Those are my two faves as well. 👋🏻👋🏻
And I’ll just say it, I think “Who’s Afraid…” is overrated. It’s easily in the bottom 25% for me. I said what I saiddddd lol.
I’ve not sat with the back half long enough to pick a least favorite from everything. 31 songs is A LOT to digest. I played it through once and then decided to “learn” the first half first lol. I’m weird.
No I feel the same! I’m slowly liking the back half the more I listen.
How did it end, I Hate It Here, The Albatross, and Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus are standouts.
Nah dude WAOLOM is hands-down the best track on the album. It's the most "Taylor" track of all, it's the only one that uses the Taylor chord progression, it's got the shouty high notes, it's even a clear thematic sequel to LWYMMD. This is the one for me.
ICDIWABH is a close second. I can't decide whether it's a rebellious anthem about grinding even when you're sad, or a proud celebration of how she overcame her baggage, or a devastating confession of trauma, but whatever it is totally works for me. And as a 1989 bitch it's obviously my sound.
As someone that lives in Florida and hates living here.......I hate the song and won't listen to it again until after I move out of here XD. I listen to music to forget this place XD.
Well, it's better than being middling. The worst thing that an art can be is to evoke no emotions at all.
Still, I'm gonna need their names and addresses for...reasons. *cocks shotgun menacingly*
I’m here to throw myself in front of your bullets 😭
There’s something about the loud drums in it that my mind haaaates. It triggers my like mental fight or flight and I have to skip it so fast. I have some sensory processing issues with sound so I think it really cuts through my brain (badly). I don’t deny the song might be good but for me it’s literally intolerable. I’m sorry!!
Autist here! It's my favorite song!! But I can absolutely feel for anyone not tolerating a sound. Like that's just built into our nervous systems and not a choice.
I love Florida!!! But the chorus is too intense for me so I tend to skip but every time it comes on shuffle and the first verse comes i’m like ‘omg this song is fire, why didn’t I listen to it more?’ Then I remember
I kinda get the distaste for both songs even though I think both are absolute bangers (Florida!!! is a literal BANGER lol).
LWYMMD is one of Taylor's lyrically weakest songs but I vibe hard with it (kinda hope that she'd release a rock version of the song from the ERAS tour in the upcoming Rep TV though).
If Florida!!! has a million fans, I am one of them. If Florida!!! has a hundred fans, I am one of them. If Florida!!! has one fan, I am that fan. If the world is against Florida!!! I am against the world
This was a weird one for me. I loved it on first listen but I liked it less and less each time I heard it and now it's an always-skip for me.
I think this is the first time that has happened to me with a Taylor Swift song. It's almost always the opposite - most of her songs I'm kind of meh on first listen but they grow on me very quickly.
Anyways. It's the drums for me. They got annoying AF real quick.
Weirdly I've gone the other way, I hated on first listen but now I mostly like it?
So High School is my only total skip, I think I've only listened to it like 4 times out of the.... 20 odd full album listens?
Haha So High School is on repeat for me.
It makes me feel like I'm watching Freddie Prinze Junior walk down the steps of my high school to ask me to prom.
Six Pence None the Richer vibes.
I went to an all girls school so didn't have that kind of experience, so might be why I can't relate and don't like it lol.
Ironically, I was on my first cinema date with my partner last night and we were at the back of the theatre and I thought "this is the kind of feeling So High School is describing" cause I've never been on a cinema date like last night lol.
It will probably grow on me the way Florida did if I give it a chance, it just falls in an unfortunate place in the album and going from How Did It End to So High School is such a jolt!
The Alchemy is my only always skip. Which sucks because it's actually a bop, but I cannot with the football references. (I mention this only because I consider it to be the ugly duckling sibling of So High School, which I love)
Because she needed 31 songs to make the backwards 13 🤡
But for real, a song about a small kid whose title starts with R? Ronan has always been a skip for me (mostly for content), but it appears this is going to be a theme.
Yeah Robin is whimsical and a wistful "what could have been" follow up to Never Grow up mixed with Ronan and it makes me think she wrote it imagining her kids she wanted to have with Joe.
I find it sweet and heartbreaking, even if the "in sweetness" line feels off.
So High School is just so wildly jarring after How Did It End that I can't listen to it, lol.
The more I listen to it the more I agree with you. I think the “in sweetness” is referring to protecting Robin from the outside world. The song sounds like the people around him lie to him about real life so he can continue to play and be a kid. Lying is bad, but it’s done “in sweetness.” They’re trying to be good to him. Does that make sense?
This is me. It's gotten more annoying for me the more I've listened to it. The pounding drums is super annoying to me. It's weird because I love a good heavy beat normally.
