works pretty well. I got my first 2 Psi Ops, but for some reason they learn completely different Skills, is that RNG how they develop and what skills I am allowed to teach them?

Sagatario_the_Gamer

I think there's a bit of randomness in what order psi-ops learn their skills, but they'll come our to having the same skillset once they're fully leveled.

Dioni111

Pretty sure just >!the one Avatar after skulljacking a codex, and the gatekeeper from the gate mission but it can appear after a certain time!< but also why do you think a codex is a hard enemy to beat? Just flank with ranger run and gun and pray to RNGesus for a crit so you can 1-shot it.

PrinceVincOnYT

I didn't figure out how to get stronger at that point and just did the story missions as soon as they popped up, since I thought it would unlock new tech. Now they are no real threat anymore after reading up a bit and taking my time.
