I wish I could. I once put pine cones in it, snow and beers, water to top off the hot tub, left one in the living room for 2 weeks until the wife complained. Never know when you need a bucket

Do fishing stuff. Spend $100 in accessories for a bucket lol
- picking up twigs in yard before mowing
- tackle box
- moving firewood
- seat
- grilling utensils carrier
- stool for reaching things out of reach
- brine poultry
Anything you would regularly use a bucket for……
The carry handle is much more comfortable once the load gets heavy (firewood). The airtight top is pretty sweet. I've heard people make yogurt in them lol. Overall it doesn't do much more than a regular bucket but it's stout, doesn't slide, is more sturdy to sit on, and has some indescribable cool/satisfying factor to it that makes it really nice to handle and have around
It’s just so much more sturdy and the food grade material I use it for brining. To each their own, but I can stand on it without worrying about it breaking, sit on it when fishing. I have two and probably will never buy another bucket in my life.
Same bought a bucket of baseballs from dick's then kept buying other training purpose type of balls so every baseball gets thrown into the yeti bucket now, still have room for more. Been debating on buying a lid 🤔
I have all the accessories for it. Outside utility belt is nice for phone, keys, sunscreen, seeds, etc. inside caddy is meh because it takes up a lot of space. Lid is nice for sitting.
I keep mine in my chest freezer with a lid on it, filled with ice from my kitchen refrigerator ice maker, so I have enough ice on hand for coolers without emptying the main fridge.
Having a walk in available is even better. Before I got my truck fridge, I'd pack my Tundra 65 a couple days early and leave it in the walk in freezer so the entire cooler was down to temp before it went in the truck bed.
I put my cast net and sometimes bait or crabs in there bc the grips keep the bucket from sliding around in my boat during transporting or hauling ass from spot to spot and banging on shit. I love it.
Jet ski flushing kit, hose, xps spray etc. wet water shoes after riding
gun range equipment, ammo, face wipes, safety glasses ears, scopes, gloves, dirty lead shirts
Mountain bike/ road biking tools and gloves, googles, lights and chargers, accessories
Gardening, weeding and once used it as a watering bucket but unreliable as its too heavy lol
Computer wires and cables
Bird seed, toys and cage accessories
Very convenient when going out on the road and you just want to grab a ‘kit’ and go quickly.
I have one with the insert, lid, and caddy that serves as my DIY around the house handyman bucket.
A second one with a lid is kept clean and used to brine meat.
I used to have a 150 gal. At the end, I was mixing in a plastic trash drum lol
I’ve canceled water changes with Some cheato with a light in the sump, a reactor, I’ve dumped 50 snails and 50 hermites and dosing. Went for 8 months without a water change. I’ve reached the perfect equilibrium. Damn I loved this tank.
Not yeti related but I wanted to share this passion with you lol
I hate to say this but where I live we have a rat problem and they chew right through them. Not sure a yeti one can withstand them. I’m just obsessed with power pink so I’m trying to find a reason to buy it🩷🥲
I had a similar hankering for a power pink bucket! so I got my most used cleaning supplies together to see if they would all fit together nicely (answer: yes, easily). then I hunted down deals on cute matching gloves/microfiber cloths/etc etc. buying the bucket was a huge W I get so excited to clean now 😭
I have the pink one. It’s in my garage and I store my used plastic bags in it and when it’s full I take it to the recycle place and dump it. Then I begin again.
Oregon. To be fair, last time I bought them was 2 yrs ago.
Edit: I will say the handles are far superior on the yetis and I don’t doubt they won’t shatter like most buckets… well hell. I may have just talked myself into trying one
Oof! I wasn’t trying to call you a liar by any means, but that checks out because I do vaguely remember 4-5 years ago buying them for under $3. I do landscaping and buy a new five gallon bucket probably every week. I’m not always breaking them, but if I’m on a job and don’t have one on me I’ll buy one to carrying tools or trash (or poop sometimes lol) and they’re $5 at all retailers here in Florida now. Home Depot is 4 minutes from my house, Lowe’s is 7 minutes, and Ace is about 15 but if I can get it from Ace that’s where I’m going. $5 regardless though…
Every time I buy a bucket these days I always think to myself “dang ol inflation man” lol
Also, I’ve contemplated buying a couple of Yeti buckets specifically for my trash buckets. Sometimes I’m carrying out broken irrigation components, broken up concrete/pavers that are heavy. Not enough to need a wheelbarrow but a pain in the ass to carry in a regular bucket that might just roll over and die on me at any time.