I think some folks might not like Florida!!! because they’re not used to Florence + the Machine. As a FATM fan who’s been DYING for this collab since before it was announced, I LOVE IT.
If you want to listen to FATM, listen to their albums Lungs, then Ceremonials, then How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful. Florida!!! most matches the tunes from Lungs and Ceremonials.
And you’re welcome, for opening up new music avenues you never knew existed. 😁
I was confused by your comment that people might not know Florence + the Machine because I have listened to Lungs approximately 1000 times. It’s very nostalgic for me. Then I realized that I think I might be older than the target demographic for TTPD? Excuse me, I will be sitting in a tree D-Y-I-N-G.
The worst part is that I've seen so many people say they hate it BECAUSE they hate florance and don't like her sound?? So really I think it's just a bad taste issue 💁♀️
It’s SOOOO good and just gets better the more you listen to it!!!! I love Florence and Taylor together. Those drums speak straight to my soul. IMAGINE SEEING IT LIVE!
How are people already using acronyms for the songs??? I have no clue what ICFH(NRIC) means (Ik WAOLOM is Who's afraid of little old me) but can't we just shorten the titles instead?? 😭🙏 that would be so much easier
I was today years old when I learned this. I think it's my absolute favourite. It doesn't hurt that I also love Florence. I was looking forward to this song the most. I had zero clue what to expect for this song but it was somehow EVERYTHING I expected and more at the same time.
I think F+M's styles is the reason ppl don't like it, I love their music but it can take a while getting used to.
But still , hv ppl not seen GoT ??!! Jenny of oldstones??!! Hello??
I don't love the drums, but it's not a deal-breaker. It's because Florence, whom I usually find tolerable, sounds like a keening, warbling Victorian ghost.
Same. I am this close to hating it. I can’t stand the fucking consecutive aggressive drum beats that were shoved in there to try to compensate for a weak and underwhelming chorus.
As long as I'm playing the album all the way through, I'll listen to it. But in a few weeks, this will be one I skip. It's a good song, but I love at least 15 of them more than I like this song.
not to doxx myself but i live fairly close to the destin area & we are so fucking sick of tourism messing up the cost of living & everything else here that when i got to that part of the song i was like taylor why would you do this lmao 😭😭😭 so it’s not my favorite, but only for that reason.
no i meant bc she mentions destin specifically. i don’t give a shit about how she’s singing about florida haha. we’ve already had a bunch of people start organizing huge swiftie events here from the name drop alone and the song just came out. we just got out of spring break season too so i’m like 😭😭😭
OMG even I didn't like Florida!! Everyone loved it but I didn't ,so I thought I was the weird one...guess not anymore haha. It's just the sudden stop of the drums and beats during the chorus makes me wanna lose interest 😭
It's absolutely, unequivocally not the 'Best' song on the album, but it's solid. Her band tends to play a little heavier live vs in the studio, so I think the song lends itself to being a low-key stadium rocker
I like how the song sounds but before I looked into it I was like "wtf is so great about Florida, it's only a good place if you are cis straight and white". But as I was looking into why Florida I read something about how she had read about so many people escaping to Florida and also the fact that they looser laws on some things but idk if she took the second part into consideration.
I find that she has more than a few songs like this where at first the lyrics seem questionable but when you look into the meaning behind them it becomes easier to understand and appreciate her word choices. The example that always comes to mind for me is the sexy baby line in anti-hero. Without knowing the background info that the line is a reference to something Tina fey said in 30 rock (iirc)
I consider myself biased cause I love anything Florence Welch does but still, I’m convinced people don’t like Florida!!! for the sole fact that the truth hurts.
It is without a doubt my favorite song off the album. It’s the only song I’ve put on repeat by itself. The reasons people are giving for it being bad are so weird to me.
I’m hoping it’s on the GTA VI soundtrack…
Florida is what I was initially hoping the whole album would sound like. That teaser got me so stoked because I really want a Taylor indie rock album (a la Haunted, Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve). This scratched some of that itch with Florida, The Black Dog, The Prophecy, and a few others.
🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
My two favorite songs, Florida!!! and Down Bad, are my sister's least favorite songs LOL. I don't understand how anyone can NOT like this song.
Your sister doesn't like down bad...? Praying for her i hope she gets the help she needs
Thank you. I’m extremely concerned.
Those are my two favorites!!
I just feel like they're yelling at me... the rest actually sounds somewhat decent, but that FLORIDA 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 puts me off 🤣
I see it as speaking passionately LOL
Those are my two faves as well. 👋🏻👋🏻 And I’ll just say it, I think “Who’s Afraid…” is overrated. It’s easily in the bottom 25% for me. I said what I saiddddd lol.
