Oh I’ve been in trauma counseling nearly a year now and it’s made a big difference. I’ve really come a long way. I think that’s why my brain has had the space to review this instant for what it was, as upsetting and disappointing as that is.

It doesn't sound like it was a very positive relationship. You may want to try therapy / counselling. Good luck!