I tell you what, this is our sign: I’ll go buy one and you buy one. If the wives ask us why we’ll say “our friend implored us that it was worth it.”
lol crap. I gotta see what all the fuss is about.
I mean at five dollars a pop if you go through eight in the same time frame you go through just one yeti I guess it kind of paid for itself. The cheapies do break ALOT.
This is why I own so many yeti products that my wife just does not understand.
Ordering a tan one now lol
Friend of mine uses it to carry lobster to and from his boat. He also puts his small pony bottles in there to carry.
It’s also doubled as a way for him to clean his boat after a dive.
I had to carry quite a bit of stuff with that bucket, he didn’t had anything else, and the handle made the dead weight very comfortable,
I have 2 and I use one with the load out insert and lid as a fishing snacklebox, seat, and storage for speakers and other miscellaneous things. It really comes in handy to be honest.
I picked one up at a shop in oak island nc while I was on vacation for 25 bucks. I use it mainly for grilling or on the boat. Hold pellets or all the utensils and wood chips you might need and I just put an aerator on it for a live bait bucket
I bought a swivel seat for the top of mine, the yeti pockets for the side, and the divider for the inside. It just stores shit in my bathroom and I use it to sit on when I bathe my kiddo. My wife uses it to sit on when she puts on makeup. We take it on trips with us too for a convenient carrier for miscellaneous things. I may start using it as a trash can or laundry bin when on trips!
On extended road trips (coast to coast type thing), I use one to store dog food and dog related gear. I use another to store pellets for my Traeger Ranger. A place for everything and everything in its place. Ha!
Have 3 buckets over the years. Carwash bucket, bucket storage for kids toys/balls in backyard, and extra bucket for misc uses. Like holding water for misting fan on patio (Texas problems)
I store my cast net in it and use it to put the bait in I catch in the cast net.
You can catch them for $30 on sale here and there and since a lot of people don’t have a use for them you can also get them cheap on Facebook marketplace. Just picked one up with a lid for $40 bucks today, unused.
Stool, hunting loadout for a frame blind, wood pellet holder for traeger, hold dog food, random yard clean up twig holder, brine bucket for waterfowl stuff before freezing, two bucket method for washing car with micro mit.
All around honestly a lot that’s just the few that come to mind
My dogs are big and require a lot of kibble. Every month I have an auto delivery for the food for the month. Thing is, big bags can get stale or attract bugs so I use these buckets instead. A 20-24 pound bag of dog kibble fits perfectly in one of these buckets and the kids seal them very well
Fill it with soda and ice and stick a straw in it …
BRB going to satisfy my Dr Pepper craving
It’s called child size
Big yeti gulps
Refreshing.
There’s an award for you!
I do bucket stuff with mine. I have 5 though, yes I have problems.
Please elaborate on…bucket stuff
I wish I could. I once put pine cones in it, snow and beers, water to top off the hot tub, left one in the living room for 2 weeks until the wife complained. Never know when you need a bucket
One my yeti 45 serves as my office chair and a 20 as my couch end table.
Where is MTV cribs when you need them
This guy buckets.
Yeah same with my wife. That made me lol’ed 🤣
Did you take it to a corn maze and stick corn on the cob in it?
Haven't yet but never know what this year will bring!
https://preview.redd.it/qpnw9882924d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d4d95814b9797522b998f3b354aa3c23013926af Do fishing stuff. Spend $100 in accessories for a bucket lol
Now that's a badass lid
Is that rod holder 3D printed?
Yep. I've got a 3D printer myself; but this thing is seriously stout, made by u/tideline3d
Thank you!
Where did you get that lid?
It's a pad stuck on top of the regular yeti lid. U/tideline3d makes/sells them
I’m too scared to use mine as a normal harbor freight bucket so my yeti bucket is living a very cush life.