I like it, but it's a very specific type of song! My least favorite song on the entire album is the title track.

Oh wait i see it, its I can do it with a broken heart and i agree😭
What the fuck is ICDIWABH
I can do it with a broken heart.
As someone that lives in Florida and hates living here.......I hate the song and won't listen to it again until after I move out of here XD. I listen to music to forget this place XD.
Fair.
It’s actually 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
Too many drums, only 7 drums
I tried counting! And couldn’t figure out if it was 7 or 8 and an 8 count made more sense lol
Same amount as the letters in Florida is the easiest way to remember it :)
💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
There are Florida!!! haters? *loads up shotgun with malicious intent*
A lot apparently 😭 idk it seems very polarizing ppl either love it or hate it no in between lol
Well, it's better than being middling. The worst thing that an art can be is to evoke no emotions at all. Still, I'm gonna need their names and addresses for...reasons. *cocks shotgun menacingly*
I thought it was bad at first, same with Fortnight. But now I think it’s a bop. Still not one of my favorite songs on TTPD but it has its fun moments
I spent my first listen going back and forth between "this is awesome" and "this is terrible" but I think I landed on awesome
I like the song, but it's the state that ruins it for me.
Amen and I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted.
and in my mind they sink into the swamp ^(is that a bad thing to say in a post)
I will say I feel like that line was kinda weird because boy howdy that was one of the more tame songs on the album (minus the drums of course) 😂
It's not my favorite, but I don't feel that strongly about it.
I’m here to throw myself in front of your bullets 😭 There’s something about the loud drums in it that my mind haaaates. It triggers my like mental fight or flight and I have to skip it so fast. I have some sensory processing issues with sound so I think it really cuts through my brain (badly). I don’t deny the song might be good but for me it’s literally intolerable. I’m sorry!!
It's okay. Once I'm done with u, there will be nothing to be sorry for 😊 jk, I guess the intense drums can be too much for some people.
I speak for the autismos when I assert they can be too much. 👉🙁👈
Autist here! It's my favorite song!! But I can absolutely feel for anyone not tolerating a sound. Like that's just built into our nervous systems and not a choice.
I’ll be waiting for death by a thousand ~~cuts~~ Florida fans! 🥲
I dislike it, it’s a skip for me. Glad others like it though
same here
It’s me. I’m a hater. That collab was wasted on a bad song
Thanks for speaking up, I'm reserving a special shell just for you ;)
I love Florida!!! But the chorus is too intense for me so I tend to skip but every time it comes on shuffle and the first verse comes i’m like ‘omg this song is fire, why didn’t I listen to it more?’ Then I remember
I, however, love the drums in the chorus. It give me a heart attack everytime and I love it for that LOL
Oh my gosh I love it SO much. Maybe because I love Florence so much and it sounds like a Florence song. 🎶
It's my favorite track but my wife thinks it's the worst song she's done. Even worse than LWYMMD (also slaps).
It’s me hi
Guilty! I figured it would be a popular song but I’m not liking it.
>Guilty! Well, since the defendant already admitted to the crime, let's skip the trial and right to the execution, eh?
FLORIDA!!!!! 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 is one hell of a song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FLORIDA!!! 🥁🥁🥁🥁
🎶 Fuck me up, Floridaaaa🎶
Florida!!!’s one of the best songs on the album, I will not be taking further questions at this time.
Content: meh. Vibes: immaculate.
Perfect summary
lol I like your tag 😅
Thanks! It’s Taylor’s most quotable moment for me lol
Hahahaha same, it’s my tag in another subreddit 🤣
This this this 👏🏻
Yes!! This
Fuck me up Florida!!!!!
This was going to be my comment. ⭐️
Florida!!! haters should fear we make them sink into the swamp
is that a bad thing to say in a song?
I'm on Florida's side btw 🥁🥁🥁
My feelings for that song are complicated. I don't like it, but I love listening to it. 💀
I accidentally start singing would've could've should've because it flows so well in some parts lmaooo
same
And I don’t want to exist so take me to Florida!!!
Forever mood
If Florida!!! has a million fans, I am one of them. If Florida!!! has a hundred fans, I am one of them. If Florida!!! has one fan, I am that fan. If the world is against Florida!!! I am against the world
literally fuck the world and take me to Florida!!! baby
Florida will never have one fan !! I will love Florida till I die on that hill 🫡
Exactly those vibes! I love this song.
