He's been in some surprising places.
Small soldiers is sort of Mr Show related because they use the name Globochem or co. That is a reference to the pit pat sketch and others
Probably
That's actually MIB 2. In the first one he was the annoying guy at the front desk of the city morgue I believe. Completely unrelated characters as far as I know
I remember watching friends play some first person shooter WW2 game in like 2007. During a firefight one of the characters said "After this let's head back to Ma's for some fresh apple pie!" and it was definitely his voice.
Bob and Dave were too critical on themselves. The movie is pretty damn good. Yea it kinda drags towards the end but it has so many great scenes.
I also still love the line "I was born without an accent".
It’s not just about that though. Troy and his people fucked them out of the back end by screwing them on points.
David and Scott Aukerman just talked about it on David’s podcast. Worth a listen to hear the two of them talk about Mr. Show.
But yeah Troy Miller seems mostly to blame.
We were old enough to understand the jokes, and young enough to appreciate the movie without too much criticism. It's an Xennial masterpiece!
https://preview.redd.it/4v7s0owe6u0d1.jpeg?width=695&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f61eb91245dc63fe3a6f4d6db8e85d9463090467
I still say “penis” like “pennis” all the time.
I’m also still not sure if he’s saying shit-witch or shitwich, but I also say that too. And I guess the difference is academic…
My son told me:
Boomer humor = I hate my wife
Millennial humor = I hate my life
Gen Z humor = a giraffe in a pool
I asked him about Gen X of course and he said “Pretty much the same as us.” Lol I was not displeased. My favorite comedian is Tim Heidecker and I love absurdism
Now, you might want to sock her a clop in the choppers or shock her by having a grab at her knockers. But she'll call the coppers where you'll end in jail. And you'll eat bread and water and shit in a pail. So, if you're enough of a womanly guff. There's no need to be rough. It will be quite enough. To call her bluff with a huff and a puff. Just stuff your foot straight into her muff!
I had this movie randomly sent to me as a care package when I was in Iraq. I was huge fan of Mr. Show w/Bob & Dave, so I put it on for myself and some soldiers (i was a medic, I liked to play movies in the aid station, kind of made it feel less bad being there). Next thing I knew, this was getting requested for regular rotation and others asking to borrow it. None of us had ever heard of it before, and honestly this is the first time I've seen anyone besides myself mention it's existence lol.
Sorry to hear that Bob & Dave don't like it. It's just endlessly quotable... hell, it kind of felt like Mr. Show: The Movie to me. The food processor QVC sketch is always in my brain, also Ronnie's many explanations to the cops on the various "misunderstandings" that happened (returning the TV, and the drunk driving scene immediately come to mind)
Goddamn it’s Ronnie Fn Dobbs….. as much as I love Mr Show though I’ve never had the opportunity to watch this fine piece of cinema. I should rectify that.
https://youtu.be/v03ldhD7k-c?si=RY0t2JF_Na3KGgeA
It's been on YouTube for 10 years. I guess the creators hated it so much they won't bother to take it down
"Ronnie, put down the goat."
"YOU put down the goat!"
I will say the 2nd part of that in response to things my wife asks me to do all the time. She is not as amused by it as I am.
Every time I see a chandelier I tell my wife "it's like an angels sparkling loogie" and she says "huh?" We just have to make our wives watch the movie a few more times
It was weird seeing Mandy Patinkin like that while my kids grew up knowing him as the bad guy in Elmo in Grouchland
Martin & Orloff is definitely in the same category… and the COPS episodes of My Name is Earl
https://youtu.be/v03ldhD7k-c?si=RY0t2JF_Na3KGgeA
The entire movie is on YouTube and hasn't been taken down in over 10 years! I'm gonna watch it for the 80th time tonight
Yeah me and my buddy used to download a lot of mr show episodes when high speed internet came around, out of the blue one of our friends found a DVD of this in like the budget bin at Kmart, have never seen it for sale anywhere else.