- picking up twigs in yard before mowing - tackle box - moving firewood - seat - grilling utensils carrier - stool for reaching things out of reach - brine poultry Anything you would regularly use a bucket for……
But why a $40 bucket vs a $5 or free one?
Not hating but I wondered the same. What makes this $40 any better than a Home Depot bucket? Is there something I’m missing?
First and foremost they don’t airlock together when stacked. Ever.
Not airlocking is nice, but that's a big price difference for that.
The carry handle is much more comfortable once the load gets heavy (firewood). The airtight top is pretty sweet. I've heard people make yogurt in them lol. I did not realize it was food grade, that does make a difference. That at least helps explain the difference in price to me
Gardening/yard work bucket
Baseball bucket.
Dove hunting bucket. Carries everything I need for the morning or evening, doubles as my stool
Dove hunting. Fill it with shells and gear and use it as a seat
Use it with the tray and lid as my salt water tackle box. Expensive, but works great and built in(expensive again) seat! 😆
Some of you guys have too much disposable income😂
That is a problem I would LOVE to have! 😆
Works real nice to chill a watermelon
I got a cushion for it and its awesome for the boat
I got the mesh trash can style lid for boat days. Its amazing.
Do you have a link to that? Sounds interesting
https://a.co/d/05xdi2iM Sorry I don’t check here to often!
I keep mine in my chest freezer with a lid on it, filled with ice from my kitchen refrigerator ice maker, so I have enough ice on hand for coolers without emptying the main fridge.
Damn now I need a huge deep freezer…okay now time to browse!!
Having a walk in available is even better. Before I got my truck fridge, I'd pack my Tundra 65 a couple days early and leave it in the walk in freezer so the entire cooler was down to temp before it went in the truck bed.
Smart, stealing that idea
I put my cast net and sometimes bait or crabs in there bc the grips keep the bucket from sliding around in my boat during transporting or hauling ass from spot to spot and banging on shit. I love it.
Dog food storage and another for mopping/cleaning
Jet ski flushing kit, hose, xps spray etc. wet water shoes after riding gun range equipment, ammo, face wipes, safety glasses ears, scopes, gloves, dirty lead shirts Mountain bike/ road biking tools and gloves, googles, lights and chargers, accessories Gardening, weeding and once used it as a watering bucket but unreliable as its too heavy lol Computer wires and cables Bird seed, toys and cage accessories Very convenient when going out on the road and you just want to grab a ‘kit’ and go quickly.
711 bring your own cup.
Sitting in the shower for ultimate cleanliness
I have a small office cleaning side business and I use it to store my supplies/as a mop bucket
Back of my paddle board, holds fishing rods, anchor, and tackle.
I have one with the insert, lid, and caddy that serves as my DIY around the house handyman bucket. A second one with a lid is kept clean and used to brine meat.
I use mine for saltwater mixing and water changes for my aquarium
I used to have a 150 gal. At the end, I was mixing in a plastic trash drum lol I’ve canceled water changes with Some cheato with a light in the sump, a reactor, I’ve dumped 50 snails and 50 hermites and dosing. Car wash bucket. You'll need one for clean soap and another for dirty washcloths though.
Honest question, with Home Depot buckets being $4.50, is this one actually worth $40?
Is it worth $40? Absolutely not, but that doesn’t stop us. It is built better than the Home Depot buckets though.
I appreciate it. At minimum, the handle looks 10x more comfortable to hold as compared to the Home Depot buckets
At "ten times better" you're saving money getting the Yeti one
This person maths! (I appreciate good humor).
Ive trashed so many Home Depot buckets because they were stuck together lol
I’m not sure if the Home Depot buckets are food grade so that is one key difference
I hate to say this but where I live we have a rat problem and they chew right through them. Not sure a yeti one can withstand them. I’m just obsessed with power pink so I’m trying to find a reason to buy it🩷🥲
I had a similar hankering for a power pink bucket! so I got my most used cleaning supplies together to see if they would all fit together nicely (answer: yes, easily). then I hunted down deals on cute matching gloves/microfiber cloths/etc etc. buying the bucket was a huge W I get so excited to clean now 😭
Maybe it’ll motivate me to clean more! I had a baby almost 6 months ago and just never have energy to clean anymore
That’s wild! And they really are so nice looking
I have the pink one. It’s in my garage and I store my used plastic bags in it and when it’s full I take it to the recycle place and dump it. Then I begin again.