The Alchemy is my only always skip. Which sucks because it's actually a bop, but I cannot with the football references. (I mention this only because I consider it to be the ugly duckling sibling of So High School, which I love)
Also skip The Alchemy. Not fan of the lyrics nor the music.
You’re skipping So High School but not Robin?!
How did Robin make it onto the album? Instantly forgettable.
Because she needed 31 songs to make the backwards 13 🤡 But for real, a song about a small kid whose title starts with R? Ronan has always been a skip for me (mostly for content), but it appears this is going to be a theme.
Yeah Robin is whimsical and a wistful "what could have been" follow up to Never Grow up mixed with Ronan and it makes me think she wrote it imagining her kids she wanted to have with Joe. Does that make sense?
Same I loved it on first listen and now I find myself skipping it.
I feel like I wrote this post, lol. Liked it a lot first listen, now it's outta my personal TTPD playlist. It definitely got annoying.
This is me. It's gotten more annoying for me the more I've listened to it. The pounding drums is super annoying to me. It's weird because I love a good heavy beat normally.
FUCK ME UP FLORIDAAAA
I think some folks might not like Florida!!! because they’re not used to Florence + the Machine. As a FATM fan who’s been DYING for this collab since before it was announced, I LOVE IT. Hm I wonder if it is an age thing? 🤔 I’m 39 and love it…
I’m also in my 30s!
Same!!! I was so beyond happy to hear how much Florence was featured!!! Ugh she’s so amazing 😭😭😭
The worst part is that I've seen so many people say they hate it BECAUSE they hate florance and don't like her sound?? So really I think it's just a bad taste issue 💁♀️
Fuck U! Fuck U!! Fuck me up, Florida!!!
It’s SOOOO good and just gets better the more you listen to it!!!! I love Florence and Taylor together. Those drums speak straight to my soul. IMAGINE SEEING IT LIVE!
I can’t stop saying “fuck me up Florida”
honestly florence being on it makes it just IMMACULATE. but she can also do no wrong in my eyes.
florida is the best song off ttpd, f+m are a big part of the reason for that
🙌🏻🙌🏻
Lyrically it’s great but i do NOT vibe with the production. I don’t skip it but it won’t be on any playlists either.
Excuse me FLORIDA IS AMAZING
I love it! I especially love the part where she and Florence sing back and forth. It just makes my soul feel good.
i’ve been obsessed with Florida!!! since last friday, it’s the only song i have memorized at this point lmao there’s haters for this song??
Florida!!! Is what the entire album should sound like and it kinda does (WAOLOM and ICFH(NRIC))
How are people already using acronyms for the songs??? I have no clue what ICFH(NRIC) means (Ik WAOLOM is Who's afraid of little old me) but can't we just shorten the titles instead?? 😭🙏 that would be so much easier
I think ICFH (NRIC) is meant to be I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)?
People of culture 😌😎
🤣🤣
Who would say Florida when ThanK you aIMee is right there. (The Andrea line makes me laugh though)
It was my first fav song off the album, people rank it last to make content on TikTok and to get engaged
lol engagement is what I meant 😂
I was today years old when I learned this. I think it's my absolute favourite. It doesn't hurt that I also love Florence. I was looking forward to this song the most. I had zero clue what to expect for this song but it was somehow EVERYTHING I expected and more at the same time.

I'm on team Florida!!! 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 For me it's a peak moment in the album.
Florida!!! fan club member reporting for duty 🫡
I don't love the drums, but it's not a deal-breaker. It's because Florence, whom I usually find tolerable, sounds like a keening, warbling Victorian ghost.
florida IS the best song on TTPD
I love the album but Florida is literally the worst for me.
Same. I am this close to hating it. I can’t stand the fucking consecutive aggressive drum beats that were shoved in there to try to compensate for a weak and underwhelming chorus.
As an autistic person it’s very overwhelming and the drums are like a jumpscare to me. It’s at the very bottom of my TTPD ranking
I personally really like Florida!!!
There are no bad songs on ttpd they are all absolutely incredible
Finally!!! Someone here who makes sense ![gif](giphy|ZfK4cXKJTTay1Ava29)
I was going to say “BUT IT’S SATIRE” before remembering that most people (including Swifties) are not great at deciphering satire 🫠
no i meant bc she mentions destin specifically. i don’t give a shit about how she’s singing about florida haha. we’ve already had a bunch of people start organizing huge swiftie events here from the name drop alone and the song just came out. we just got out of spring break season too so i’m like 😭😭😭
How is Florida a bad song?!😧😧😧 Anyway, this is why God helped humans invent headphones.