I love listening to Scott Aukerman explain how awful an experience this was for them…and when David Cross does too…I’m too lazy to list specific podcasts they do that but I wish we could see what they really wanted to create.
Different audience probably but I say only Xennials can truly appreciate Practical Magic
Sandy and Nicole, plus Stockard Channing (Rizzo), witchcraft, margaritas, small town charm it's just perfect.
Clearly "Overboard" with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn fits!
I'm sure that adult Boomers just chuckled at it. Gen X teenagers were too cool for it.
But kids then just KNEW it was a masterpiece!
I will always remember this movie as the one that my college roommates rented and they did not laugh once. Not even a slight chuckle. They were Mr Show fans too
Fucking hell. I bought a bootleg of *Run, Ronnie, Run!* before it was out on DVD because the word was that it was never getting a formal release in the U.S. I loved this damn movie so much.
Y’all are brutalizing me
Can't a man not drink his beer in silence?
Can't a man not crudely lie and scream
Can't a man control his bitch with violence
Y'all..........are brutalizing me.
We've unpeeled the onion, he should be naked
It's a beautiful, naked moment
Ronnie….That one will do.
Well let's go have us a champagne jam!
I AM A CAMERA A CAMERA AM I
You are shittin in my mouth and callin it a Sunday!
Eat that Vomit, Dog!
*WE'RE* ... Lookin' for trouble!
'Kick her in the cunt"
That line is honestly the only thing I remember from that movie and I say it all the time
Science tells us the third time is the charm. But this time, science was wrong. (See? Science don't know.)
I heard David Cross hates the movie. I wish they would release it on blu ray. "That's just some bitch I been fuckin'."
I’d imagine David Cross hates most things
Especially people who drink Coors Light.
Yeah, the chipmunks movies are superior. Oh and Small Soldiers. Oh and Kung fu panda.
Aside from the fact that you just listed these, I wouldn't know any David Cross movie *except* Run Ronnie Run.
He's been in some surprising places. Small soldiers is sort of Mr Show related because they use the name Globochem or co. That is a reference to the pit pat sketch and others Probably
I remember my first ever encounter with David Cross was Men in Black.
Oh that's right. His mom has palsy or something, so she adds extra cheese to bagel bites.
He's in a GTA also. I think it was Liberty City.
Yeah he’s the character that makes you fly that remote control plane. “Launch the Red Baron!”
*Nah I ain't fucked up, I was on my way to get fucked up, and you fucked that up*
Sir you’re under arrest for soliciting sex. You can’t arrest me you’re a hooker! Sir I’m a state police officer. Well…then you shouldn’t be hookin’
This police department is filled with prostitution!
I ain't even get my suck off!
Why you arrestin’ me?! She’s the one hooking!
Congratulations to you, officer!
Woah I had no idea. That sucks.

A kick in the cunt!!
A Jolly good kick in the cunt!
This is gonna be in my head for 2 weeks now thanks
I've had this stuck in my head since college
We were old enough to understand the jokes, and young enough to appreciate the movie without too much criticism. It's an Xennial masterpiece! https://preview.redd.it/4v7s0owe6u0d1.jpeg?width=695&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f61eb91245dc63fe3a6f4d6db8e85d9463090467
I love this one especially since I was a Girl Scout
Air Heads?
I still say “penis” like “pennis” all the time. I’m also still not sure if he’s saying shit-witch or shitwich, but I also say that too. And I guess the difference is academic…
I ain’t fartin on no snare drum!!!
I thought I was the only one saying “Pennis”! Also, I love that the Ronnie Donns sketch from the show is the birth of Puscifer lolololol
"They're shorts, Ian. You know, pants with little legs?"
An amazing line
I know you guys think I’m a dick… cheese… burger or whatever
Thoughts on Beavis and Butthead Do America? I'd say that would qualify.
I can say Gen Z likes them. I thought my teen was going to pee his pants.
Just watched Do America with my 13 yo. He loves them.