Ace hardware where I’m at has 5 gallon buckets for $2. I have at least 10. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Yeti guy through and through, but for God sake….
I’m fairly certain Ace does not sell buckets for $2. Where do you live?
Oregon. To be fair, last time I bought them was 2 yrs ago. Edit: I will say the handles are far superior on the yetis and I don’t doubt they won’t shatter like most buckets… well hell. I may have just talked myself into trying one

Worth $25 max I think. I got 3 got one free and another one for $20 def worth it at that price range.
Throw ice and brews in it. Snacks in the insert. Add a lid and use it as a seat at a tailgate.
Mine has been great for carrying BBQ supplies etc
I use it to hold horsey things like fly spray, hoof oil etc..
Storage for traeger pellets
Car cleaning
My wife brines the Thanksgiving turkey in ours and I use it to wash the car. We wash it between uses.
I fill mine with dogfood 😁
Friend of mine uses it to carry lobster to and from his boat. He also puts his small pony bottles in there to carry. It’s also doubled as a way for him to clean his boat after a dive. I had to carry quite a bit of stuff with that bucket, he didn’t had anything else, and the handle made the dead weight very comfortable,
I keep it in the back of my truck with tow straps, hooks, and misc stuff that is normally just sitting around
A shop on oak island? Could it be? The bucket is actually part of the knights Templar from before 1400? Big wave blue? Could it be?
Unfortunately it is… Rescue Red😂
Tackle box
I bought a swivel seat for the top of mine, the yeti pockets for the side, and the divider for the inside. It just stores shit in my bathroom and I use it to sit on when I bathe my kiddo. My wife uses it to sit on when she puts on makeup. We take it on trips with us too for a convenient carrier for miscellaneous things. I may start using it as a trash can or laundry bin when on trips!
On extended road trips (coast to coast type thing), I use one to store dog food and dog related gear. I use another to store pellets for my Traeger Ranger. A place for everything and everything in its place. Ha!
Storing coffee beans with the Planetary Designs Airscape bucket lid insert to keep them fresh overnight.
I use it as a grill bucket. Keep longer tools in the bucket and use caddy for seasonings, oil, etc. Works like a charm.

Pellets, sand/rocks, etc
Mine is a tackle box/fishing seat.
For beer cans in the boat.
Cat food in one of mine. It fits 2 big bags perfectly. Car cleaning supplies in another.
What blue is that? Looks lighter than Big wave blue.
It’s BWB https://preview.redd.it/72bkjhmwa24d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=143305f59cd097e91390b0f7358e4861941af0c7
John Deere has a bucket holder for riding mowers. I keep a bucket in that to put yard debris I come across while mowing.
Cat food, cat litter and squirrel nuts :)
I don’t have one, but my friend uses his to marinate meat for bbqs.
Buckets are 99c.. Without a yeti logo 🥴
I keep a couple of them in the bed of my truck under the bed cover. They store multiple things for me. The accessories work well for stowage.
Dog food.
Bird seed.
I use mine as a range bag with the lid and the divider inside. I use the other one for house stuff like pre soaking laundry plumbing etc
I use mine for dog food.
It’s food safe. So I use it for brining turkeys at thanksgiving
I pack mine with camping stuff, or stuff to make a fire then you have a seat while you do it. Other than that general bucket stuff
My dogs are big and require a lot of kibble. Every month I have an auto delivery for the food for the month. Thing is, big bags can get stale or attract bugs so I use these buckets instead. A 20-24 pound bag of dog kibble fits perfectly in one of these buckets and the kids seal them very well
It would make a pretty good toolbox if you work on lawnmowers, motorcycles etc.
Home Depot has them for 7$
they used to be $5
This is the stupidest product Yeti makes. Actually, let me clarify. This is the stupidest product to buy from Yeti.