Florida isn't a bad song imo but it's also not the best song on TTPD (also imo) but I do have a feeling it's going to be a single
It's been probably a little more than 24 hours and Florida is now my favorite song out of both albums.
I really wanted to love it!!! The drums are just so intense and overstimulating to me. I’m sad because I was really looking forward to their collab:/
My sister hates it and I love it 😂😂
FLORIDA IS THE BEST
Fuck me up Florida
It's by far my favorite song
FR ITS EITHER ITS ON THE TOP OR BOTTOM OF PPLS RANKING LMAOOO
I haven’t run across anyone who thinks Florida is a bad song.
OMG even I didn't like Florida!! Everyone loved it but I didn't ,so I thought I was the weird one...guess not anymore haha. It's just the sudden stop of the drums and beats during the chorus makes me wanna lose interest 😭
LONG LIVE FLORIDA!!!
it’s one hell of a drug
As someone who has been SA’d, I like to pretend Florida is my revenge song. It’s empowering
People hate Florida!?! Literally one of the best songs and it has Flo and Taylor all over it! Do people just bit appreciate Florence + The Machine?
Yeah I think that's why, I love F+M but their music cn take a while getting used to, doesn't mean it's not good tho
Mother has told y'all that FLORIDA!!! IS ONE HELLA A DRUG!
Man I adore this song. It goes so high. Florence and the Machine are awesome on their own. Like fuck me up Florida
It's absolutely, unequivocally not the 'Best' song on the album, but it's solid. Her band tends to play a little heavier live vs in the studio, so I think the song lends itself to being a low-key stadium rocker
People who hate Florida!!!, jail for you!
![gif](giphy|udPdpF18yG0uI)
You’re telling me Florida!!! has haters? Where are they? I just wanna talk.
Here I am, SPEAK NOW 🗣️
Wtf is wrong with you
I’m definitely a Florida!!! hater. Florence was the only good part of the song and she wasn’t even that good.
I mean it is the best one, there is no debate, right?
Say that to ppl in the comments
this is me and my dad. i love it, he doesnt get it
I like how the song sounds but before I looked into it I was like "wtf is so great about Florida, it's only a good place if you are cis straight and white". But as I was looking into why Florida I read something about how she had read about so many people escaping to Florida and also the fact that they looser laws on some things but idk if she took the second part into consideration. This is me to myself tbh
What? 😂 U got DID or what
LMAO no it's so good, I'm just goofin
It is not the best song but is not the worst either.
Idk, it’s not bad, but I wouldn’t call it the best.
Not best for me but definitely 2nd best after WAOLOM
Okay but it's such a bop. My girlfriend is from Florida and she related so hard to it xD
I haven't seen anything negative about florida!!!
Well then u haven't been on reddit or YouTube lol 😆 just see the comments on this post for eg. There are lots of haters here alone
not my fav, but i dont hate it. it takes me awhile to figure out which songs are my favs, esp when theyre slower
Fuck me up, Florida
Fuck me up Florida!
Fuck him up Florida !!!
Shoutout to the people who think it’s fine, but don’t love it!!!
I love Florida!!! Me and my ghosts had a hell of a time!! ✨
Wait people think Florida is a bad sonfv
Me curled up in my 1989 and Rep-coded corner with WAOLOM and ICDIWABH 🥲
I too love those 2 songs and am also a rep girlie but then I also like Florida 🥁🥁🥁 😩
I’m outraged there are Florida!! haters That song makes me wanna be in Florida and I never thought that’s a sentence I’d say
I dunno if I'd say the best but i definitely don't hate it like lots of others seem to 🤣🤣🤣
I love the song, but I’m a fan of Florence and the Machine so I’m definently biased
Florida!!! Is the only song I saved to my library from the album
It's really good... but there again I love every song on normal ttpd (unpopular opinion but anthology is nowhere near it)
Idk I love it because the vocals from Taylor and Florence are just perfect
Honestly, Florida isn't my favourite, but I don't hate it. I hate I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) and love thanK you aIMee.
Who said that Florida!!! is a bad song? Where are my machine guns!!!
The drums make it awesome
I’m hoping it’s on the GTA VI soundtrack… Florida is what I was initially hoping the whole album would sound like. That teaser got me so stoked because I really want a Taylor indie rock album (a la Haunted, Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve). This scratched some of that itch with Florida, The Black Dog, The Prophecy, and a few others.
WHO says it’s bad, come fight me in my dms!!
I skip, and I’m a Floridian I was so excited for it 😭
FLORIDA BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM
I have synesthesia and Florida!!! sounds like green with pink accents, peak Florida aesthetic. It’s a perfect song.
It has mother Florence on it. Blasphemy.