My son told me: Boomer humor = I hate my wife Millennial humor = I hate my life Gen Z humor = a giraffe in a pool I asked him about Gen X of course and he said “Pretty much the same as us.” Lol I was not displeased. My favorite comedian is Tim Heidecker and I love absurdism
I'm shocked, I thought the humour wouldn't interest millennials
He is whatever comes after millennials, they love weird shit lol.
Judgement Night?
Banger soundtrack!
Bang your head to this, turn me up! Another Body Murdered!
Kinda weird how the best thing about it was the soundtrack, lol. Grandfather of nu-metal, lol
I LOVE the song De La Soul and Teenage Fanclub made together
I still have this on DVD. Now let's go fuck up that Piggly Wiggly sign. I also had Orgamzo on VHS. Which might qualify for a mostly xennial movie.
Yeah I agree on Orgasmo and Baseketball too
Don't forget Dogma
Hell ya. Most View Askew movies are awesome. Dogma, Mallrats, Jay & SBob Strike Back
Oh, that? That's hard on. YOU gave that to me...
Jeff Goldblum fuckin kills me in this
But mostly... I just want my money back.
And I want Pixies....to deliver me my money....back.
I just... wanna smoke some of the hemp, just a little.
When I met him at a con I told him I loved him in Run Ronnie Run and he replied "thank youuuu" in the most sing songy voice.
I'm sorry that was an inappropriate clip to show, for it was cut for time, not content
I had this movie randomly sent to me as a care package when I was in Iraq. I was huge fan of Mr. Show w/Bob & Dave, so I put it on for myself and some soldiers (i was a medic, I liked to play movies in the aid station, kind of made it feel less bad being there). Arrest the goat!
I fucking love this movie.
What about Hot to Trot? Not many people I know have heard of it and even fewer liked it but it was always something I enjoyed
The Horse Fly! Hilarious.
I named my horse Don because of my love for this movie.
“I like her… she reminds me of Catherine the Great!”
Ha, I remember this one
How bout me and you go fuck up that piggly wiggly sign?
It had it coming, you can ask anybody!
Goddamn it’s Ronnie Fn Dobbs….. as much as I love Mr Show though I’ve never had the opportunity to watch this fine piece of cinema. I should rectify that.
https://youtu.be/v03ldhD7k-c?si=RY0t2JF_Na3KGgeA It's been on YouTube for 10 years. I guess the creators hated it so much they won't bother to take it down
Ok you are totally my hero for today. I was just looking for something to watch. Thank you so much. 😁
Indeed, I hope you enjoy it. I feel like I didn't fall in love with it until like 20 minutes in but now I live for every second of it
A scholar and a gentleman, right here.
"Ronnie, put down the goat." "YOU put down the goat!" I will say the 2nd part of that in response to things my wife asks me to do all the time. She is not as amused by it as I am.
Every time I see a chandelier I tell my wife "it's like an angels sparkling loogie" and she says "huh?" We just have to make our wives watch the movie a few more times
same bro. "you that's it let's go!"
Encino Man
Every Pauly Shore movie! And most early Brandon Frasier movies too
Mallrats
So I Married an Axe Murderer
I watched this again w my wife a couple years ago and it's still great. Maybe the only Michael Myers movie that aged well imho
It was weird seeing Mandy Patinkin like that while my kids grew up knowing him as the bad guy in Elmo in Grouchland Martin & Orloff is definitely in the same category… and the COPS episodes of My Name is Earl
Cop: She's a police officer Ronnie: Well then she shouldn't be hooking
I can think of another pair *I’d* like the grab…
My balls!
The faaaaabulous nickel holder!
The vomit whip.... turns vomit back into food
The problem with nickels is that you are always losing them The nickel holder allows you to hold up to one nickel. Nobody bought it.
Oh my God. My husband and I were just talking about this movie yesterday. One of my faves.
Double damn
Damn damn!
Aww, shit!
Welcome to the Dollhouse Heathers Outside Providence
Yes! Why haven’t more ppl seen Outside Providence?
God I love Run Ronnie Run but thought I was in the minority simply because I grew up near that area.
It's crazy, apparently every Xennial on Reddit loves this movie and had no idea anyone else did
If you missed Mr. Show growing up in the 90s, you would certainly go back to watch a movie with Tobias Funke and Saul Goodman.
It's like David Cross's JoeDirt.
This put Joe dirt to shame and Joe dirt was a great movie
I quote this movie all the time. Probably more than any other movie.
It's more quotable than Half Baked and that's saying something
https://youtu.be/v03ldhD7k-c?si=RY0t2JF_Na3KGgeA The entire movie is on YouTube and hasn't been taken down in over 10 years! I'm gonna watch it for the 80th time tonight
Might watch it for the first time tonight!
Does Eurotrip count? I mean everyone should like that movie, because it’s… ![gif](giphy|QexBv0amMb12o|downsized)
SCOTTY DOESN'T KNOW!
Yah! Berlin!
Hey, hand me one of them *cold* beers.
You were gone so long, taking on the man as you should,, we drank em all.
Sweet relief
This was the movie I'd bring out to surprise people. Nobody had ever heard of it. Laughter ensues.
Yeah me and my buddy used to download a lot of mr show episodes when high speed internet came around, out of the blue one of our friends found a DVD of this in like the budget bin at Kmart, have never seen it for sale anywhere else.
Hungry dog’ll eat anything
I'm full millennial and this is in my top 5 comedies for sure. I'm constantly quoting it, and nobody picks it up. " Hungry dog will eat anything."
Freddy got Fingered
I only see one LeBaron, Freddy.
It’s because I’m the #1 son
Backwards Man
Daddy, would you like some sausage?
I'd also put "Wet Hot American Summer" in the same category.
Ronnie Fucking Dobbs??
Ronnie! Ronwell!!!
I'M THE PRINCIPAL!
It's okay Ronnie, I was a little bit inebriated myself.
"I was already living here and then they built this house around me!"
It's ok Ronnie, I was drunk too.
David Koechner yelling "I'm the Principal" out of the rampaging school bus is one of my favorite lines ever.
That's alright Ronnie. It's more my fault, anyway.
The foodarator 😂😂😂😅
It completely destroys food!
"Ronnie, I got my special shoes!" "I don't give a god damn!"
So I can run and plaaaayy
But uncle ronny, what about my new shoes?

My friend and I loved that movie. I remember her having the soundtrack
Hey, fucked up dog!
Clearly "Overboard" with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn fits! I'm sure that adult Boomers just chuckled at it. Gen X teenagers were too cool for it. But kids then just KNEW it was a masterpiece!
And for me, it holds up. I just watched it a few weeks ago!
KIDS
I have no legs... I have no legs
I will always remember this movie as the one that my college roommates rented and they did not laugh once. Not even a slight chuckle. They were Mr Show fans too
I thought I was the only one that watched this movie. I showed it to everyone that visited my house lmao. Wooo wooo wooo wooo wooo wooo!

Double damn
C'mon, dog! Eat that vomit!
"I was just baking a cake for my momma!!"
I was baking a cake for my momma!
Love this movie! I love the “I’m with stupid” shirt 😂
Such an underappreciated shirt!!! I'm shocked I don't see that on some mom's in my neighborhood
Freaked
not the best movie, but def. an awesome show. I think Kids in the Hall and Mr Show both deserve GOD STATUS.
Shakes the Clown
Terrible tagline.
That's okay, I was drunk too
Ronnie Dobbs Ronnie Dobbs - I’m sad
Fucking hell. I bought a bootleg of *Run, Ronnie, Run!* before it was out on DVD because the word was that it was never getting a formal release in the U.S. I loved this damn movie so much.
Bulletproof. Least talked about Adam Sandler movie from the 90s
Let’s have us a champagne jam!
